Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the service, citing issues with unexpected price increases and a lack of transparency regarding the company's role as a broker rather than a direct moving service. Customers frequently reported significant delays in delivery, with some waiting weeks or even months beyond the promised dates. Furthermore, numerous consumers experienced damage to their belongings, including broken items and missing boxes, and found the overall process to be unprofessional and disorganized. However, some people were satisfied with the staff, praising certain crews for their professionalism, efficiency, and careful handling of items. These positive experiences highlighted movers who were polite, worked quickly, and even went above and beyond by helping with furniture arrangement or making minor repairs.

FRAUD

FRAUD! DO NOT USE!!!

If you are reading this, please take this as your sign to NOT use them as your moving company. Do not believe the sales tactics – no matter how nice they are and how convincing. They’re all liars, scam artists, and cheats. Do not believe any of the reviews – if you look closely you can tell they’re all paid bots. Specifically, Nick Davis, Alex, Ian, Evan, Chelsea, Tim, Celine, Vitalli, Val, Tima, and Jay Long were complete scam artists – if those are even these people’s real names. However, the owner vitalii senovskyi is absolutely a fraud, scammer.

Summary: I was quoted $2,600 and ended up paying $5,700 total for my move. I was promised I would receive my things within 4 days – it took 10 days, only after I made complaints with the department of transportation and filed a police report. I am an attorney and was thankfully knew which avenues to use–I feel horrible for the average person dealing with this moving company.

Long story:

I was quoted $2,600 from Applause Moving and Storage for my move. I was promised they weren’t brokers and they would handle the move directly – a lie. I was promised IN WRITING my belongings would be delivered in 4 days and that the truck would not be shared with any one. Yet another lie.

Once I had the quality check, my price went up $1,200 (after you give a non-refundable deposit) – I knew I was going to end up paying more because that’s how moving companies are, but this doesn’t even scratch the service on how horrible things got. On the day of my move, two guys show up and are (1) extremely disrespectful, (2) slow, and (3) dangerous/threatening. After they moved everything in the uhaul, suddenly the quote became $3,000 more–so $5,700 TOTAL. Then, after raking me over the coals financially, they demanded I tip them. I gave them the cash I had on me just to get them to leave me alone, but that was not enough. They then cornered my mother demanding more tips and then called me on my personal phone demanding tips. I feared not only for my belongings, but my personal safety.
And of course, once they had my belongings, the written four-day delivery promise disappeared. Suddenly I was told it would be 10 business days. I called and emailed repeatedly and got nothing but excuses, lies, and the runaround. Alex at Loadrans kept claiming they had 21 business days to deliver my belongings. Do not believe that. That was not what I agreed to, and it was not what Applause promised me in writing.
I ended up filing complaints with the DOT, contacting everyone involved, and filing a police report. The only reason I had any idea where my belongings were was because I had hidden an AirTag in my stuff. Otherwise, I genuinely believe I would have been completely in the dark.
I finally got my belongings about 10 days later, but only after raising absolute hell. This company took a simple move and turned it into a nightmare of bait-and-switch pricing, broken promises, intimidation, and complete dishonesty.
I would not recommend Applause Moving and Storage, Loadrans, or any related company to anyone. Not to my worst enemy. Get everything in writing, record everything, put trackers in your belongings, and be prepared to fight for your own property. Better yet, avoid them entirely.

Top Tier Moving Group Are Scammers

Where do I even start? Avoid this company at all costs. There’s a reason they have so many complaints.

The issues began before the move even started. Nick’s estimate was wildly inaccurate—or the company hires contractors who deliberately lowball and then upcharge. When the movers (Loadrans) arrived, they suddenly increased the price by $1,200, claiming the space had been underestimated. That’s not a small discrepancy—that’s a major bait-and-switch.

Delivery was just as bad. My furniture took 12 days to arrive and showed up at 8 PM instead of the promised 8 AM. Only two movers came—one appeared to be under the influence, and the other worked at an extremely slow pace. From there, everything unraveled.

They couldn’t locate parts they actually had, assembled multiple pieces incorrectly, and repeatedly needed me to show them photos of my own furniture just to get it right. My dining table was put together wrong and was missing a leg until I intervened multiple times. They mixed up parts between different items, left pieces of my king bed unassembled because they “couldn’t figure it out,” and denied where parts belonged—even when I told them exactly where they went. If I hadn’t found screws and wooden pieces left under my bed, I wouldn’t have even known things were incomplete.

I ended up directing the assembly myself—and in some cases, practically doing it with them—because they claimed they couldn’t figure out even the simplest items, including a basic platform bed frame.

To top it all off, after hours of chaos, they left trash and debris all over my driveway. Instead of cleaning up, they asked if I wanted to keep their packing blankets (because they planned to throw them away), and apparently decided that meant it was fine to leave a mess in front of my garage.

This was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Unprofessional, disorganized, and careless. Zero out of five stars. Do not recommend.

should have negative stars for this…

should have negative stars for this company!! I was quoted 1500 for the move due to amount of boxes, supervisor who quoted my priced advised me to get rid of items to decrease the cost. so I I donated and sold most of my belongings to cut the moving cost. Never got a call back with final box count. I was told after removing 10 boxes from my original count by the actual movers the price increased instead of decreased. I never got a call back inquiring abouth the difference, I called over a dozen times, nope no-one returns your calls. Delivery 2 days later I have damaged & missing items. surprise surprise, nothing was done about this, they also severely scratched the floors. DO NOT use this company!!! They are total theives!! Being alone with no family, I'm a senior citizen, I didn't know what to do so I ended up using this horrific company. Please, don't use them, you will regret it!!

Wish I could give this place a negative…

Wish I could give this place a negative number!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! First estimated price was way low to get you locked in (you pay a deposit). Second when they pick up (by the way it was not them it was Perfectly Fast Movers) they tell you that you have too much stuff (when you decided not to take large items) and need you to sign a new bill of laden for a much higher price . Third when you try to call someone to find out why no one anwsers or they tell you to call a different number which no one answers. Fourth on delivery date they don’t show up when they call you a few days before saying they are on their way. When you try calling back to find out where they are they don’t answer. Fifth when you call customer service for the company they tell it’s your fault and you should have called them. When no one ever said to do that. Lastly when you ask why the price was so much higher they say it’s your fault because you signed a new bill of laden. Which you had to because the movers would not take your stuff unless you did and they don’t answer on the day of the move. Once again NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Unprofessional & sketchy

I asked for a quote from Budget & a lady called me, giving me a quote of $1200 for my cross country move - too good to be true. She connected me to their "moving specialist", Joe from Top Tier, & the price jumped dramatically. Mine is a small move - less than 50 boxes & no furniture. He based his estimate on 75 boxes & asked about potential furniture to try to meet their minimum space requirement for the shared truck. It would have been more honest to say my move was too small since they'd be charging me the minimum regardless. First it was over $4000, then through bargaining with his superior he offered $3000. I tentatively agreed, telling him it's contingent on some financial help I'm getting & I wanted to make sure I could cancel. He said 3 days to cancel. I agreed, signed their forms, & gave him my debit card for a $500 deposit. Then he told me if I cancel to text him personally & only if I can't get through to him to call a customer service# he provided. Sudden sketchy vibes...

This all happened pretty fast so I didn't get a chance to check their website or anything considering I was expecting to deal with Budget. When I got off the phone I checked reviews & they were all so bad. My family member also didn't offer that kind of money to help when I talked to them. I messaged Joe right away. In the meantime I got a text from my bank saying the payment was declined because the security number was entered wrong. Lucky, I guess, because I had given him the correct info. Joe called back & I told him about the card & that I needed to cancel the moving contract anyway. He confirmed verbally & we hung up.

I later emailed him asking for written confirmation of the cancellation & he replied, "you gave me the wrong credit card number. There is nothing to cancel!" I was talking about the contract, but ok. Weirdly hostile & unprofessional to say the least. I do feel lucky that he input the security code wrong, because I have no doubt they would be a problem. I'm giving one star for the sketchiness & his unprofessional response to my reasonable request for confirmation of my cancellation.

They workers were very fast and very flexible. They helped me when I told them I couldn't pay more then what was discussed. They did a great job and their attitude was awesome. Good group. Yes, they are the most expensive around, but they were first to contact me after I had asked multiple companies and they explained everything face to face. I hope to receive everything they put on their truck of mine. Thanks for the hard work guys.

Broker, not mover takes no responsibility

I, first was unaware this is a BROKER, not a mover until well into move. Spoke to Nick, who sounded great, and promised a great price and move. Scheduled Jan 12, 2026. Upon arrival Jeff did evaluation and stated it would now be 2200$ more due to adding patio set and three boxes. We agreed on an additional price, bait and switch. Then my furniture was not delivered when agreed upon in TX on Jan 25, 2026. A matter of fact, it was not delivered until Feb 28, 2026! Now, they say its the drivers or movers fault. Now they dont take responsibility because they are only a BROKER! All calls were to them only just a "let me see" no action and definitely no discounts from THEM!!!!! WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Bait and Switch SCAM

February 2, 2026

I’m sharing this to warn others considering Top Tier Moving Group (Top Tier Moving LLC - out of FL).

I initially booked my move based on a binding estimate of $4,798, covering 21 items and 139 pieces, and paid a nonrefundable $2,202 deposit to secure that price. For clarity, in their terminology a “piece” is a box, bin, tote, or similar container of varying sizes, while an “item” is anything that does not fit into a box or bin, such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, lawn equipment, or other large or odd-shaped items. I accurately disclosed my inventory and relied on the assurance that this was a binding estimate.

I want to be clear and fair about one point up front. After the Quality Assurance call, the number of items and pieces increased significantly. I understand that if the amount of inventory increases, a price increase can be reasonable. I do not dispute that in principle.

What I do dispute is how this was handled.

After the QA call, the quoted price suddenly jumped to over $17,000. Over several days of back and forth, I was forced to remove items from the shipment just to keep the cost remotely manageable. I even excluded a large sectional sofa and had to purchase a replacement at my destination because I was told it would not fit within the revised pricing.

Eventually, after cutting items and negotiating, we agreed on a revised binding estimate of $7,341.41, covering 81 items and 181 pieces. That means 81 non-boxed household items and 181 boxes, bins, and totes. I paid an additional $1,000 deposit and $2,170.20 at pickup, with another $2,170.20 due at delivery.

Here is what actually happened on moving day.

The carrier coordinated by Top Tier Moving Group loaded only 47 of the 81 contracted items and only 60 of the 181 contracted pieces. This was not due to laziness, refusal, or inefficiency by the movers. They loaded everything they reasonably could based on the space that had been reserved for the move. Even after fully utilizing that space, a large portion of the contracted inventory was left behind.

This is where the real problem lies. Top Tier Moving Group accepted, reviewed, and finalized an inventory list, then grossly miscalculated the amount of space required to move it. That is not the customer’s job. My responsibility was to accurately represent what needed to be moved, which I did. Translating that inventory into adequate space and coordinating a carrier capable of moving it is literally the broker’s entire business model.

The only option presented on site was to pay substantially more to load some additional items if space allowed. That option would still not have completed the move and required abandoning the binding estimate I had already agreed to. I declined. As a result, a substantial portion of my belongings was left behind through no fault of the movers.

I was also required to disassemble my own bed frame and refrigerator, despite the contract stating that basic disassembly and reassembly were included.

Taken together, this experience feels less like an honest adjustment and more like a low initial estimate used to secure a large nonrefundable deposit, followed by escalating prices and reduced performance once I was financially locked in. Whether intentional or not, the effect on the customer is the same. A classic bait-and-switch.

Bottom line. I paid for a binding estimate, complied with every requirement on my end, and still did not receive the services I contracted for unless I agreed to pay substantially more. More than half of my contracted shipment, both items and pieces, was not transported because the broker failed to plan adequately for the inventory they accepted. If you expect price certainty, competent planning, and your belongings to actually be moved as agreed, do not use this company.

Stay tuned as the saga continues to delivery...

Reply from Top Tier Moving Group

We respectfully disagree with the claims outlined in this complaint and would like to clarify the facts based on our records and documented communications.

Top Tier Moving Group LLC acted solely as the customer’s licensed moving coordinator and did not physically perform, pick up, transport, or deliver the customer’s household goods. The physical handling of the move was conducted by the federally licensed motor carrier assigned to the shipment. All company contact information, websites, and FMCSA credentials for Top Tier Moving Group LLC remain active and verifiable.

Our records show consistent and documented communication with the customer and active advocacy on their behalf. Between August 25, 2025, and September 5, 2025, our customer service team repeatedly contacted the assigned carrier to obtain delivery updates and relay timelines to the customer. The customer was previously advised that delivery was anticipated within 7–14 days based on carrier representations, and we committed to providing updates as they became available.

When the carrier became non-responsive, our company escalated the matter by filing formal complaints with the FMCSA and DOT on the customer’s behalf, including a follow-up complaint filed on October 20, 2025. We are currently awaiting responses from the regulatory agencies and the carrier.

The allegation that our company “picked up” the customer’s goods or refused communication is inaccurate. Our last direct communication with the customer occurred on September 5, 2025, and we have remained available since that time. At no point did we refuse to assist or misrepresent our role in the transaction.

We respectfully ask that the customer consider removing or amending their complaint to accurately reflect that Top Tier Moving Group LLC served as the coordinator, not the motor carrier, and that we have taken documented steps to assist, escalate, and advocate on their behalf.

We encourage the customer to contact our office directly or email info@toptiermovinggroup.com
so we may address any remaining questions or concerns. We remain willing to assist and continue pursuing resolution through the appropriate regulatory channels.

Avoid at all costs

Top Tier Moving (broker) and MoveKing LLC turned what should have been a straightforward cross-country move into a two-week nightmare defined by bait-and-switch pricing, missed delivery commitments, and complete communication failure.
My belongings were picked up in Pennsylvania on December 26. From the outset, I clearly communicated that my move-in date in Walnut Creek, CA was January 13, and I was repeatedly assured this timeline was not an issue and that I was working with “the most professional movers.”
The initial quote was $3,100. That increased to $4,100, and ultimately ballooned to nearly $7,000 after pickup. This escalation was not tied to any meaningful change in scope and followed a classic bait-and-switch pattern.
Compounding this issue was their payment policy. Once pricing increased, I was informed that payment would only be accepted via cashier’s check, money order, or cash—no credit cards or any form of payment that would allow a consumer dispute. This left me with no financial protection while my household goods were already in their possession.
The most unacceptable part of this experience was the complete lack of communication.
Beginning on January 11, with my confirmed delivery date approaching, I called, texted, and emailed both Top Tier Moving and MoveKing LLC to confirm delivery. I received no response at all. I was entirely ghosted during the exact window when my belongings were supposed to arrive.
After more than a week of silence, I finally heard back on January 22, when I was told—without explanation—that my belongings would now be delivered on Sunday, January 25, nearly two weeks after my agreed move-in date.
By that point, I had incurred additional living expenses and unnecessary stress simply because these companies failed to communicate or honor their commitments.
This was not an isolated mistake. The pattern was consistent:
* Inflated pricing after pickup
* Payment restricted to non-disputable methods
* Missed delivery commitments
* Total radio silence when accountability mattered
* Last-minute, take-it-or-leave-it updates
Once they have your belongings, you lose all leverage—and their business practices appear designed around that fact.
I strongly recommend avoiding both Top Tier Moving and MoveKing LLC unless you are prepared for unpredictable pricing, delayed delivery, and no recourse when things go wrong.

Reply from Top Tier Moving Group

We understand how stressful a long-distance move can be and we regret that the customer experienced frustration during this process. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the facts and address the concerns raised in this complaint.

First, regarding pricing, the initial estimate provided was based on the inventory list supplied by the customer at the time of booking. At pickup, the carrier documented an additional 284 cubic feet beyond the original quoted volume. As disclosed in our written agreement and federal moving regulations, any increase in volume or inventory results in a corresponding adjustment to cost. The final charges were directly tied to the verified increase in shipment size and were reviewed with the customer onsite. Their signed Bill of Lading and revised inventory reflecting these additions are on file.

With respect to payment methods, the carrier’s accepted forms of payment were also disclosed in advance during our verification calls and are consistent with industry standards for interstate household goods transportation.

Regarding the delivery timeline, the customer’s file reflects a First Available Delivery Date of January 13, 2026. As previously explained to the customer, the FADD is not always a guaranteed delivery date, but rather the first date the customer is available to receive their shipment. At no point was the shipment outside of the carriers federally permitted delivery window.

We acknowledged the customer’s concerns about communication when they initially contacted our office, particularly with the carrier, Move King LLC. Our records confirm that when the customer expressed difficulty reaching the carrier, our team immediately intervened, contacted carrier management, relayed real time updates to the customer in writing, and instructed the carrier to maintain an open line of communication. Mechanical issues with the truck were also communicated once reported to us by the carrier.

It is important to clarify that no concerns or disputes were raised with Top Tier Moving Group at the time of pickup regarding pricing, inventory, or onsite conditions. Had we been contacted during pickup, we would have worked promptly on the customer’s behalf to address any discrepancies, as we routinely do.

While we regret to hear that the customer remains unhappy with our services, the characterization of this move as a “bait-and-switch” or a breach of contract is not supported by the documented facts, signed paperwork, or applicable federal regulations. Top Tier Moving Group has continued to act in good faith, remained communicative, and fulfilled our role as a licensed moving coordinator throughout the process.

We remain willing to answer any additional questions or offer further clarification as needed.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the circumstances surrounding your move.

Per our records, our last form of communication with you occurred the day before your scheduled pickup date to confirm the movers’ arrival. We were not made aware of any on-site concerns or issues during or after the move. Had we been notified at that time, we would have intervened on your behalf and worked to provide solutions immediately.

We would also like to clarify how estimates are handled, as outlined in the agreement reviewed at the time of booking and in accordance with federal regulations. The initial estimate is based solely on the inventory and services provided by the customer at the time of reservation. By law, the foreman is then required to complete a physical walkthrough upon arrival to verify the actual inventory and requested services. If there are differences from the original information provided, a revised estimate is prepared and reviewed with the customer prior to loading to ensure full transparency and understanding. Customers are never required or obligated to proceed if they do not agree with the revised estimate.

At no point are our crews permitted to “upsell” under pressure either; all adjustments are a direct result of inventory or service changes that differ from the original agreement and are reviewed before any work begins.

We remain committed to transparency and compliance with all federal moving regulations, and we are always available to address questions or concerns should you still have them. We encourage you to contact our office directly so we can review your move in detail and provide any additional clarification if needed.

We’re sorry to hear you are unhappy with our services and understand how upsetting unexpected changes can feel during an already stressful moving process. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify what occurred and to address your concerns respectfully.

As reviewed with you at the time of booking, the original binding estimate was based solely on the inventory and services you provided at that time—specifically 18 items and 19 pieces. Per our agreement, Top Tier Moving Group’s estimates are determined by the customer-provided inventory and the agreed-upon rate per pound and/or cubic feet. Any additions to the inventory or requests for additional services result in a corresponding adjustment to the total cost.

Our records show that the recent call placed to you was our standard Quality Assurance review, which is conducted prior to move day to review and finalize the inventory. During that call, you and your spouse added a significant number of items, bringing the total to 61 items and 98 pieces. This increase is what led to the revised pricing, not an arbitrary or hidden fee.

At that time, we did offer the option to revert back to the original inventory and proceed with the move as initially quoted; however, your spouse declined that option. We also presented several alternatives, including applying your initial deposit as a credit toward a future move so that it would not be lost, should you choose to proceed with our services at a later date and that was also refused.

We regret that this situation did not resolve in the way you had hoped, but we have acted in accordance with the terms reviewed and agreed upon at booking. We remain willing to assist with any further questions or concerns and encourage you to contact our office directly so we can work towards an amicable resolution.
