Called today asking about using the Western Electric 300B B Stock tubes with my Elekit TU-8900. Best help I have gotten on the subject. Hi IB’s are over 90 ma, lo IB’s are under 40. She told me that while the Hi IB’s might sound best for a time they would put strain on the resistor and the output transformer possible leading not only to resistor burn-out but possible permanent damage to the OPT’s caused by core saturation from running at high levels over time. She recommended the Lo IB tubes for the TU-8900, They might lack in power and base and mid-range saturation in comparison to the Hi IB tubes but the differences are small and the tube overall is very good. Operating power would be similar to running the 2A3 in the same amp. The Lo IB’s would put no strain what so ever on the amp with no risk of damage. Five stars for Michele at Tube Depot!

This company does not test their tubes. They charge extra for things like “matching” and “low microphonics”, but even with choosing these options, I received poor quality microphonic tubes that were noisy and useless. Customer service is non-existent. AVOID.

Ordered a single tube on a Thursday and it did not ship till Tuesday. What has happened to these guys? Used to be good but will be last time I place an order.

Misleading advertising their website buy illinois capacitor GREY. Recieved blue caps &faulty .. I see its not very good on here I'd wish I saw this before buying I live England uk refused to refund returns postage on their mistake

They asked me to remove my bad review despite delivering the worst service I have had from a business in 55 years.

Sent me a dud tube (didn't check it) & 2-3 months later I still don't have the replacement.
Avoid, go elsewhere.

Great prices and selection, tubes arrived in excellent condition. Would definitely recommend doing business with them
