If you're passionate about photography and looking for the perfect place, the Photography Academy of Ireland is truly exceptional. From the moment I enrolled, I was impressed by the expertise and dedication of the tutors. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from my tutor Hugo Felix. Beyond being an exceptional tutor, he is an inspiring tutor, always encouraging, providing constructive feedback, and pushed me to challenge myself creatively. I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor and Academy.
As a student, I see the Photography Academy in Ireland as more than just a college; it is a centre for creative development. The tasks require challenging assumptions and discovering your own unique style. The Academy emphasizes individuality and encourages experimentation rather than imitation. Although the challenges can be frustrating, this is where you learn the most, with the support of professional instructors. Through various projects, I have identified my strengths and developed my own style of photography. I have learned to trust my intuition and not be afraid of failure. Although the Photography Academy in Ireland has a demanding curriculum, it is a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about developing their creativity. Online studies at the Photography Academy of Ireland are perfect for anyone looking to enhance their photography skills from anywhere in the world. You can study at your own pace, fitting your education around your daily routine. Professional tutors provide one-on-one consultations and detailed feedback, ensuring continuous improvement. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a transformative photography education.
I recently completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Photography through home study, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The course was well-structured and engaging, allowing me to learn at my own pace while still gaining valuable skills and insights. One of the highlights was the incredible support I received from the tutor. Whenever I had questions or needed clarification, they were always quick to respond and offer guidance. The personalized assistance really made a difference and helped me stay motivated throughout the course. I’m genuinely happy with the knowledge I’ve gained and the overall experience, and I feel much more confident in my photography skills as a result. Highly recommended!

Any questions are answered promptly
Feedback is always positive and encouraging even if I felt the assignment could have been better.
The student services team are really helpful and so responsive! I am taking my course from home as it works better with my schedule but I always know the team are only an email or phone call away should any query arise.
Shoutout to Alastair in particular for being so friendly and nice!

I am 61. I enrolled with the Photography Academy of Ireland in January after doing copious research. In a nut shell, it is worth the effort.
Firstly, I am doing my diploma over 3 years which works perfectly for me as I have so much to learn. To date I have passed module 1.
About 1 month ago I started working on module 2. It has been a challenging time for me as I invested in a good speedlight (second hand) to compliment my camera and a light meter. It has taken so much of my time to familiarise myself with these new devices as I am not particularly technical.
This week I realised, that after spending considerable time on research, I was off subject for what is required for assignment 3. Combined with the time spent getting to know how the new technical stuff operates, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. When I wrote the email to my tutor, I thought to myself 'I really need to get a positive response here to give me the psychological boost I need now'. It transpired that my tutor is on holiday.
Secondly, the reason I am writing this review is to highlight the excellent response I received from Hugo Felix who saw the message I sent and instinctively knew that I needed some guidance without delay.
Hugo, who is not the tutor assigned to me, sent me a soul saving email at this time, just a few hours later. Outside of the promptness of his reply, I was so impressed by the time he took to write me a comprehensive message, acknowledging sensitively what I had hitherto realised that I was off subject but giving me the guidance that I failed to find in the numerous searches that I did beforehand. Not alone did I feel the psychological boost I really needed but also, I was able to search with new information that has made all the difference to me.
Thirdly, my view is that any company who has an employee of the calibre of Hugo Felix is a company to sign up to now.
