Extremely disappointed with the inconsistency of the valuation process carried out by Connells Survey & Valuation.

My new-build shared ownership property was downvalued by £15,000, despite being priced in line with the development. This caused huge stress and uncertainty during my mortgage application.

What I find impossible to understand is that I was later informed that the identical property next door was valued at the full asking price by Connells through a different lender.

So how can two identical properties on the same development, assessed by the same valuation company, receive completely different valuations? It raises serious questions about consistency, fairness, and how these valuations are being determined.

As a result, I am now having to apply with a different lender at a higher interest rate, purely because of this valuation outcome, which will ultimately cost me more money long term.

I appreciate that valuations are subjective to a degree, but this level of discrepancy between identical homes simply does not feel reasonable or transparent.

Really nice guy, we connected as we had children of similar age. Felt very comfortable with him in our home.

The company were very efficient in contacting me to arrange the survey and helped to book it on a day that worked for me. The survey slot was between 8-9am and the surveyor arrived promptly at 8am - she was very friendly, professional and informative! Great company

Very impressed with the customer service I received. Was well informed in advance of the visit in terms of what to expect, also received a courtesy call 15 mins before the promised arrival time to let me know the exact time he would arrive.
The gentleman that did my valuation made me feel very at ease as soon as he arrived, conducting the inspection of my home in a very professional and respectful manner.
Would highly recommend this service.
