These people helped me a lot when I was in a situation that was big and beyond me after the demise of my mom. The emotional toll was already hard enough, but having to then try to gain access to her assets so that they wouldn't just disappear from my family as an NRI was a very daunting task. The legal team communicated well and often, being as transparent as possible each step of the way. As an investor in property companies in India taking legal action is the last thing one thinks about at the start of the investing process when due diligence work appears to be positive. Major upheaval at Board level and senior management of property companies required help from NRI Legal Services. Legal process do take time and pandemic did not help. Property companies representative would not turn up on the date when court cases were to be heard.

NRI were very professional throughout the service. My parents are resident in the UK and were unable to travel abroad to sell their property in India.
I explained to Neha that my parents would also find it difficult to make the journey to their London office and they resolved this by conducting a Zoom meeting. Savinder Singh spoke to my parents in Punjabi, which was a great help and comfort to them. He was very knowledgeable in explaining the process of selling properties abroad and the added issues when the property was tenanted.
My parents decided on requesting an initial valuation of the property. This process did take longer than I expected 3-4 months, but NRI did respond to my chase up calls each time and replied each time.

Once they have the majority of your money with their payment scheme, there is no incentive or drive for for them to do a good or even an adequate job. They have the advantage, you have no bargaining power. They provide legal services (poorly) from India. We have been very disappointed this company, and regret using them.

As we know NRIs/OCI holders are well connected to India as they have strong ties with their relatives and are overall comfortable/happy visiting the country where they were born. NRI Legal Services took our case of Inheritance dispute and afyer 12months of charging exorbitant fees were not able to even get evidence good enough to file a decent case in the court. Every call with them was full of promises without any progress and asking for more time. In the end they asked us to pay more to release a report. The contents of the report were of no use and they were not even honest to say that they do not have any legitimate information to reveal. Very poor service and no outcome.
