Jasmine at the Grantham branch was extremely helpful and kind. I buy my reading glasses from boots but I walked in today with my sunglasses bought elsewhere. I was missing a screw. Jasmine was able to replace the screw for me and check my sunglasses all over. There was no charge which was extremely kind and unexpected. Brilliant service. Thank you Jasmine.

I visited Boots opticians in Cleveleys this morning and had extremely good service. I think it was Julia who served me but on my receipt it says Jeorgia so I may have her name wrong (Apologies) . Anyway not only did I purchase a new pair of reading glasses but also a pair of prescription sunglasses. Many thanks for all your help, much appreciated.

We visited our local Boots Opticians in Spalding in May 2026.
On arrival we were greeted by lady in a friendly and professional manner. The entire service is characterized by a great approach to people. Having been with Specsavers in the past, this is incomparable.

General service in store has been positive
My real disappointment has been with both the number and quality of the telephone calls I have received- mainly from a call centre ( using a local number to make it appear important) often contradicting what I had arranged and wasting my time.
I would recommend that the company abandon use of call centres

Wimborne branch failed to send me a reminder to get my eyes retested. Not a place I visit regularly but noticed my eyes deteriorated. I walked in to establish 7 months out of date for a test! Booking appointment OK. Nothing impressive. Service on appointment day fast, very procedural without properly chatting. Lady did my test thorough.
Boots lady unable to find classes for my small frame face. The lady who helped me find glasses used a phrase continously ' I just don't know'. Setting me and her up to fail. Requested the frame I was currently wearing. The chap failed to tell me the cost of frame when ordering. Service assistant on trying on the frame, service undesirable. Trying the frames on with plastic lenses, made me feel sick, could not see for eye change difference. I got told two different prices for frame, one from lady & other from LM who looked miserable as sin. Poor service overall. Told by 3 different individual Opticians, Glasses fitted by Boots did not fit glasses on ridge of nose and cheeks properly. Appauling service all round and lacks knowledge of fitting frames to people's faces. Boots is a process and procedures place only. All about the money. 4th to 16th May diabolical!

Visited Boots Opticians at Nottingham Victoria Centre today to have my glasses adjusted. Most staff were polite and helpful, and another member of staff later explained the situation professionally regarding customer drinks no longer being available.
However, I was disappointed by the manner in which I was initially spoken to by a staff member called Gemma when I politely asked for a small drink of water. The response felt abrupt and lacking empathy, especially as I explained I have a disability and can become anxious and overwhelmed.
This review is not about the policy itself, but simply about the importance of kindness and sensitivity when dealing with customers

Had a great experience with a contact lens check which was pleasant and thorough at Boots Opticians Bury St Edmunds Brentgovel Street. But is was Sam and Jay who went the extra mile to help me sort out an IT issue with my direct debit meaning I'd run out of contact lenses. Sam made contact with HQ and then found some trial lenses for me to help get by. She said to pop back and she'll try to find another box, taking herself over to another store in town to fully check stocks. Sam was professional, courteous and really helped me out, really impressed with the staff and service at Boots Opticians Brentgovel Street and thoroughly recommend them. Following up, Jay called the week after to see if I'd had a call from HQ and if everything was working out ok and I was very grateful and impressed with this level of service. Thank you Sam and Jay.
