Awful place and awful staff
I was approached by a staff member over a 6-minute overrun on a table tennis booking, no prior warning was given, and no one was waiting for the table. When I raised this, she insisted I had to be completely gone from the premises on the dot, not just off the table, but fully changed, bags packed and out the door, simply because “other customers need to see the tables empty” This is unreasonable. Customers need time to wrap up, change and collect their belongings. A reasonable staff member would have come to the table to give a heads up, that is, after all, part of the job.
When I tried to discuss this, the situation escalated unnecessarily and security was threatened.
To make matters worse, the complaint was handled by someone who presented himself as the store manager but turned out to be a part-time duty manager. He handled the situation extremely unprofessionally, claiming to have reviewed CCTV footage and accusing me of using threatening body language towards the staff member. As a 5’2” Asian woman, I found this assertion frankly absurd and would genuinely welcome the opportunity to see this footage.
A ban notification was sent directly by the staff member I had the conflict with, not by management. That is a clear conflict of interest and deeply unprofessional.
I also witnessed a similar experience with a friend, who lost 20 minutes of his booking due to the same staff member insisting he show proof of booking despite it being visible on their system.
I won’t be returning, and I hope one day these two individuals will be able to find some real jobs.

Very impressed
