Really bad
Really bad. Added to subscription to New Yorker in December and have not received anything since then. Confirmation email said "Your current subscription will be extended**:Between 02/18/2021 and 03/18/2021" and "Please allow 4-6 weeks for the renewal to be tacked on to the account." It's almost May. Excuses when we email. The COVID response is getting really old--how exactly does COVID screw up making some changes on a computer so badly?
UPDATE: About 2 1/2 weeks after this review the magazine began coming again.

Soooo slow
Soooo slow. Ordered and paid for the New Yorker on December 29th. Now April 6th & no issues yet. Discount Mags says wait another 8 weeks, see what happens, and then if necessary they will assist.
The price was decent, not great.
Certainly not worth a six month wait!
UPDATE 5/10/21 — Revised from One Star to Four Star. Received the May 10th issue. Once Discount Mags was aware of the problem, they were proactive & resolved it quickly.

No response from my 2 e-mails
I ordered 3 magazines. 4 months later I get an e-mail saying 2 of them are digital. It never said that when I ordered. I then wrote and asked for a refund for the 2. I have sent 2 e-mails with no response. I am very dissatisfied with this company and will never purchase anything again.

I HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY,YET I WAS BILLED ON MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT ALMOST $40.00 FOR A 2 YEAR RENEWAL. FOR A MAGAZINE THAT I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED,THEY STATE I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC RENEWAL ON THE MAGAZINE AND HAVE BEEN RECEIVING IT SINCE 2017. MESSAGES ARE ANSWERES BUT CREDIT IS REFUSED AS I HAVE NO PROOF I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE MAGAZINE !!! FIGURE THAT ONE OUT I FEEL I HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS THAN TO GO TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

Naomi in Customer Service was pleasant and helped me get a resolution that was NOT achieved using email back and forth. I highly recommend phoning directly when there is a big problem. Melody tried for several months to get my paid for subscription to me, but the publisher was sending the magazines (Kiplinger) which I wanted very much. Totally frustrated, I phoned and was delightfully surprised to see my money refunded without a hassle. Of course, I have 5 months of emails as my proof. I had ordered Kiplinger for 4 years with auto-renewal without problems. I would have preferred to have the magazine more than a refund, but customer service did respond and I rate them high for that!! Thank you.

I was having a problem with shipping on…
I was having a problem with shipping on magazines and contacted Discount Magazines and worked with a gentleman by the name of John.
John was amazing and kept in touch with me via email on every step.
Happy to say we got everything straightened out and the magazines will be back on track.

I have subscribed to Discount Mags for years at various times including a hunting and trucking magazine for my special needs cousin who loved the pictures and turned out to be the best gift anyone could have given him. I recently ordered a magazine for a year and I have discussed with Customer service over the years and today by email for the first time and the service has been so great. They are efficient, prompt and really nice to talk with. No issues whatsoever with any of my subscriptions and just wanted to take a moment to let others know if you're thinking about getting a magazine etc, you won't be dissatisfied. Thanks DISCOUNT MAGS

Not sure yet. Prices were great so I went ahead and placed an order as a gift. The first issue was received, but the second was not. I contacted Discount Mags and Customer service was responsive. They contacted the publisher and found somehow the mailing address for the second issue was not correct. I'm confused as to how that can happen, but...I am told that the account has been reactivated with the correct mailing address and my gift recipient is suppose to start getting the ordered magazine with the December issue. I will obviously follow up to ensure they do. I am hesitant to order anything else until I see several consecutive months of delivery.
