I have 2 sons at school, this is my 4th year in a row of smile yellow taking their school photos. I have purchased them every time because I really want to have their school photos, not because the photos are actually any good. They are actually very poor. We have had previous photos where one of my sons eyes are only partially open, they usually aren’t smiling (they actually look quite tense and uncomfortable like they are being rushed) and worst of all the photos are usually not even in focus. This year they are the most blurry we’ve had and it’s difficult to tell how out of focus they are from the tiny thumbnail you are sent, but when the prints arrive it is very clearly not in focus. The prices are very expensive but I wouldn’t mind this so much if the photos were a decent quality. I also find it frustrating that there is no option for sibling photos as it would be lovely to have a photo of them together. I really wish their school would use a different photographer, there must be plenty out there that would do a better job, it’s just such a disappointing experience.

Ridiculous prices but also copy ordered 4 little pictures, they're not even cut out, they're printed on one piece of paper, and do it yourself... For the price you pay this is absolutely disgusting.

Very rude customer service. Charge £6.50 if you miss the cut off for a DIGITAL copy. Wasn't clear on the leaflet they gave out. Called to ask for them to be reasonable as £27.50 is already expensive for one image and the person on the phone was very abrupt. Computer says no. Then hung up on me. I have ordered to avoid an upset child but now realising it may take 28 days!! to get one digital picture. Having been at a diff school last year with a a much better system this is very dissapointing. Would recommend schools avoid and use someone else.

Just awful. Product selections are unclear. Very expensive for what it is. And customer service is non-existant. I woukd urge all schools not to deal with them.

Photos are of such bad quality - really quite shocked that this is supposed to be a professional photography company. They only take one picture, no options to chose from. There is clearly no care taken to ensure children's ties are straight and are photo ready. Worst of all, the photo is not even in focus properly and appears slightly blurry - surely the least we can expect is that a professional photographer can take a picture that is in focus?! In all honesty I did not even realise this until I ordered the photos and looked at them in printed format as the previews they provide online are very small versions. I chose to order them as it was my child's first school photos, had that not been the case, I may have reconsidered. I will be providing feedback to the school of the poor quality of photos and ask them to consider using a different company.

Another year of poor quality photographs of my children. It appears that very little effort has been put in by the photographer, which is frustrating given the importance of capturing these moments.

In both photographs, my child’s eyes are closed, which should have been noticed and corrected at the time. While I understand that the photographer likely has many children to photograph, it shouldn’t take more than a minute to review the images and retake them if necessary.

Poor experience. Pictures not cut and put in the frame, even though the advertised package shows everything coming pre-assembled. I don't have a guillotine and didn't expect to purchase DIY photography kit.

Just received the sample for my sons first school photo in Reception from st george’s primary in portsmouth. must say very disapointed. his hair is usualy side swept but on the photo it’s all ruffled and he is closing his lip like he needs to make a serious face haha! His always smiling for his photos and photogenic… so was quite dispointed. i”ll be taking him to a studio with his uniform to get one done professionally! what a shame. but it is what it is! not worth the purchase sadly! wish the school used someone else. will be writting to them too!

Very disappointed! my daughters picture was awful and her hair doesn’t represent the actual colour she is!!! she has lovely long hair which I asked for her hair to be over her shoulders at front, she was told she’s not allowed and it has to be tucked behind her ears and to go down the back, backgrounds are also horrible, prices are ridiculous, will not be buying!

Our daughter is in school in Portsmouth in reception class - pictures they are taking absolutely far away from a professional ones , they can’t be bothered even fix hair or correct clothing on kids! Do not waste your money my advice! Company completely ‘out of date’

Extremely disappointed. What poor quality images for a small fortune! A very limited range of pricing options and packages. The same applies to the background choices and quite frankly they’re hideous. Supply a white background image. Will see if the school will be interested in going elsewhere. The pictures really feel like the photographer just doesn’t care! Almost feel obliged to buy them.

These photos are terrible and over priced. The photographer clearly don’t care.

Poor quality, expensive. Can’t even see the the kids faces properly without a magnifying glass.

£28 Just to download one of my child's photos. Overpriced is an understatement.

Another year of photos, another year of delays. Reduce this score now to one star. Yet again, I’m attending chases for digital download instructions. And receive somewhat patronising response. 11 days after my purchase still no download link. Just an email from the office telling me it will expire in 60 days if I don’t download them. I do wonder if they actually pay attention to the content of customer emails opposed to hearing what they think is being asked not very impressed with this company at all.

Although the photography seems to be of a good standard. Each year delivery of digital images and password to download take longer and longer. With many other companies normally the idea of a digital download means you can receive your images faster, not the case with this company. I have been disappointed with how long it takes for a few years now. They are also very hard to contact on the phone.
