We Don't really write reviews but for Romans going out my way, be careful with this company , trying to charge us bills for when we were not even in the property ,making rent increases 6 months into the contract should be a year, they lied about the property being cleaned, painted and carpets replaced , there are now changed 3 months after we moved in so had to clear each room so carpets could be
replaced ,watch for your signing in date, make sure it's the same day as your moving in date as you will be charged rent even that you are not in the property, they didn't explain this to us , my partner phones Romans with problems saying person we want to speak to on a call and will phone back later, guess what no phone calls, in the end after 3 days we have to go in to the lettings agency ourselves to get any sort of response ( absolutely shameful) could say more but can't waste anymore of my time for this lot of cheats

Unfortunately I have bad experiences with Romans.
After viewing a property that I loved the guy showing me around said it would be all painted for when we moved in . What a actual lie when we moved in nothing was done at all the place was a total mess.
Everytime I rang Romans it's always a answer phone you leave you name and number to call you back but they never do so I have to travel to go to the estate agents even then they say oh we call you or email you but guess what they never do. They are absolutely useless no great service at all.i was actually told DO NOT rent from Romans but I thought they can't be that bad but I wish I had listened.
So if you want good service please please don't not use Romans. They lie to you so much . They need to be trained properly and treat there customers with respect and keep the tenants up to date on things and not lie to them.

I have been working with Stacey Cowap at Romans for several years. Stacey is always totally on top of maintenance, addressing client issues and every aspect of renting out my home. Stacey has always been immensely responsive and has also provided total peace of mind when dealing with some of the trickier issues of renting a property. She is true professional.

I have had a great experience with Lewis Bebb at Romans. He is very efficient and reliable. He kept me updated every step of the way. He was very prompt, very patient and always returned my calls. He is incredibly fast at dealing with matters. I would highly recommend Lewis. He is the best!

I have always found the staff at Romans extremely helpful especially Stacey Cowap who always answers emails very promptly. I have a fully managed service which means that any issues are dealt with by Stacey or one of her colleagues and they have a large number of vetted tradespeople at their disposal. My only criticism would be the extra charges they apply in addition to the management fee but on the whole very happy with the service.

Absolutely unbelievable experience from Romans. We were with Tim Russ and had 4 viewings in 4 months (2 of which I did myself) and then we went with Romans. Aduel came over and we had a long chat and from what he promised I thought we’d go with them. He got people through the door – end of. We had plenty of viewings and within 4 months we are exchanged and completed. FANTASTIC communication, always willing to have a chat or come to our house to speak about things and when the offer came in they kept us up to date with every single step of the process. 1000% recommended if you really want to sell your house. THANKS SO MUCH ROMANS!!

The Team at High Wycombe were very good, particularly the Manager Stephanie, whose attention to details was excellent, provided brilliant advice and guidance and kept us in the loop at all times which assisted greatly in ensuring the sale went through very smoothly - we would certainly recommend the High Wycombe branch.

We got in touch with Romans when our purchasers pulled out through another agent and they were hot on it and got us a new buyer within a week, taking us right through to the sale of the house. Romans were excellent. Professional, approachable and extremely helpful in selling our property. I highly recommend them.

Very unprofessional staff. They only let us know the flat is not available to view after a 90 min drive to get there because they didn't have the correct keys. We were told this as we arrived at the property and there was opportunity for them to tell us before as we had a number of calls with them arranging the viewing that day. Just very disorganised and unprofessional. There was an attitude of not wanting to sort the problem and no remorse for wasting our time. To add on top of this the listing didn't even meet our minimum requirements which we had outlined to them.

Stephanie and James made the process easy and were always available to answer any questions or contact the vendors to keep things moving. Even when an issue came up which wasn’t down to them, they did everything they could to resolve it in a timely manner. If I come to sell my property, I will do it through the Romans team.

I share the sentiment with those with similar experiences. The experience with this agent, has been nothing but unpleasant. They were quick to take a year's worth of rental from us (during COVID) - which quite plainly could have paid our mortgage off, in our home country, but don't deem it urgent to repay us our deposit. It has now been 6 weeks and counting. They lack understanding of the economic environment, compassion, customer service, administration capability and just plain courtesy/professionalism.
I feel we have nothing but been taken advantage of...
