No audio provided despite it being advertised, we booked upper deck seats and the bus was advertised as being open top but half the top was actually covered so we ended up with a restricted view.

The bus stood or crawled through most of the route due to the traffic and it didn't actually show many lights.

Lots of the passengers left the tour early and were asking for refunds.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas lights tour. There is no way that anyone could manage to see all the lights on foot, so after a long day of christmas shopping, it was a relief to get on the bus. Barry, our guide, was very knowledgeable - pointing out interesting landmarks and relaying facts and history. He kept things fun with his christmas cracker jokes and a christmas quiz.
The light displays were amazing - so much work goes into them. It was also a great opportunity to appreciate the architecture of the buildings. When you're looking upwards, you see so much more than you do from the ground.
For once, it was convenient to be sitting in stationary traffic, as this enabled all passengers to take turns to capture the perfect photos.
It was cold on the upper deck, but it's worth paying the extra to get the best views. At least it didn't rain!

We did the ope. Top tour with English guide, and qe had a wonderful time. The guide was interesting and witty.

The guide was AWFUL. He stood up throughout the entire tour blocking the view of the lights, unable to take any photos. His narrative was boring and full of anecdotes about his previous jobs. We've taken part and enjoyed many bus tours from Brussels, Paris, Liverpool, Barcelona etc - this guide was by far the worse and the most boring we have ever encountered. Our tour was at 19:00 from the Southbank on the 20th Dec.

The other staff were great, v helpful and we liked the rest of the tour, we just wanted our guide to sit down and keep quiet !

Had the best night ever! Me and my son went to Green park bus stop and got onto the Golden tours Christmas bus upper deck and was met by an enthusiastic and energetic tour guide Xavier he did a brilliant job pointing out all the London history and the Christmas lights with some great joke thrown in along the way lol, my son was giggling away and really enjoyed it too! Casear was amazing too great team and both did an awesome job, this tour definitely kick-started the Christmas spirit thankyou so much! :)

I really liked it. We sat at the top and our guide Jason F. Was the star of the night. Really a happy and positive person who made the tour even better.

Had a fantastic evening tour seeing all the Christmas lights. Despite hitting London traffic and the weather being quite chilly, we had a delightful time and our guide Xavier was hoot- giving us lots of fun facts about London and the lights and more! Would highly recommend as a very enjoyable way to see the city and the feel Christmas vibe!

Very good tour. Bruce was a very enthusiastic tourguide and made the day effortless and entertaining with a great sense of humour. Very good day, full of sights and good information. Highly recommend this tour to others.

Bruce and Kiran were our guide and drivers for the day respectively. Bruce was absolutely brilliant in explaining everything with a bit of banter. Punctuality is the highlight for this trip. All the spots were covered in perfect amount of time.

Will give 5/5 for Bruce and Kiran for their assistance today.

Was really good customer Service on time 7pm Thursday night . The lady guide was very knowledgeable and friendly . Would definitely reçommend the tour to everyone.

Well organised and understands the different needs of passengers

We really enjoyed the bus tour around the London Christmas lights and the guide, Brennon, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained for the full 90 minutes.

Lovely trip to see the Christmas lights in London. Traffic was very busy so progress was slow but better than trying to walk as there were queues on the pavement. However we couldn’t take decent photos because the windows were all smeared. Whoever washed the windows didn’t use a clean brush. Would have been perfect if the bus had been clean outside.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. They took money for declined transaction and wouldn’t budge up to prioritise looking into it. Customer service is useless, ignore emails for days and no update/response/ETA given. Would not recommend to anyone to deal with this company!!!!!!!! Faulty experience from first interaction!

Our family purchased a 1 day hop on hop of London bus tour.
There were no live guides at all.
Buses took way too long when it was so cold. Others like top view, big bus and toot came way more often.
Last but not least least we were waiting from 330-440pm at stop near Westminster (#24). Buses were showing on the website as not far away but never showed. One bus did drive past many waiting people but was not in service so sped past despite many people trying to flag the bus down.
When we called the company we were told in winter the service stops at 3pm. This is in no way clear on website timetable etc and the bus we departed just prior to 3pm did not mention this at all! We were told by another operator when we called again that the decision to stop the service at 3pm was made same day (rather than this being a winter schedule) and communicated by the app. We checked the app and no messaging of this was clear to us! No managers were available to speak with us and all we could be advised was to send a complaints email! Terrible communication and no actual people to deal with complaints directly.

30mins to wait between buses was to long and the buses took off so quick from stops!

It was very cold and the bus was late we were told to arrive at 4:45 we had a call at £5:20 to say they had trouble with the bus it arrived a little after 5:30 by this time we were very cold
The staff were lovely and apologised
I did think we would have been offered hot drinks straightaway but we weren’t
We were given the cranberry spritz we had ordered which were flat
My husband glass was cracked and I didn’t drink mine
The hot drinks came which were lukewarm
I won’t be booking a tea bus tour again

The bus stop was at least half a mile away from the directions you get when you click in the address. We made the bus with one minute to spare after a long walk down Buckingham Palace Road. When I advised the staff of the terrible directions, he totally ignored me. Obviously not the first time it had happened. All Golden Tours needed to do was changed the way the address appears and make it clear it is Bus Stop
8 and not 8 Buckingham Palace Road! Would not use this company again due to their unwillingness to accept feedback
