While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more
To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Beware of mcft
Started 40 to 45 hour contract, advised if I will be working up to 60 , when declined for family reason that was stated at interview, I was advised I didn't have the experience i have on paper over last 10 years , and questioned on time keeping both Laughable.Did not pull a tool out of my bag in 3 weeks of employment yet advised on my ability.. My treatment was totaly uncalled for and upsetting please beware of joining this was my experience.
As a former employee
As a former employee, this was unfortunately one of the most challenging work experiences I’ve had.
The environment felt highly pressurised, with limited cooperation or support from management. Despite having decades of experience, I was told I “didn’t know the job,” yet very little practical guidance or hands-on training was provided.
Teamwork was largely absent. The culture seemed focused on highlighting mistakes rather than recognising consistent performance. You could complete 100 jobs correctly and on time, but if one job ran over schedule, that would be the only thing acknowledged by your team leader.
The role often felt like being self-employed while carrying the workload of three positions engineer, parts sourcing, and job scheduling without adequate support.
I joined with the expectation of proper training and team backing, but in my experience, this did not materialise. On one occasion, a scheduled training session on a unit I hadn’t worked on before was cancelled three times.
Prospective employees may wish to research thoroughly and read a range of reviews to gain a clearer picture before making a decision.
Engineers are the backbone of any service company, and greater respect and structured support for them would significantly improve the working environment.
