To be clear I am a 15+ year wearer of the Mascot Ronda work pants, 2 pairs a year at least. Unfortunately I was forced into buying the Mascot Unique Kassel as the Ronda line has been discontinued, they were the closest match to the Ronda line. Where to begin? The kneepad pockets are set a couple of inches too high, when kneeling down the bottom of the pads is too high for consistent comfort. They flipped the right leg ruler pockets….WHY?. They removed the tool loops on the right front pouch pocket…I used them daily and kept my tape clipped there. The cut/slack in the three sub divided pockets on the right front pouch pocket is ridiculous as everything falls out as are the stud fasteners to “expand” the main pocket of both front pouch’s. The right front pocket, under the pouch pocket, has a stupid internal pocket…WTF….totally useless. They removed the right side hammer/tool loop entirely which considering the 85% of the population is right handed is ridiculous, if you want to save a few pennies loose the left, had to have been a leftie came up with that one. Left side pouch pocket didn’t change much but the excess slop in the cut means everything falls out if you’re not careful, never mind the expansion stud mentioned above. Left side thigh pocket…where to begin…..on the Ronda line there were two small pockets on the outside of the thigh pocket, perfect for ID cards, bank cards etc, I kept my business cards and access badges in them, completely removed WTF. Instead of the two outer sub pockets they have an internal, what I’m guessing is a “phone pocket”, this basically makes the left thigh pocket unusable for anything else as everything keeps getting tangled up on the inner pocket.

We’re sorry to hear that your new trousers haven’t lived up to your expectations. We understand how frustrating it is when a product you’ve relied on for years is no longer available – especially when specific features have been part of your daily work routine.
The model you’ve purchased is from a different product range, which is why some design details and functionalities differ from the Ronda trousers. That said, we fully understand that these changes don’t work for you in practice.
