I've been contacted over the years endless times by these guys.
They sound almost legit, as they keep you on the phone for good 10/15mins talking about some made up roles that are an absolute perfect fit for you.
ALL THEY REALLY WANT are REFERENCES from previous employers to pester them.
If you give them any reference they'll disappear. If you make clear that you won't share any reference you'll get rid of them.
It's just a scam, watch out.

This company hound people in cold hits via text and WhatsApp messaging. Despite replying to all messages they continued to contact me. The last to date, Stephanie, who when I asked her to remove my number from their listing, was simply arrogant and down right rude. Who ever would want to work for an agency who conducts business in this way would want their heads reading!!! I wouldn’t put it past them to have paid for the few good reviews that are listed here

Do not provide any references to these Jokers...Complete waste of my time (enticing me about a role) trying to steal my previous work contacts for their sales and marketing.

They called me out of the blue for a role (from a London phone no). Said there was a positon I could good for.

Then wanted references up front. I refused to give it them.

Be careful - If any agency requests references up front are a complete scam, and the job is fictious - FACT - Roc-Search fits the criteria with perfection.

The question I want to ask to Roc Search, why do you do this? Also, on here many people have mentioned to provide references.

This is not a good practise. Perhaps this should be made illegal.

Very poor. Pay was incorrect and ended up leaving with them owing me money. Raised numerous complaints, nobody got back to me with an explanation. Contracted for 7 years and this was by far the worst agency I've used. Avoid at all costs

After asking for references up front, which I presume was to speed up to process if offered a job, they approached my references. One of these was my current manager who I stated in an email that should not be contacted without checking with me first.

From the initial contact in November I have had not contact with them since until finding out my references had been approached.

I have now emailed the regional director and the owner of the company for a response.

The company follow up very well until the best happens. They hold the candidates by hands to see them get the job appointment.

People within the manchester office were great to work alongside, not a bad word to say about them.
However, the company has an extremely poor training structure (in my first few weeks i had 1 training session every couple of weeks) and the company structure in general is poor.
Management is constantly changing.
Not a great place to work for someone looking to start their career in recruitment

I did a 2 month contract with a client of Roc, the contract was for 6 months apparently but in reality was for 2 months, the agent promise me that he will find me something else, anyway all was a lie.
Avoid this agency.

Actually had an interview for a role, was offered a contract role, then kept waiting about for weeks with no contract and then the interim role was cancelled. Poor communication and a poor business all round. People not calling you back when arranged and little effort to resolve this issue.

Great company to work with, very knowledgeable and found me a position.

I had recently graduated from college and was coming up at the end of my internship looking for junior and entry level roles in many different areas. Unlike other recruiters, the one that had called me from this company was consistent, kept me updated , and provided all the paperwork I needed to provide for the role and even checked in with me throughout my first month within the role.

Josh made the process simple and quick. Provided timely communication and assistance through the process with the hiring team.
