actually useful and legit site 👍
it actually is good if you ignore the bs (not much)
pros:
- i can download a vid really easy;
- not 5k add pop-ups (like other y2mate sites);
- i didn’t see p*rn ads (mainly because i close the add instantly).
cons:
- pop-ups that fool people (boomers, ipad kids);
- the legality is kinda questionable (i think any lawyer would advise me to not mention using it);
- it still is a copy of possibly hundreds of other y2mate websites, even if it is a better one.
one other trustpilot reviewer said that the platform asked him to pay money, and i understood from his review that he did it. well, he got SCAMMED;
Y2Mate is free (as of 27/12/2025, yes i’m an european, and not a native english speaker, so sorry for any speech errors), and if you paid for something, it probably was a pop-up. welp, sorry bro! (they gotta make money off something i guess) get your money back!

the process is the following:
1. grab the url from a yt video
2. go onto the site
3. put the link and select if u want mp3 or mp4
4. click convert
5. close the (scam/gambling) pop-up
6. click “get the vid” (i’m on ios)
