I booked a car during August. Fair price, great service. The staff is very friendly and kind. Brand new car. The total experience was great. Will come again.
Fast service, polite and helpfull personnel. Clean and good condition car. The car was in the category that we booked no hidden fees and extra charges.
Rented a car with SKG through a broker. When we arrived at the airport in Santorini, Greece, I had to ask one of the other car rental companies where SKG was located as I could find no signage for them. I was told they usually are outside the doors and the lady who works for them was described. I looked for at least 1 hour and could find no sign of the company. We tried calling the number on the voucher and only got the owners mom who speaks only Greek. We were also unable to get a hold of the broker...our calls kept getting ignored. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes after landing, I went to look outside again and there she was. She (SKG rental agent) claimed she was there for at least an hour, which was an outright lie. We finally got the car and that part went okay, but if she never showed or we never found her, we would have been out a car rental as we couldn't even contact the company. BTW not even a single apology. Terrible customer service.
SKG does not accept Swiss driving licenses – no car, no service, but they keep your money
We booked a car with SKG at Athens Airport through a reputable broker. Upon arrival, we were told that our Swiss driving license is not accepted and that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is mandatory. Despite holding a valid Swiss license, SKG refused to hand over the vehicle.
This came as a total surprise: In over 15 years of renting cars across Europe, I’ve never had any issues using my Swiss license. On the same day, other major rental companies like Sixt and Europcar accepted it without any problem. We weren’t alone – two other Swiss families were turned away as well.
SKG offered no solution whatsoever – no flexibility, no compromise, not even against extra payment. To us, this felt deliberate and predatory. They simply refused to provide the service and kept part of the money – for us, that’s nothing short of modern-day theft.
Bottom line: If you’re from Switzerland, stay far away from SKG. You risk being stranded without a car, with no help, and still losing money. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour.
Rented a car from SKG in Corfu. Car had 120,000km on the clock and the windows didn’t work. When returned they tried to charge me for some fine sratches down drivers side door. Once the dust was cleaned off car they went away and didn’t show up in the photos. They kept telling me it’s “50:50” because we have photos with and without scratches. Then kept me, and bunch of other people, waiting for an hour so I would be close to missing my flight before “offering me” €200 so I could get to the airport in time. The supervisor smirked through the whole thing. Avoid like the plague.
We recently rented a car from SKG for 8 days in Corfu . The whole booking experience was very straightforward. We were collected from Corfu airport by a really lovely young man ( from Athens ) he loaded our cases into the mini bus , he was very professional, friendly & welcoming . Likewise when we arrived at the office a few minutes drive from airport the young lady who dealt with us was very pleasant , polite & professional too . The car hire cost was comparable to others . Would definitely use this car company again & certainly recommend to others

It's not often I bother writing reviews these days, I used to, but to be honest, it got to the point where I was using review sites to find services to use, and unsurprisingly they were good. so laziness kicked in and I didn't bother.
This review is specifically about SKG Rent a Car based in Corfu. I couldn't tell you what the other sites are like only the one in/on Corfu.
I found them the usual way, I searched for cheap car rentals in this case "Corfu" via these scrapers plus Google's own results for local companies who work hard enough to get their sites up their search criteria, btw is also worth looking on page 2 and 3 of any search you do :

travelsupermarket
skyscanner
We booked via Discovery Cars, which is a good portal that we have found and used several times via the route above. Don't go straight to them as you need to top layer to get to the cheapest for your destination.
SKG Rent a Car "Corfu" was great. Pick-up at Corfu airport is always a bit fraught, planeloads of holidaymakers all squashing through two exit doors can be a bit confusing but just chill, it soon settles and the crowds soon clear.
We have rented cars over 25 times on Corfu and they're all either okay or good as far as pick-up goes. If you're waiting for language when you get through passport control I would ring them and let them know that you'll be out in 10 minutes or so. They'd tell you to call once you are out of the airport, you can either listen to me or them, your choice, I'm sharing what we do every time we go there which is usually 2 or 3 times a year.
Pick-up on this latest trip was as usual, we waited 10 minutes to be picked up by a lovely guy who helped load our bags into the back of the clean and comfortable minibus and took us the 5 minutes down the road to the SKG office. There was one other couple at the desk before us so we were shown to some seats where we were given a glass of chilled water whilst our bags we placed inside the office doors ready to be put into the hire car.
Small cars are best for Corfu, we've rented bigger ones when there when lots of us have traveled together but this is a mistake, the roads are narrow and parking is difficult almost everywhere, you just don't get big parking spaces anywhere. Small is best, plus you don't have to ferry people around like a bloody chauffeur. if they've got a license then let the kids drive themselves.. sorry too much information :)
Once cleared the SKG rep came to us, introduced herself and I walked up to the desk. completed all the necessary within 5 minutes and were shown around the car, a great clean little Ford was our car, a few tiny bumps and scrapes were pointed out, the norm of Corfu, tiny parking spaces, thousands of rented cars, and high curbs being the norm, and we were on our way.
The car performed brilliantly all of our 16-day stay, we returned it and the same lovely, professional welcome was afforded to us. Our bags were taken out of the car and put into the minibus, the driver Chris wouldn't allow us to help, he was great.
The representatives at SKG were outstanding. This trip was mid-October this year 23, so they'd been working all season and must have been tired and drained of the charm needed to do such a repetitive job well but they were on form and that is the main reason I'm bothering to write this.
Well done to the Staff as SKG. You all deserve a pay rise and a well-earned rest.
Renting from them is a good idea, or more to the point, if you follow my advice and find yourself renting from them you won't be disappointed.
