Sexist and ageist company - AVOID

We were blamed for damage to our neighbours fence. They automatically blamed us, sent us an email telling us we will be billed. We then provided evidence and explanation proving it wasn't us. They completely disregarded what was said. I was so distraught I had to get my father involved... of course when a middle aged man phoned up, he was listened to and agreed with but when a young women contacts them she's ignored and blamed. We received no apology. Extremely unprofessional!!!! Will never use William H Brown or any other company that utilises Sequence Home.

Incompetent. Would give 0 if I could

This is one of the most incompetent group of people that you will ever come across. I hope their prices are good as I do not understand why anyone would ever use them.

Rude, slow and unresponsive. The trifecta of success obviously ...

Liverpool Sequence - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Liverpool
Jones and chapman - sequence lettings

I would avoid at all costs. Do you research, read the fine print because they certainly won’t tell you anything at the time.
They work solely for the tenants and themselves. If you’re a landlord GO ELSEWHERE!!!! You’ll regret it otherwise

Very poor

As other have said their management staff are inept and cannot complete basic tasks. No communication between departments and sloppy errors. Would not recommend for rental or property purchase.

I'm still waiting to complete on my…

I'm still waiting to complete on my house sale and purchase after more than 5 months. There is only the buyer in the chain. My buyer also went through sequence which seems to have doubled the delays. Do not use this company if you want good communication and the process to be completed in a timely manner.

We moved out of the property we were…

We moved out of the property we were renting with the NORWICH branch of William H Brown three months ago and are yet to receive our FULL deposit back.
We had the property professionally cleaned and made sure everything was as it should be, yet William H Brown are doing everything in their power to withhold our deposit due to a landlord not responding to have the funds released.
We are owed £1,500 by William H Brown, the only reason we've been given for them withholding our deposit is "unpaid bills", which we have proven time and again is not true. They have not sent any evidence of these bills and after contacting the council and OVO directly, they have confirmed there is no money owed on our accounts.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AND THEIR SUBSIDARY, SEQUENCE HOME AT ALL COSTS.
As a side note, if you're renting in Norwich DO NOT rent a property owned by Silver Let LTD. They are crooks and will try to steal your money.

Admin is an absolute joke. SHAMBLES of a company

They let out property’s that are unfit for purpose. You will have to fight tooth and nail to get your deposit back even if you do not damage the property.

The administration of this company is an absolute shambles. A adolescent monkey could run a company in a better manner.

Our particular property manager was fighting against us at every opportunity.
They will lie to you to get you off the phone. But if you manage to stay in the phone you’ll be made false promises and fed lies… if you are a landlord looking to sequence to manage your property I would stay away.

If you are a tenant that lives in property managed by this circus than I wish you all the best in getting your deposits back

Horrific customer service

Horrific customer service, they don't communicate between departments. They provide a shoddy repair service, can't get the landlord to reply for months unless its to do with a renewal of a contract then suddenly you get plenty of annoying emails. would never ever choose to rent through this place again.

No shower for 7 weeks yet they're putting the rent up

Someone I know has been without a shower for 7 weeks, during summer. They keep sending electricians around to provide a quote yet nothing gets done. The house is falling apart, every week something else breaks. Yet sequence emailed stating the rent was going up and he needs to sign another years contract rather than a roll on agreement having completed his first year of residence. He's paid on-time for a year, pulled out a fallen down shed and put gravel down in the garden and smartened it up hugely. Absolutely disgusting to see someone being treated like this. He will be paying less to have a beautiful new build in a village location under the rent to buy scheme. The landlord and estate agents should be ashamed

Landlords - Do Not Use

I've put the date of experience as today but truth is the agency has always been a sham.

The staff have no idea what the other is doing. The communication internally is atrocious. This ultimately leads to terrible communication to both the landlord and tennant.

Everything is am extra on top of the fee.

Staff are very little help when trying to close issues out.

My tennant had to contact me direct after numerous attempts at seeking help from sequence.

Updated details with them multiple times and receive correspondence when they need something but have yet to receive a statement of account since changing my email.

If you want a service to actually manage a rental property for you this is not the company to go to. You might aswell do it yourself for the benefits you get.

Overpriced for a terrible product and service. I'm currently terminating my agreement with them and moving elsewhere.

Something stinks

Sequence home manage the flat above my leasehold flat. Substantial water damage over many months has resulted in the ceilings to my leasehold flat needed to be replaced. This company not only do not repair the outstanding problems in the flats they are renting out, they also cause structural problems to other non-sequence properties affected by the lack of adequate and appropriate repairs. Landlords beware.

Do not rent a property managed by this company

If you are a renter please do not rent any properties that are managed by Sequence.

I moved into a property in South Wales last year, and immediately had to report multiple serious maintenance issues including; buckled living room floorboards (health hazard), and a bedroom window that could not close or lock (security issue).
These issues were not addressed for the entire time I lived in the property (7 months)

Also there were about 5 or 6 different staff members that were put in charge of the maintenance of our property, so it was impossible to know who to keep in contact with, and I had to repeat my concerns over and over again.
The line of communication between me, Sequence, the landlord, and the letting agency was honestly atrocious. Impossible.

Absolutely shocking company. I honestly don't know how they are able to run their business.

Stay well away!!!

Had an absolutely abysmal service as a tenant. Blaming everything on the landlord!

We had an issue with the property 3 months after moving in where the kitchen floor collapsed. I have 2 kids under 5.

It took them 6 months to get this fixed as they were “waiting on the landlord”.

The contractors they use are cheap and cheerful, I swear they must put money on top of quotes to get things fixed.

When they ripped the kitchen floor up they found it was all damp and needed to be replaced. The floor needed drying out as it was wood based and was soaked.

Was left bare for about 2 months as they refused to use dehumidifiers to make sure it was dry.

The contractors eventually came back round and put a cheap Lino down.

After this we have suffered with a damp problem. In the kitchen and the bedrooms directly above the kitchen.

Guess what it’s my fault we have damp and mould.

Eventually had the local council out who issued an improvement order on the property and to date absolutely nothing has been done to rectify the issues.

An independent contractor came out and said the property needs whole new windows, doors, and heating system as it’s a really old air flow system.

Every time I raise issues I’m met with arguments, “property management” blaming me for all the issues going on. Because Alfie couldn’t be bothered to do it because he was getting no response.

Landlords / Tenants beware, they will promise you the world.

Now in the third gas engineer to conduct the safety check because the first one wasn’t trained to work on the air flow system. The second one came and then never sent them the report and then apparently it was my job to call the gas engineer to find out what was going on.

Dreadful

Dreadful - our buyers used them (recommended by Barnard Marcus). They were slow and unresponsive. It has delayed and at points risked the entire sale.
Don't use them at any cost and beware if anyone else in the chain does!

Scam

Was bought in for multiple talks about mortgages and given great advice very easy to contact and looked amazing,
Then they swindled me into paying for a lifetime service and an upfront fee for my mortgage,
After that it was near on impossible to get a hold of my Brooker never returning my calls or taking sometimes weeks to return a simple email
I lost £700 as the deal never went through and I gave up due to a ridiculous amount of stress due to to there complete ignorance once they took my money
Keep away it's all a big scam just to take your money
