The worst ever service within web commerce. Raised compliant their system emailed me asking for providing response. I emailed back from the same thread now their email address in unrecognisable. It is a complete joke looks like scam. Not contact with Their support. STAY AWAY FROM SHOPIFY.

I really wish I could leave out a star in the box, for a disgusting outfit like this, using my personal details, when I have never used their site, this should be illegal, I was about to complete an order online when I got to the payment page I had a text to MY phone from Shopify, I have never used them before and have never opened an account with them, now I have one, so why are they using my information without my consent, a warning to others when you purchase an item, do not leave your details on a page for the next time, Shopify will use your data and open up an account for you

I placed an order on [05.10.2025], but the item was never delivered.
The store’s website is now offline and I can no longer access it.
I do not have the exact store URL because it no longer works.
The seller is not responding to emails, and I suspect this was a fraudulent shop.

Companies that use this payment method are usually unprofessional. But Shopify is guilty too, as they take your cash but refuse to refund and put the responsibility on the merchant. So the company ignores you. Take the loss and tell everyone: never use Shop or Shopify. They take no responsibility for purchases. You can't get a human on the phone or via chat, and the AI just repeats: "Contact the merchant." In this case, British Homes Direct.
No refund. I took a loss of £250. Don't pay with Shopify. Don't buy from British Homes Direct. Just find an alternative.

The best thing I’ve done is move my website to another provider. Shopify have lost £££s due to absolutely 0 merchant support. If you want to set up a successful business DO NOT use shopify they are beyond useless and do not care about their merchants. I’ve had lots of chargebacks due to scammers yet all evidence is submitted showing this and yet it still goes on the scammers favour so not only am I the innocent party charged £10 per transaction I loose the items and money paid. Shopify no where to be seen! Their charges are ridiculous too plus slow with payments compared with others! I’ve finally had enough and moved, wish I had done it sooner !
Shopify Hideous System
Absolutely hideous system that companies are signing up to. Purchasers are often not aware that they have been transferred to Shopify. They hold bank details without authorisation and trying to get to speak to anyone in customer services is absolutely impossible. I have tried many times to get my personal details deleted to no avail.

As a seller I have had at least 25 fraudulent sales and attempts to buy. 2 charge backs when they received the digital item. Then £10 on top of that I have to pay as well as the refund. The buyers bank had all the evidence it could be fraud by the red banner on the sale ! Yet continued with the chargeback !

I cancelled my store as it was costing way too much for an over complicated system. Tried to transfer my domains to Squarespace, spent an hour on the chat to an advisor who said it was done. Then closed my account. Transfer did not work and I was told it needed to be reopened at my expense of another £25 just to transfer again.

They soon took my money on the 16th October but as of Wednesday 22nd October still not in receipt of my goods.

shopify customer service used to be good. Not any more. They want to offload your issue to the theme developers all the time. As a small business working with these morons is such a drain on time. Be advised people - useless customer service.

joined this platform hoping to find a side hustle opportunity, but it’s been very confusing to use, and I couldn’t figure out how to get started.
When I decided to cancel my membership, I discovered there’s no clear way to contact customer service — no phone number or email that actually works. I’ve tried several times to reach the support team with no success, yet they continue to charge £25 every month.
I’m writing this review in the hope that someone from the company will see it and help me cancel my membership immediately. I’m not using the service and haven’t sold anything at all. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I would advise anyone thinking of joining to be cautious until the cancellation process is made clearer and more responsive.
Worst company
Same as other reviews, they terminated my store and kept around $3,000 in refunds for three months. I contacted them ten times but never received a clear answer. So far, I haven’t gotten my money back, and customer support keeps repeating the same response: "We are working on it." This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Stay away from Shopify as much as you can ...
