Prompt delivery of item, colour matching sheet was a must buy, product application was ok, but do it carefully and it sticks on really well. Once on - dries hard quite soon, and later rock solid. Clea... See more

Really quick delivery and brilliant…
Really quick delivery and brilliant result!
Great product, fully recommend
Had a number of bricks which had blown faces to various degrees. Had filled some of the smaller areas but couldn't find a paint that was close to matching our brick colour. Searched and found Stonelux, first ordered a colour chart, then filler and paint that seemed a close match. The product is expensive but goes a long way and most importantly does the job. Our bricks are a buff colour, the Stonelux product was a close match, but stood out a bit as looked new and clean, I found that rubbing some builders sand, when the paint/filler was still wet, gave an even better match. Looks great and I would fully recommend.
I used Stonelux Apsley in antique stone…
I used Stonelux Apsley in antique stone finish to cover big lime mortar repairs in an old stone wall. It toned in well and is a great success.
Absolutely fantastic.
Totally transformed our fire surround. Followed the instructions carefully used primer and then three coats of the paint. I can't believe how amazing the finish is. It's saved us the expense of having to replace the whole surround and it looks fabulous. Very impressed and very happy. Used primer and undercoat in Portland and Simply Stone fireplace paint.
Excellent
We had damaged brickwork renovated on the house over 12 years ago the render material used to obtain the finish was Lithomex. Over the last couple of years several cosmetic cracks had appeared on the stone facings above the front door and on the stone window mullions surrounds all of which required repair. We tried a couple of test pots from Stonelux and found an almost exact match and a finish that we were happy with. After cutting out the damaged areas, filling them with an appropriate external stone filler in and priming the areas we used Stonelux paint. The finish is incredible and genuinely back to the original rendered finish that mirrors the Lithomex finish. Delighted with the product and highly recommended.
Amazing
Amazing, this paint and primer has completely transformed our old mahogany and marble fireplace, very happy with the results 😀

Fantastic products…
I purchased the Blackpearl smooth stone paint, grey primer, two natural brushes and the roller kit to refurbish the natural coloured marble on the back and hearth of my fireplace. I read lots of the reviews and went with two coats of primer and three coats of Blackpearl rollering the last coat. The results are amazing, the fireplace looks so much better, love it!

Title: Fantastic product!
I purchased the Portland primer, limestone smooth stone fireplace paint and also a couple of stonelux brushes.
We have a faux stone fireplace that is 20 years old and feel it has ‘yellowed’ over time (the fireplace is in a south facing room so likely natural sunlight causing this). I love the fireplace still but it certainly didn’t go well with my newly painted sage walls.
I saw this product and was hopeful it could give the fireplace a new lease of life and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
Prepped with 2 coats of Portland primer and overall 5 coats of fireplace paint, although 4 would have been sufficient. I used brushes to apply the paint apart from coat 4 when I used a foam roller. I’m not sure what happened but I ended up with patches of more intense stone, I then used a brush again to apply coat 5 and this immediately evened it out again ( I ensured I thoroughly stirred the paint each time before applying a coat). My advice would be to use a paintbrush on all coats as it gave a lovely even finish with very minimal brush lines.
I cannot recommend this product enough! Thank you stonelux.

The company did not honour the price…
The company did not honour the price listed on the website. When queried, company stated it was an IT Google mistake and not their own error. Even though I am a returning customer, they a) did not offer a discount and b) didn't even acknowledge the fact that my alerting them to this would help them adjust the error. Most disappointing customer service.

Hi we ordered this paint as we had…
Hi we ordered this paint as we had bought the wrong colour copings and we wanted a stone colour and effect as the ones we had ordered were a yellow colour they were awful so we gave stonelux a try and they have covered beautifully really pleased with it thank you it’s really helped us
This is an amazing product.
This is an amazing product.
Bit expensive? Yes, but it is exactly what I was looking for my fireplace which was a total disgrace. I have years and years of experience painting and all the comments about peeling it’s just someone who probably did not do it right. It feels exactly like what I wanted.
A top tip….
A top tip when dealing with Stonelux if you can spare the time is to put the product in your basket then leave it and wait. After a few days they’ll offer you 10% discount if you put the purchase through within 48hrs. If you buy without doing this they defo won’t give you the 10%.
Don't waste your time and money
Keyed down a composite fireplace ready for painting, applied 3 coats of Stonelux Primer (1 day to dry between each) with Stonelux natural bristled brush, 4 coats of Stonelux Fireplace paint (1 day to dry between each) with Stonelux natural bristled brush.
It simply peels off in sheets, with no adhesion at all. There is no one at Stonelux office 2pm Friday to show any interest in the total failure of the product. Don't waste your time and money, in my case a week & £50.
Additionally, the 2 HETAS installers I've spoken to won't install a stove anywhere near this product.

Fabulous company
Fabulous company. I used the fireplace paint to update a 1970s Yorkshire stone fireplace. The coverage was great with a fantastic outcome. We took the advice of the information page and used the primer, after 2 coats we used the Limestone. The colour chart was very helpful as was as the sample pot. the postage was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend this company and if you follow the advice given i.e. use primer, wait for the recommended drying times before adding another coat and use sample pots before buying, you cant go wrong. I am delighted with the end result
The Brick filler is an excellent product.
I've bought three tubs of the brick filler (of various colours) to repair holes in the brickwork of the house I recently bought. The filler sets very hard, and closely matches the colour and texture of the brick - from a distance, the repairs are invisible. I'd say that it is perhaps a little too sandy, though - it makes it a little "crumbly" during application.
I'd also like to suggest that Stonelux makes a filler for mortar, and matches it to common mortar colours!
Brick Paint
I bought a colour chart and chose the best match, but "Medium Red" was more pinkish than any red colour.
Then bought a "Dark Red" which turned out to be more orange.
I'd now recommend to remove the colour sample from the white background of the colour card, which confused the colour matching, but never the less both pots could never be secribed as red !
I ended up binning both pots and bought a £3 pot of non-textured paint from Wickes, alot cheaper and better.

Ordered the fireplace paint and Primer
Ordered the fireplace paint and Primer, qualified for the free brush too, ordered went missing with the carrier, UPS, it was apparently delivered, despite me owning cctv and a ring doorbell and nothing was delivered to my address. contacted stonelux directly via their website contact form as it was the weekend, asked them to ring or email on the Monday to discuss my missing parcel, still waiting, put a claim in via UPS and the parcel finally appeared several days later.
Once I had remixed the paint with some paint dye to get it to the colour it should have been (colours on website differ to real life) I've applied it and it seems OK.
Certainly won't order directly from stonelux again.
Order placed 10/11/22, finally arrived 21/11/22

Not so special offer
I supposedly qualified for a free paint brush offer, having spent over £50 and it didn't arrive with my order. It's only a small gripe as I did get the rest of my order on time at a reasonable delivery charge.
But an offer is an offer, so I called the firm and they were really unhelpful. I heard every excuse possible - the brush was out of stock, they're a small family run firm and have only been running the offer for three weeks, they don't have the tech for out of stock to pop up as a notification and they can't be expected to personally notify everyone if this is the case.
I was made to feel bad for expecting to get what they promised me - I hadn't begged for a free brush!
I told them it creates a bad impression to a first-time customer like me if they run an offer but can't honour it, but sadly I don't think they care. There's another small firm I use for paints, Shabby Nook, who manage to do customer service really well. They even send personalised emails and blogs - but unfortunately it was an exclusive Stonelux product I wanted this time and I couldn't get it anywhere else.
If you're reading this review Stonelux, take a look at Shabby Nook and see how these things should be done. It might just save your business - exclusive products aren't enough to survive if your service is rubbish.

BEWARE when applying STONELUX FIRE…
BEWARE when applying STONELUX FIRE RESISTANT fireplace paints. Colour chart not true to life, even after applying recommended 3 coats!! Following delivery of more sample pots (+£’ssss) eventually decided upon a Buff but didn’t need 1L, advised by this so called family run business to buy the Garden Paint which comes in 500ml…. sadly colour still had no depth. Rang customer services again for further advice re colours and decided upon Ashridge, so ordered another 500ml pot and was then advised the Garden Paint was NOT fire resistant…. OMG I was told the Garden Paint was fire resistant but they (Stonelux) Insist I was not, calling me a liar !! I then asked whether telephone calls were recorded….obviously not… Am now faced with safety issues that need to be addressed… STAY WELL CLEAR OF STONELUX MOST UNHELPFUL !!!!
