Poor quality product & poor customer service

I received a $218 necklace from family for my birthday. After one month of wearing it over a t-shirt (not on skin) and keeping it dry, the gold plating has started to wear off. That’s very disappointing considering how expensive it is.

I contacted customer service and they’ve offered to send me a replacement “as a gesture of goodwill”, even though there is a one-year warranty on the jewelry. They also stated that the customs fees were “outside of their control”, which is inaccurate because it IS possible for the sender to cover the receiver’s customs costs. Basically they are telling me that I need to pay MORE money to receive a replacement for a low quality product that I’ve already paid extra customs fees for.

It really rubs me the wrong way when spiritual businesses behave like this and display no empathy toward customers and don’t do the right thing. I blindly trusted the founder on Instagram and believed they sold high quality products, but they do not.

This isn’t the standard we aim for, and we completely understand your frustration, especially given the circumstances and the meaning behind the piece.

To clarify, your necklace is covered under our one-year warranty, and you are absolutely entitled to a replacement. We’re very sorry for the earlier wording in our communication, which did not reflect this clearly.

In terms of customs fees, while we understand how frustrating these are, they are determined by the destination country and, as outlined on our website, are the responsibility of the recipient for all international orders. Unfortunately, this isn’t something we’re able to cover.

That said, we do recognise that the level of fading you experienced happened sooner than expected, and we have offered a replacement in line with our warranty.

We genuinely value your feedback and will be taking this on board as we continue to review both our product quality and customer experience.

If you would like to proceed with your replacement, please do reach out to us directly and we’ll be happy to arrange this for you.

Awful Experience

Two weeks on from returning my item — and I still do not have my refund.

The ring was sent back exactly as instructed to the address provided. Tracking confirms delivery. Yet I am now being told it hasn’t been “received” because it first goes to a PO Box and then has to be forwarded internally. Apparently this causes delays.

That is not a customer issue — that is an internal operational problem.

Instead of a straightforward refund, I’ve had to chase multiple times for updates. There has been no proactive communication, no clear timeline, and no real sense of urgency. For a jewellery brand dealing in meaningful purchases, the aftercare has been shockingly poor.

The experience has turned what should have been a special occasion purchase into ongoing frustration.

Two weeks in — still no refund. That says everything.

Nice Jewellery, SHOCKING return service

Thank you for your review - and firstly, I’m really sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. We completely understand how frustrating it is to be waiting for a refund.

We did outline in the returns information email that there can be a delay between tracking showing as “delivered” and the refund being processed. This is because our returns address is a processing location rather than our operational base, so parcels are first received there and then forwarded on to us. Unfortunately, that forwarding stage can add a little extra time.

Please be assured that as soon as your return physically reaches us, your refund will be issued straight away. We never withhold refunds once items are received on our end.

We really appreciate your patience, and we’re sorry again for the delay.

Goddess Lakshmi necklace


I’ve had my Goddess Lakshmi necklace from Rani & Co. for over a year now, and I’m honestly still in love with it. The quality is incredible, it has held up so well and still looks good as new, even with regular wear. No fading, no dullness, just beautiful craftsmanship.

Company ignoring my emails

Trying to return an item but it states that you have to email the company and they have not replied to my email. This is ridiculous for an expensive piece of jewellery!

Returns "lost" in post

Purchased items worth £135. Did not like them so asked for a return address. Was given an address by the company which looks to be a residential home address. Returned the items, unfortunately I did not send via a tracked service. When queried with the company weeks later, they advised they had not received my return. Unfortunately, I suspect the company, learning that my return was not tracked, have decided they do not need to refund. Whether they received the items back or not, I do not know. However, as a precaution if ordering from this company, please always send your returns via a tracked service as they may tell you they have not received your return otherwise.

Very poor costumer service, even they told me they don’t care about the reviews, they stole my deposit, this couple are very rude, they shouldn’t run a business in Canada. It jewellery place in Gerrard, they keep my $1800

No response from customer service day…

Further disappointment as I am now being blamed for the address error in the reply below, when I have a copy of the order confirmation clearly stating the correct address.

Hideous attitude, hideous customerservice, hideous blame game.

Just fix YOUR error.

Stunning Pieces

Next day delivery- more like normal delivery. Yet paid for next day!

Although the jewellery I received was beautiful, I paid the next day delivery fee which was £8.99 but it did not come next day. I placed the order Friday afternoon so can understand it coming Tuesday, however it was not delivered until the Wednesday. Through frequent emails back and fourth there was no good enough reason why this happened. I was asked to refer back to the shopping page on website. My understanding of next day delivery, is literally NEXT DAY. Not 3 days later. Well, 3 and half. If you advertise a big payment for next day delivery, that’s when it should come. Not the standard delivery. Very disappointed. And no understanding of this whatsoever.
* as stated to you via email- delivery was attempted on the Wednesday- not the Tuesday. I have proof of this and the successful delivery on the Thursday!

As we had discussed via email and stated on our website, our dispatch time frame is 1-3 working days and next day delivery is only available if the order is placed before 12pm. As you had placed your order close to 3pm on a Friday, your order was not processed until the following working day which was the Monday. Our courier will have collected your order on Monday and delivery was attempted the following day which was within the 24 hour window in which you had paid. I advised you over email that all of this information was available to you on our website, therefore you made the purchase with this knowledge and this was why we were unable to reimburse you the shipping cost in this instance. I hope I have been a little more clear in our reasoning and I thank you for your time.

Rani & Co review

I ordered the thick starburst hoop earrings in gold and have worn them and not taken them out since the day they arrived (20.10.23)! I placed the order on 17.10.23 and so they arrived in good time. The hoop earrings are lightweight so perfect for every day and I’ve had lots of compliments on them. I was pleased with the quality and thought it matched the price. I would recommend this company and their products to others.

I bought myself the bee necklace and…

I bought myself the bee necklace and had so many compliments on it, I actually bought one for my friend as she loved it. You can tell that so much love and care goes in to designing and making the jewellery and the service was exceptional.
