Good for first piercing but…
Lovely experience to get my twins their first piercing here but slightly confused how we paid £30 more per earring than the website suggested when we were planning the trip. We did enquire the reason but none of the store staff were able to give a sensible reason and no refund or price adjustment was offered. Felt a bit misled to be honest.
Would only come here for my piercings
Always a joy to visit Maria Tash for new piercings, resizing bars from previous piercings and new jewellery. The team are always friendly, knowledgable, happy and welcoming. Never have to wait long for assistance. Resizing healed bars today took no time at all with a lot of laughs and smiles between the team and also clients waiting for their turn to get new jewellery. New piercing was fun with precise placment after careful discussion (Thanks Kai!). Piercings need to be looked after and is the responsibility of the person who has had it done. Follow instructions and don’t play with them too much in the first few weeks. The team at Maria Tash in Harrods (and Liberty) are all highly trained professionals and do right by us as clients. Could not be more happy with our new piercing and resizing today. Thanks again guys xxx
Terrible staff
I visited the store yesterday with my sister to purchase a butterfly stud, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Three members of staff — Mona Lisa, the pink-haired staff member, and the bald man with tattoos — were condescending and unhelpful throughout our visit.
When I asked about prices, they were slow to respond and seemed unsure of the details. It became clear this was a tactic to upsell, even though we spent over £1,000. At one point, I was told the studs I wanted weren’t available, even though I could see the staff discussing them among themselves. Instead, they tried to push a floating diamond stud priced around £1,000, despite me repeatedly stating I wasn’t interested. I had to ask three separate times for the price, and the staff member continued to include items I hadn’t agreed to. I eventually looked up the prices myself online because she was being deliberately slow and evasive.
The entire process took an hour and a half when it could easily have been completed in ten minutes if they had simply listened to what I asked for. There are three sizes of the earring I wanted, but they kept showing me the largest instead of the medium size I requested. They even claimed it only came in two sizes, although the website clearly shows three — each with a different price. I ultimately purchased the butterfly stud just to end the ordeal.
I was also pressured to get two piercings “in case I was too swollen to return,” which felt pushy and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I witnessed the staff being rude to each other in front of customers, which created a toxic and uncomfortable atmosphere.
On several occasions, I asked to see the placement of where the piercing would be done, but both the pink-haired staff member and the bald man were noticeably cold and dismissive in their responses. Overall, the staff’s attitude and lack of basic courtesy made for an unpleasant experience.
I’ve noticed that some staff in Harrods carry themselves with an air of superiority, which often comes across as rude and unwelcoming. I would strongly recommend visiting Liberty instead — their staff are genuinely polite, attentive, and professional.

I wish someone told me 2 years ago not to buy any overpriced jewellery and not have any piercings. None of the piercings r healing well, I spent so much money on the jewellery which now i have to sell and so much money repiercing ca i don’t like the bumps dorming. I understand it’s unpredictable how it’s heal on each person but someone has ro warn u that it could be a case. But i guess like every business they only care about the profit not the client. None of the helix piercings r healing nicely, just bare it in mind, it’s a possibility. I spent almost 5k on the jewellery which now is pointless
Wonderful piercing experience for my…
Wonderful piercing experience for my 9-yr-old daughter. She is absolutely petrified of needles but was also desperate to get her ears pierced. We Amelia at the counter and she could not have been more lovely and calming helping my daughter pick out her first earrings. Jasmine did my daughter's piercing and did an exceptional job both with the piercing but also keeping my daughter calm and really explaining the how's and why's of caring for her piercings (with saline wipes, not playing with the earrings, etc).
I’m so glad I came across Maria Tash
I’m so glad I came across Maria Tash! I finally have my nose piercing exactly where I wanted it, which isn’t something all piercers are confident in doing. I highly recommend Jasmine. she provided an unforgettable experience. She was quick, gentle, and made the entire process completely painless. She also gave me detailed aftercare instructions, ensuring a smooth healing process.
Jazz
I was served by a lovely lady called Jazz who was a delight to be served by. She made the process simple, quick and also fun by helping me decide which piercing to go for. Not only was she informative but she was also attentive and gentle when doing my piercing.
Thank you Jazz for the best customer service I will be doing all my future piercings at Maria Tash!
Amazing as always :)
I had my second cartilage piercing done at MARIA TASH yesterday with the amazing Jasmine (she's done both my conch and now daith piercings), and she is such a gem! So personable, really puts you at ease and literally such a minimal pain, great experience - I was shocked as (the first time I had a daith piercing it was very painful) this was a night and day experience. The team were so helpful when I enquired about the piercing and finding pieces that would look good. Definitely my 'go-to' place.
Do not get a piercing in this store
Do not get a piercing in this store, what a joke. Firstly spend over 1£ in this piercings did 2 piercings, the piercer just did a very bad job in one of them it was angled the worst way possible. The back of the piercings were wayyy too small for the swelling that happens after, but apparently this is already a common issue with this shop for what I can see on the reviews. I live in Portugal, and the first piercing started to imbed into my ear, I had to remove it nearly with a surgery. Spoke with the shop the tried to help sending to bigger parts, where I had to pay 500£ to get the bars from customs. End up taking the piercing sending back and for a goodwill of the side they gave me the money back for that one but straight away they told me that they wouldn’t refound me the most expensive one. A week after had to take the second one because it happened exactly the same. Now I have a 550£ piercing that I am not going to use because of the piercer mistake. What horrible experience when you pay so much money, lost both piercing, big infections on my ear, lost the 550£ for the piercing. You shouldn’t offer a job that you are not qualified for.
DO NOT COME FOR FIRST PIERCING
I went to Maria Tash to get my first piercing on my BIRTHDAY as I was told it was of the "highest quality" and spent over £1k on earrings, travelling all the way to London and being assured all piercers are experienced. Little do I know the back earing chosen for my first fresh piercing was WAYYY too small. A month later, after a hair got caught on to the earing and a little tug, the back bit of the earing went INSIDE my EAR. I was in so much pain for hours unable to pull my earing out or pierced through my ear. I thought the back earing has fallen off but it ENTERED my ear. I was bleeding, in so much pain until I went to another ear piercer who kindly pulled the whole thing out raw. I was told the earring was UNACCEPTABLE for a fresh piercing and my ear closed. I am left with a ugly hole in my ear that is sealed at the back, having to wait to heal for a month until I can get another piercing at the same spot. Absolutely unacceptable, how can a piercer at Maria Tash with "10+ years of experience" make such an incompetent decision.

Shocking
Shocking ! Awful please avoid at all costs My daughter booked a very expensive appointment that requires a deposit . Within 2 weeks her diamond earring fell out and we had to queue for over an hour for it to be redone. It fell out again 3 weeks later and there is no way to book an appointment . You have to join another queue where salespeople are selling shoddy merchandise to unknowing customers Why should it take £900 and 4 hours for a 12 year old to end up with only one earring . Wrong on every level. Cheap and shoddy merchandise. Read other reviews many earrings fall out early

Absolutely delighted
I am absolutely delighted with the service I’ve received from Maria Tash Harrods this morning. Getting a piece that I’ve long wanted but was only available in the U.S., keeping me informed throughout, and giving me a phenomenally painless tash rook piercing earlier today. I am absolutely delighted with the piece and whole experience. Cannot recommend the Harrods Maria Tash store more highly and Chelsea Ezekiel specifically. She personally sourced the piece for me and her consideration and care has been exceptional. So grateful. Maria Tash is known for premium piercing jewellery, but it’s great people that make it a premium brand. Thank you all so much
Disappointing experience @ Harrods
I visited Maria Tash at Harrods to select some earrings and potentially get additional piercings. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The staff seemed uninterested and disengaged. At one point, there were five employees present, but they all disappeared shortly there after. There was one family that was quickly served and then only myself.
One staff member assisted me by showing various products. I wanted to try on a triple earring to see how it would fit my ear, but she informed me it wasn't possible due to sterilization policies as it was a piercing studio. I suggested they clean the earring like other high end shops do, but she insisted it wasn't an option. This reasoning seemed inconsistent, given that people handle the jewelry frequently without any sterile packaging or cleaning.
All products look absolutely beautifully designed, unfortunately their selection was lacking some stock. They had run out of almost all studs, so I couldn't compare different sizes. When I inquired about this, the staff initially claimed they had none. However, another employee later brought out a box where I noticed a plastic display with all the diamond stud sizes, indicating a lack of transparency or willingness to help of the previous employee.
Moreover, the staff appeared inexperienced and confused about the sizes and prices of various items. This only added to the frustration.
Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, far below the standards expected of a premium brand at Harrods.
I do not plan to return there and might consider trying the Liberty location instead.
I have only seen some reviews on you tube before visiting, they were all glowing and probably some people were paid or given free products. After my visit I looked on Trustpilot and I was shocked to see 2.1 overall rating reflecting poor service and bad quality of some products.
For a brand like Maria Tash, I expected much better. The service did not align with Harrods' reputation or the standards of a premium brand.

Saved by the reviews!
Reading the reviews here sends chills down my spine and wish I had read them before making several purchases from this company. I lost a rose gold thunderbolt thread earring after just 2 months of purchasing it from Harrods in March 2024. I was just about to leave the house one morning and decided to look in the mirror one last time before heading out, and I noticed the thunderbolt was gone. I was devastated and even cancelled my outing, turning the house inside out to no success. My heart sank as I blamed myself for not screwing it in properly and bought another one the very next day with a butterfly backing, it’s been ok since. A month later, the same heartbreaking incident happened to my tragus bought from mariatash website again in March 2024. The post was still in my ear, but the stud was gone. Luckily, I found it but never wore it again. I would return it but unclear about the warranty. The guilt I felt was overwhelming, thinking it was my fault for not securing it properly. Now, I realise it’s just poor quality merchandise after reading these reviews. These reviews have had a profound impact on me, saving me £1500+, as just this afternoon, I had planned on buying two eternity diamond hoops for my lobes. I am grateful for the honesty and relieved to have avoided another potential heartache.
UPDATE: 31/07/2024 - Please avoid contacting customer support, as they engage in misleading and manipulative tactics.
