Oh wow. Another broker creates a moving company marketplace and the service is awful... Calling themselves MUVR technologies like they are uber when really just a broker doing things the same way since 1980
Muvr made the whole process of getting a sofa from a marketplace ridiculously easy. What could’ve been a logistical headache turned into a fast, seamless delivery, pickup was quick, communication was clear, and the driver handled everything professionally. The turnaround time was especially impressive; from booking to drop-off, it felt optimized for speed without sacrificing care. If you’re buying furniture locally and don’t want to deal with the usual hassle of coordinating transport, Muvr is a no-brainer.
WORST FAKE COMPANY WITH THE WORST OWNER
Owner does not pay employees and with unjust termination. No integrity at all for employees, movers, investors and customers.
Doesn't pay employees on time and salary delayed
Do NOT book with this company. They will scam you. If your items get damaged, they won’t properly process your damage claim they’ll just ignore you until you stop following up. This company is completely unprofessional and disgusting.
Also, don’t be fooled by their 5-star reviews. Those are likely fake either paid or from people they know just to make the company look trustworthy. This company has no integrity at all. Beware.
I worked for this company for a long time, and based on my experience, Filipino workers are being taken advantage of. Employees are overworked, micromanaged, and there have been cases where workers were suddenly terminated without proper compensation for the work they already completed.
This kind of treatment is unfair and deeply concerning. Customers and workers alike deserve honesty, transparency, and respect—but this company fails on all of those.
Please be careful and think twice before dealing with this company.
Dishonest company. They have you pay upfront which i had done before so I thought its ok. I told them the table weighed 400--500 lbs. They send two guys that can't pick it up, let alone move it. They won't provide a full refund because it's a 50% cancellation fee. But I didn't cancel! They canceled me!
I worked for Muvr. The owner is the worst. Micromanagement with inconsiderate attitude issues over all his employees. No wonder no employees stay longer than a month. Even just a few weeks. He pays his employees lowball and demands too much with no appreciation.
We needed a large piece of furniture (100" buffet) to be delivered because the furniture company didn't have their own delivery. They had business cards for several companies including muvr.io- took a look at their web site and decided to give them a try based on the online quoted price. Especially since they had a 10% discount offer.
Booking was seamless for same-day delivery. The 2 delivery guys were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely use them again!
Two minor glitches:
1) Had to pay an extra $80 when they went to pickup the item because it was extremely heavy. (Dispatcher had to call and get my verification to charge me the additional amount.) I expected the extra weight charge, but would have liked it better if it had been in the original quote. Also, I don't think the extra charge had the 10% deducted.
2) Although you can check the location of the delivery truck (just like you can see where your Uber is), it didn't get updated after they picked up the furniture, although I did get text messages about the ETA and just before they arrived.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They scammed my 83-year-old mother out of nearly $400 using an age-old scam perpetrated by moving companies. They quoted her a price to remove and dispose of a refrigerator based on a detailed description and photograph of the refrigerator. When they showed up with insufficient movers, they blamed her for not providing the weight of her refrigerator (we told them when booking the job that we did not know the weight of the fridge because it was 37 years old and who knows the weight of their refrigerator??). They then increased the price of the job by $250. She declined to pay their increased fee and canceled the job, but instead of just charging her a cancelation fee (which amount they never even told her), they kept her entire payment. So they scammed an 83-year-old woman out of $400 and provided no service. (We disputed the charge with the credit card company, but the company determined they lacked sufficient information to evaluate the charge because we could not provide an invoice for the job--because Muvr never provided an invoice. Nice scam for Muvr--don't provide an invoice so their fraudulent charge cannot be disputed with the credit card company.)
I was excited for the opportunity to start working with Muvr. I filled out the application and submitted the required information including pictures of tools, vehicles and a short video. Everything was going smoothly until I got to the background check portion. I acknowledged my approval to proceed. As soon as I clicked continue, the app went into a “loading” mode with the little wheel spinning wheel. It’s been spinning for a week now. I tried submitting a new application with my alternate email and got to the same point. It is impossible to find any kind of support online. Their “chat” option is not working. As soon as you send the message, it says the conversation has been terminated and asks if I’d like to start a new conversation. It just goes round and round like that. The idea seems good but the onboarding has been quite stressful. The app seems like a great idea, especially for self employed individuals like myself that want to fill in their work day. Hopefully I can come back soon and update my review to 5 stars.
Update, I finally was able to obtain a tech support number. They were pretty helpful but then communication stopped. I’m hoping they get back to me soon.
they argued that there was more stuff than they were led to believe. Was not true, and I pointed out everything in the text message and how it was all exactly as stated. I don’t think they liked that the place looked messy. but they were only responsible for moving furniture and 8 boxes They left in a huff. They were extremely rude. it was stressful and inconvenient. I honestly think they just didn't want to do the job.
The woman I was helping move by hiring your company was telling me about somebody she tried to use a few days ago who was unreliable. Your guys thought that she was talking about them. I tried to explain that she was talking about a different company from three days ago. They wouldn't listen they just said we're out of here and they jumped in the truck and left.
Honestly, I have never been treated so rudely in my life.
These movers were pretty quick and careful. They were great 👍
Their moving service was quick and easy!!
