I am not normally one for leaving reviews.. But Homemakers deserves a true 5 star review.

David helped us through every step of the design process, very professional and knowledgeable. We have had a kitchen, a downstairs bathroom and a full bathroom done with them. Nothing was too much trouble for David. Communication was very clear and thorough from start to completion.

Ben the fitter takes massive pride in his work and wont settle for anything less than perfection. Very professional and helpful.

I highly recommend Homemakers to anyone wanting to make the most of their kitchen or bathroom. David and the team are the ones to do it.

I’ve been installing bathrooms in the area for 15 years, I’ve been installing products supplied by Homemakers for most of that time. I’ve never had any issues with the quality of goods and have always been satisfied the price is fair. The few times when issues have occurred they have been resolved quickly and stress free.

Staff are friendly and helpful.

Homemakers were brilliant from start to finish. Great product. skilled, knowledgeable and tidy fitters. In all a fantastic service and a decent price. My only complaint is I’m nearly late for work I spend so much time in it. 🤣

We had an incredibly positive experience when purchasing our dream kitchen from Homemakers.

David used all of his experience and knowledge to give us a super usable and conveniently designed kitchen with impeccable materials and parts. Cannot comment on the fitting as it was supplied only.

We had quotes from all the big national companies but nothing came close to what we were provided from Homemakers, they hit the nail on the head and we couldn't be happier.

Even though we paid slightly more than other quotes we still got a great deal.
It feels great knowing you've got someone/somewhere to go to if anything unexpected happens.

There's so many things that are great about Homemakers, from the staff, to the great choice available for all your home DIY needs.

We're now saving up so we can go see David again and get him to design our dream bathroom too 😁

​I am genuinely astonished that Homemakers 1st Stop remains in business. My recent visit was a masterclass in terrible customer service and a total lack of basic product knowledge.
​I needed a very basic, common pipe, and even brought the original part with me to show the staff. Every single member of staff, including the manager—who looked like he had just left school—told me they had "never seen one of them in my life." This is despite the fact that other local retailers stocked the exact item and knew immediately what I was talking about. Their knowledge was absolutely abysmal.
​The staff were utterly unhelpful. As soon as one of them had dismissed my query, they went straight back to browsing their mobile phones. This level of unprofessionalism in a retail environment is unacceptable.
​To make matters worse, the shop is severely dated. It looks exactly the same as it did twenty years ago, suggesting zero investment or modernization.
​Due to this completely negative and frustrating experience, I will not be returning to Homemakers 1st Stop and will be sure to share my experience with friends and family in person, in addition to leaving this review. Avoid this store if you value professionalism and competent staff.

Dave helped us through every step of the design process, very professional and knowledgeable. Assisted us in finding units and let us know where he wasn't able to be as competitive and helped us make sure that the outside units we bought would be able to fit. Probably about as stress free as it gets when doing a big job like this. Communication was mostly through Whatsapp which made things easy and Dave is far more reachable than I would be if I was having a day off.

Ben the fitter was a true craftsman and clearly took a lot of pride in his work and is one of those people who just do things properly even if its not the easy way.

I Highly recommend Homemakers to anyone wanting to make the most of their kitchen as Dave and the team are the ones to do it.

Just had a total bathroom refit…everything replaced and shower taken out and replaced with small bath with shower attachment as it’s more suitable for my disability.. Big thank you to David who helped me with the redesign and picking everything out and getting all the tradespeople together so taking all the stress from me …everything went so smoothly.. so happy with the finished result….

Excellent service from initial store visit to fitting. David is thoroughly professional with all the measuring and planning. Keeps in touch all the way through the process. We had both our bathroom and kitchen done over a period of six weeks. Both jobs were done by Gareth. Can't praise him highly enough. Friendly, reliable, loved our dog and most importantly a brilliant tradesman. Would thoroughly recommend Homemakers 1st Stop.

From the first email sent to the last tidy up, I have been very impressed with everything. David is knowledgeable, helpful, professional and reliable. The guys who came to fit the new counter, plumb the sink and install the gas hob were polite, efficient and went above and beyond - the kitchen was spotless on their departure! Really happy with the outcome and will definitely be back to Homemakers when it’s time to sort out the bedroom!

A local company showing ultimate professionalism and care in the design and implementation of my bathroom refit. David, Adam and the electrician (sorry, I never got your name) went beyond their remit in suggesting improvements which took the result beyond my expectations. Many thanks.

David and his team were excellent from start to finish. Our designs were made up and amendments were happily accommodated. The installation was exceptional; Ben was polite, focussed and his attention to detail was fantastic. The upshot is that we now have a beautiful bathroom which exceeds our original expectations. Thanks to all the team at Homemakers.

Cannot thank 1st stop homemakers enough. It was a pleasure from the designing to the fitting. The fitters were amazing and I am fussy but to find he was a meticulous as me was a relief. The result, I am in awe I am amazed. It feels like I'm in a hotel whilst I am in there. Really happy. Thankyou so much to 1st stop homemakers and Dan and Matt Lakeland. X

The process was quick and easy and David was brilliant to deal with throughout. He measured up and designed the layout and organised it to be delivered when I requested. There were a couple of minor snags (which you always get), but the impressive part is how quickly David resolved these. The kitchen itself looks fantastic and I would highly recommend homemakers.

Just had our kitchen planned and installed by Homemakers and we could not be more pleased. It looks beautiful. The fitter arrived on the date stated and was brilliant as was the plumber and electrician. All rubbish was cleared every day we had not complaints at all.

Had an excellent service provided by David @ Homemakers. Great workmanship from Ben fitting our shower, very clean, efficient and hardworking. Definitely recommend David@Homemakers!

Our new bathroom fitting went really smoothly. It was very well coordinated throughout and the fitter, Arthur, did an excellent job. He was a very tidy worker and the end result was better than we expected. David did a good job with the design and coordinating the project. We would definitely recommend Homemakers.

David helped and guided us through planning for 2 en-suites, our main bathroom and downstairs loo both before the build and throughout the whole process. Dan and Max and the team made an excellent job of building and fitting all aspects of the project and the attention to detail is second to none; to the extent of using a variety of different colours of silicon to match every join. The electrician and carpet fitter were also brilliant. No hesitation in recommending home makers.

To David, just to say that I am very pleased with the items you supplied and arranging for Dan & assistant Max to install. It looks terrific, job well done.

Thank you David for helping me to give my kitchen the face lift it needed. Dan Lakeland and Max were so conscientious and friendly, the workmanship was excellent.
I would recommend you to anyone needing new kitchen or bathroom and will definitely use your services again.
