Poor service/poor quality

Poor service, poor quality, poor company
My experience with MYCS was disgraceful over around 6 months. Constant emails, telephone calls to them to find out where my order was. They then delivered materials and sent people to build a wardrobe and dressing table, but these people claimed parts were missing. This proved to NOT be the case since I ended up building everything myself and had everything apart from a few standard issue screws that I picked-up at the local hardware store. Before I built it, MYCS went bankrupt. The only way to find this out was a note on their website to tell me this. I had to search the press to find out more. So we otherwise faced more months of dusty boxes left in our bedroom (we have allergies as I explained to MYCS many many times on phone calls when they were not yet bankrupt). For this reason, I built the furniture myself as health at risk of deteriorating.
The worst worst thing about this terrible experience was that 4 years ago I bought exactly the same design furniture dressing table (same wood, same color, same materials), thinking it would match a smaller version I had that I was very happy with. How wrong I was. The "quality" of the new one was absolutely awful. The draws (one of the few things the MYCS installers did make when they originally came) are all distorted, the MDF is thin and weak, the paint finish is cheap-looking, the doors fell off and needed reinforcing by me around the hinges... in short, 4 years ago I bought a quality product, which I thought I was getting this time as well. But this was not the case. The quality was comparatively very very poor and certainly not worth the 1000s priced. So in short, BEWARE not only the credibility of MYCS (they could go bankrupt again any time) but most of all the VERY VERY poor quality of the product. Steer clear.

Worth the wait

I finally got my Wardrobe delivered which I had ordered in February, just before MYCS went insolvent. I had ordered the wardrobe including the assembly, which went very smoothly. The 2 guys doing the assembly were very professional and took a lot of care to make sure that both the wardrobe and also my interior were left spotless and without damages.
Unfortunately, it got delivered with a wrong door, which is now missing and will need to be delivered and assembled another time. Thus, I am giving only 4 stars. However, the overall experience is good and the wardrobe looks nice and is great quality.

Avoid MYCS: I bought some freestanding shelves from…

I bought some freestanding shelves for 1440 euros from MYCS in January 2024. Nothing was delivered. I was later told that the company had gone bankrupt and that a refund would not be possible.

Since then the company has been trading, despite being bankrupt. The company also asked me to inform a credit card company that I can't contact MYCS although I obviously could.

I love MYCS's designs but, based on my experience, I recommend avoiding them. The entire experience has been absolutely appalling and stressful.

(Resolved) No product, no refund, no communication

Edit #1 October 15th 2024: MYCS has finally delivered the products. Thank you MYCS-team! :)

As a regular customer I have ordered two products in January 2024 from MYCS for a total of 1300€ and have received neither of them, nor did I ever get back an actual response from MYCS about what is going on.

Since the insolvency of MYCS in February 2024 and subsequent take over by Custodia Capital there is no hotline anymore and emails are not answered at all. Estimated delivery times are completely ignored.

My deepest sympathies for the support staff and other employees of MYCS that simply had no say in the insolvency and further decision-making.

However, I will advise my friends against buying at MYCS in the future unless this issue is resolved.
