Being Able To Access An NHS Dentist
The dentist provides advice about your teeth as they were being checked. Always polite and patient. Some dentists will clean your teeth during your appointment but this isn't always carried out. New dentistry technology needs to be implemented into this industry especially for NHS patients because treatments are still paid for. A few hours on a Saturday morning and/or later in the evening for NHS patients because some people work long hours and cannot always attend appointments in the mornings etc.

The system is broken
When I come for a checkup I expect to have every tooth checked and recorded that doesn’t happen. It’s not a true dental exam anymore. I had a problem with a tooth that I’ve had issues with for a while and it was dismissed as the tooth just needed filing down. Thats absolutely not the problem and so I’m left not eating on that side, when I asked for a scale and polish I get a scale and no polish. I’m a NHS Patient and pay for my treatment and I pay for my national insurance contributions and have done since I was 16. I deserve better dental treatment than I’m getting right now in my opinion, i’m a customer and feel sometimes like I’m treated as an inconvenience rather than a paying Customer I’m not a private patient and I don’t feel that I should have to pay for private services when I pay extortion amounts out of my salary every month for national insurance. is that the fault of the NHS or is that an issue with this practice? I actually don’t know and I can’t compare because I can’t even get a dentist local to me anymore I don’t live in the area and have to travel 40 minutes to come to a dentist. The system doesn’t work.

Very rude and unprofessional receptionist
On my visit on 30/01/26 The receptionist was incredibly rude. While my dentist is lovely and goes out of her way to help it’s a shame the receptionist let the service down

Brilliant staff who put you at ease

I was very tense and was given a stress ball once in the chair poor ball got hammered but really was no need as the dentist was lovely and made me so relaxed and went back couple of weeks later and will be returning in atound 4 weeks time.
