Good products for Christmas

I made two Christmas orders of goodies from Nifeislife, one for myself and one for my son. I was extremely pleased with the products as was my son. There is a good variety and prices are about the average for these imported goods.
One positive suggestion is to define the delivery slot slightly better as it was some 5 hours which was quite difficult to manage.
However, I already had a contact in Jade Garcia who had been very helpful in previous queries. In spite of the person who answered the phone not being very helpful and saying I had booked that slot, in other words tough cheese, Jade helped me to get a better idea when the driver would be delivering and I was therefore able to go out for an hour. Please pass on this compliment to Jade and her boss.

A great way to source Italian food in London

Very good selection of food, both fresh and packaged. The website is easy to navigate even though it would be useful to have a button to hide sold out items. The quality of the food is as good as any one would find in an italian supermarket. I have always found the service prompt and helpful, especially in these challenging times.

The food is at least good

The food is all good, however if you order at a busy time e.g. around black Friday, be aware that the customer service doesn't exist. I guess they're too busy to reply at all, the phone number tells you to email them and emails go unanswered.
In fairness, I was trying to put right a mistake I had made, (My old address had been saved and I didn't notice until after I'd paid), but over the 5 days from when I ordered, until I received the package, numerous emails and phone calls went unanswered.

Great quality food and customer service

Great quality food and arrived on the day I requested. Meat was packaged in a cool bag and glass jars wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them in transit.
I had to email them a couple of times, my queries were answered promptly and I was very impressed with their customer service.

Food is excellent

Food is excellent, send an order to a family member and they absolutely loved it. The fresh mozarella is the best i have tasted and the ready made pizza dough is really convenient.

Have only recently discovered this…

Have only recently discovered this company.
Upon receiving my order, I was horrified to find the Bauli Mini Pannetone cake completely covered in green mould, despite the sell by date being 2021.
I immediately emailed the company together with photos.
I received an apology and refund but actually it would have been good customer service to have sent a complimentary replacement together with my refund.
There was a health risk associated with this product for which I feel I have not been fully compensated for.

We are extremely sorry about the mouldy Mini Panettone that you have received, and as you have mentioned, we have replied to your email, issued a refund, and started an investigation with the Supplier and the producers. As the product arrives sealed and we do not open all of them, we do a quality check on some random samples to ascertain the quality when we receive the items. This looks as a production error, as the Seasonal items are produced specifically shortly before Christmas. For the purpose of the investigation we have had to check the lot numbers and sort out the products we will not sell until the investigation is clear. This means we could not send you a replacement, therefore we have issued the refund.
We are sorry if you are not happy with the resolution, please understand there are procedures we have to follow in the unlikely event we receive a damaged stock.

Stop the plastic bags!

I have been ordering from Nifeislife since 2008, mostly long life Italian groceries such as flour, tuna, pasta, tomato sauce, biscuits etc. I can’t comment on quality as I rarely order fresh food a part from mozzarella which has always been of good quality albeit expensive. All in all the service has always been good, I used to get every now and then little freebies or vouchers which were always well received as sign of appreciation towards their loyal customers, however those times have long gone and I have stopped receiving anything. What is really starting to bother me though is the number of plastic bags they use to pack the shopping. I would be happy to receive my shopping in recycled cardboard boxes such as the ones they receive their goods when shipped from Italy. You must stop this or this will put me off from buying again.

The bags we use are not only made from recycled material but also biodegradable. We have reduced our use of single use plastic and have switched to recyclable materials, we send the invoice via email instead of a paper receipt, and we use biodegradable and reusable bags. Obviously some plastic is necessary to guarantee the good preservation of the goods we send, but we think we manage to balance its usage quite responsibly.

The food is really good quality

The food is really good quality, albeit expensive. They are not super organised but make up by calling up to discuss any issue that there might be with your order. I've used them regularly in the past years to top up some italian essentials with long-shelf life that I previously used to fill my luggage with when coming back from Italy!

I just got my very first order…

I just got my very first order delivered. It included a large amount of unrecyclable plastic.

I have children. I love Italian food, but I cannot throw away a mountain of plastic every time I buy some pelati and a mozzarella.

Please work on your packaging. Make it environmentally friendly. Then let me know.
Until that happens, I will not be able to shop with you, even if I love your products.

If it was possible I would have put 0…

If it was possible I would have put 0 stars. Ordered a package with Nife is Life, paid £5 more to receive it on Saturday. They sent it with DPD. The driver said he missed me but I was in and when they sent me the picture to prove it he went to the wrong address! Tried to contact DPD but the chat line was completely useless. Tried to call and even though it was open there were just the registered voice so useless again. Called Nife is Life and nothing and since on their answer it looks to me that they are inferring that I am lying I sent them proof of the call on my call log after their rude answer. I think it is the driver's fault but Nife os Life has a very poor customer service and no service! Worst experience ever.

We are extremely sorry that you are not satisfied with the service.

While we understand the inconvenience of receiving your order late, we have shipped the order on time, and according to DPD they attempted delivery. We have started an investigation with them to understand what has happened as you have stated that they went to the wrong address. We recognise that it is our responsibility to get your order to you, but we also kindly ask a little understanding. The DPD drivers are not our drivers and we cannot contact them, we reassure you that we will do everything we can to solve any issue that may arise with the courier service and we will raise a complaint and get to an explanation and a resolution. However their customer service is not our customer service and we strive to provide a good service and to constantly improve.

As for the Sunday/Saturday delivery, we would like to inform you that as per their system the delivery was attempted on the correct date, we will be charged for the extra delivery on a Sunday, and we have never and never will charge you for that as an extra.

On Saturday, we only work in the morning, and we are closed on Sunday. We have checked the call log and we have not received any calls from your registered number neither before nor after closing time, and the first email we have received from you was on Monday 02 November at 1.46pm. While we are closed for 1.5 days, we will answer all the emails and find a resolution to any issue that has arisen on Monday morning when we get to the office.
While we might not always get it right, we do strive to give the best service we can and to improve.

We mainly order from Nife "Mozzarella…

We mainly order from Nife "Mozzarella di Buffala" and not very often as it is expensive when ordering for 3 families.
We received our delivery yesterday however the mozzarella disappointingly is not up to scratch - we believe it has been frozen or if not the quality or flavour by far of what we were expecting to eat as you would in Italy or at least from the Campania region where we are originally from and which we have bought from you before.
We have tasted mozzarella that is just the same as yours that we had yesterday from Lidl - the tastes are no different...
We also ordered large Mozzarella balls and received a batch of half big ones and lots of smaller ones
Furthermore, one of the bags was broken and leaked through the main packaging.

Extremely disappointed guys esp when we spent virtually £80 just on this cheese complete let down as we were so excited to order it ....
very sorry but we won't be coming back and looking for another supplier now as you are no longer alone doing this as you were many years ago when we first joined you and yes I agree your customer services also need to be sorted - I have tried to call you several times today and nobody has answered.
Molto Delusi peccato as you used to provide a quality service and quality mozzarella ! Don't sell to Italians and you might be ok !!

We are extremely sorry that you are not happy with the product received.

The Buffalo Mozzarella we sell is produced by hand using all natural ingredients and methods, and it has not changed in the past 20 years. We receive the mozzarella via air twice weekly as it is the fastest way to receive the items and still maintain its freshness.

When we receive the items we do a quality check and afterwards the items are ready to be shipped to our Customers, we understand we might still miss something and appreciate any feedback as it helps us investigate further the matter and improve. The batch you received passed the quality test and we have not received any other complaints, so we did not know there was an issue. While all the precautions are taken to ensure the items arrive at their best it could happen, albeit rarely, that the item is damaged during transport. If an order is delivered with our own vans, then the driver will not deliver the items and we will reschedule a delivery where possible, if the order is outside the area we deliver with our own vans, the courier will act according to their methodology. If we are made aware of any issue before your delivery we will contact you. If there are any issues, you can either call us or send an email to info@nifeislife.com and we will reply within 48hrs. We apologise for not answering your call, we strive to answer any call and call back if we miss some and we are extremely sorry this has not happened with you. We have not received any emails from you; otherwise we would have replied and found a solution.

We can see you have ordered the 500gr handmade mozzarella which usually comes either in 4x125gr balls or 5x100gr balls depending on production. As this item was not available we have sent the Delicacy that is several 50gr smaller balls. The product is the same; the size of the bites is the only difference. The item was switched as the one was not available and we genuinely thought it would be appreciated, we apologise if this was not the case.

London only for most products 😡

Was a good customer for about a year. Introduced 2 friends and 2 family members who also joined due to great produce even if sometimes a little expensive. But since Covid they have become basically a London only business. Don’t seem to care about any customers outside London. Don’t expect people to come back when you decide to return to other parts of the UK!!

Good products / Bad customer service

I've been client for nifeislife since 8 years (when I moved to London).

Due a recent change in my postcode (which is 3 minutes away from the old one) I have been prevented to have access to free delivery and lot of fresh product.

I've been in contact with the customer service that claimed they can change the order manually on the go. After placing the order, I've asked the customer service team to confirm that the delivery was being manually shift to the NEW one. The customer service response is way too slow as well.

I use to love nifeislife - but I hardly want to use it now. Every time there's a new issue so it's getting so frustrating that I have to spend HOURS, to get in touch with someone over there.

Also - forget about contacting them via phone (it's pointless, no one ever replies) or via facebook page as the messaging session is run by a bot.

I hope a similar service will take over asap and be more inclusive and efficient in East London delivery areas, because is becoming IMPOSSIBLE to shop at nifeislife. Sorry guys :-(

As our customer service explained to you through e-mails the area where you live now is outside the area served by our drivers but it is served by DPD courier so it is not possible for you to order certain fresh products, glass water and homemade meals but the delivery is free for orders above £60 weight less than 15Kg. Furthermore as our social media team explained on Facebook message the best way to contact us is to send an e-mail to info@nifeislife.com to have direct communication to the customer service as they have all the information regarding your order and delivery. As we clarify through messages you sent e-mails to our staff personal e-mail addresses but as previously explained some staff is on holiday during this period and if you send them e-mail to them we didn't receive it on time. I bought fresh food, my order included truffle burrata, buffalo mozzarella and smoked burrata and were all really high quality, like in Italy. Next time I’ll order more products by them! Delivery by appointment , in time and cheap.better italian product ever Bought since I live in uk. Thanks a lot
