I have good experience the staff is very good and friendly 👍👍👍and service my glasses is good I love and can see properly it was the best test and glasses in my life
When I went for a pair of distance specs a couple of years ago I found the staff quick,efficient and very friendly. Last year I went to update my reading glasses and after tests I was told that they were referring me to Harrogate hospital. That referral has proved invaluable and when I went again to update the distance specs three weeks ago the did all the tests again but did not try to sell me new ones as my sight had so not changed enough. I waould recommend M&S opticians to all my friends.
Helpful, friendly, fully professional staff. Excellent new reading glasses mean I can read my book again.
From start to finish, the service was really good from booking my appointment, through to collection. Every single staff member was polite, courteous and very helpful. It’s also very calm and relaxing and you don’t feel pressured.

Linda was lovely too. Great advice, great spectacles.

My father & I visited M&S Gemini store for a hearing test. I must credit the team for exceptional customer service, as when we approached the reception area we were greeted with nice big smiles, which helped settles any nerves we may have had.
Kate the Audiologist spoke to my elderly father with empathy and an understanding of his needs, he was totally at ease which for me was respectful. My father’s comments to me was that he fully understood what had to be done as Kate explained everything in a timely manner.
My experience as it was my first time having my ears tested, was the same as my father’s!
Summing up keep up the good work and a big well done 👏

Marks opticians castlepoint had amazing customer service on eye sight test procedures, Jaya has an excellent approach. Also, excellent sales consultant Lourdes McKenzie , help me with first time varifocal.

I visited the Exeter store for the first time to purchase 2 pairs of glasses.
6 weeks later after countless of phone calls chasing them I finally had a full refund and a £50 M & S voucher as compensation.
The lack of poor communication, extremely poor management and disorganisation from the store was something you couldn't make up.
The store manager was hardly ever available to take my calls (always on the other line or in back to back meetings for the next 2 days!) Overall I must have phoned the store at least 12 times to chase up my glasses.
I contacted M & S customer care in the end and within 24hrs I had a response.
I would not recommend going to this store for glasses.

I went today to Marks and Spencer opticians at Castle Point Bournemouth. The whole procedure was excellent. Lourdes was very good at talking me through the process and helping me with my choices. Dan the optician was very good at explaining everything about my eye health. I would thoroughly recommend this opticians to anyone.

Don't be taken in by the "No obligation" statement
Went to book an assessment as needed a full, independent audiology report and second opinion for the ( frankly) rubbish nhs service. Was willing to pay for the report but did say that was unable to purchase any M&S aids at the moment.
Staff member was very nice but was told sorry, no. I would have to go to my GP. All I wanted was an independent assessment that I wouldn't have to wait another 3 years for via nhs.
Think they just hope you'll buy their aids. Probably understandable as they are a business.

I visited Marks & Spencer Opticians in Canterbury in April 2026 initially just to get a pair of prescription sunglasses — but I ended up leaving with two amazing pairs of glasses and such a fantastic experience from start to finish! Susan, the optician, carried out my eye test. She has seen me before and is honestly one of the main reasons I keep returning. She is incredibly thorough, patient, kind, and always takes the time to answer every question properly. You never feel rushed and her professionalism and care really stand out.
After my eye test I was helped by Alex, and wow — what brilliant, knowledgeable support she gave me. She helped me choose two pairs of Ray-Bans (even though i just wanted one pair i was blown away with the selection) i chose prescription sunglasses and also the most funky varifocal glasses with a gorgeous red tint (transitions). I was honestly nervous about getting varifocals, but Alex completely put me at ease and guided me through everything.
My glasses have been perfectly made, the fit and aftercare felt completely bespoke, and I have had SO many compliments on my new frames! The varifocals are absolutely perfect and so comfortable to wear.
This is a truly excellent opticians with outstanding customer service. Susan and Alex are absolute stars and such a credit to the team. I would highly recommend Marks & Spencer Opticians Canterbury to anyone looking for expert care, amazing service, and stylish glasses!

I purchase two pairs of glasses from the Ealing Broadway store, and collected them around a week ago. The staff were pleasant.
However, the arm of one of the frames came off in my hand a few days ago whilst I was putting them on.
I have requested a full refund and visited the store Bank Holiday to do so.
I was initially informed the manager would arrive shortly and he was the only one who could deal with refunds.
I was subsequently informed that he would not be in the store that day but would be in the next day and call me. I requested a call at lunchtime due to work commitments.
I was called mid morning by someone who was not the manager, on a line that was so bad I found it difficult to communicate. It was explained to me that the reception in the store is very bad.
I was quizzed as to what happened and explained.
I was offered a repair. I refuse this option as for a frame to break so quickly with normal wear is not acceptable.
Again I was told the manager was not in store that day but would call me tomorrow as only he could authorise a refund.
This is not good customer service.

I decided to visit M&S Opticians in Wolstanton, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
I only wanted to visit the Opticians to have a good browse at the glasses they have available as I like to look in person, try the glasses on and see the variety of colours/styles etc. A lovely lady called Laura came to assist me while browsing the glasses, trying on a range of glasses and getting some feedback on what kind of glasses would suit me. Laura was very friendly and patience with me. She helped with any enquiries I had. It was a pleasant experience in store and quiet at the time I was visiting. A fantastic service and will look forward to visiting the M&S Opticians next time. Thank you Laura

Julie and the team at Stevenage Opticians were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I was seen at very short notice, which I really appreciated, and the whole experience felt calm, welcoming and genuinely caring.
Julie was incredibly personable and took the time to listen properly, making me feel at ease straight away. Everything was explained in a clear, thoughtful way, especially around why I needed glasses and exactly what they would help with. It never felt rushed or technical in a confusing way — just really easy to understand and reassuring.
The whole team were friendly, supportive and professional throughout. I left feeling genuinely well looked after and confident in the care I’d received.
A brilliant service all round.
