I strongly advise against ordering from lovehealthhatewaste.com. Placed an order and immediately requested to cancel it, but my emails were completely ignored. They literally ignored over 35 emails and no response until it was too late/marked as dispatched. Instead of resolving the issue, they shipped the order anyway and then refused to take responsibility.

To make matters worse, when the package was finally "delivered," it was left at the wrong location—and I never received it. Despite clear proof that the delivery was incorrect, the company has done absolutely nothing to help. They continue to ignore my emails and have shown no interest in resolving the problem.

Their customer service is non-existent, and they seem to have no regard for their customers. If anything goes wrong with your order, don’t expect them to fix it. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. Do NOT support such a bad company that disregards customer queries and robs them. I will be going through my bank and will be reporting to the ombudsman/trading standards.

CONTINUOUSLY IGNORING EMAILS YET QUICK TO JUMP ON TRUSTPILOT AND CRY ABOUT BEING A SMALL FAMILY RUN BUSINESS.

Your order was marked as delivered, with an image proving delivery had taken place. This means we cannot form a claim with the courier for a lost parcel, and our terms (which are there to ensure our small business remains viable and that sensible limitations of liability are followed) specify this cannot be compensated-for.

Once again, I'm sorry you feel this way - but I would just urge all customers to check our terms and conditions before ordering, to ensure you are happy with the extent of liabilities in certain scenarios.

We have helped save tens of millions of pounds of healthy food and drink from going to landfill since 2015 (genuinely so, too - we focus on stock that would otherwise be thrown in the bin, whilst many other discount retailers are simply preventing food items from being sold to the next highest bidder) - we offer literally unbeatable prices on the best health foods and drinks. But we are a small business, and we have to operate with viability in-mind. I’ve used this company many times over…

I’ve used this company many times over the years and been happy. However, I placed an order and asked to cancel due to a whopping £22 ish shipping charge (on a £60 ish order) which I didn’t notice until I realised the difference between my order amount and the total amount. As a chronically ill full time carer, i do make mistakes a lot due to my medical conditions. I’d already made the mistake of completing the order and was very worried as there was no obvious way of contacting them.
The owner herself thankfully replied and cancelled the order, but with a terse comment:
“ Okay but shipping was shown at the checkout and you still continued with the order anyway.”
I replied erroneously saying that the shipping only became obvious to me via the total amount on PayPal (it was actually my credit card)

I received a reply saying they hadn’t used PayPal for years (but have a nice day).
Quite strange that time was taken out to say this when it really is of no consequence.

Thank you so much for correcting me. I won’t be returning. Good luck to your future customers.

Customer service gave me a UPS tracking # that is not even valid. They said to call back in 3 days.

We don't ship orders to the US (I note you are based here), we don't use UPS for any parcels, and we don't offer phone support (so certainly wouldn't have asked you to call us back, or held the initial phone call with you, to tell you to phone back). Terrible website

I ordered something nearly two weeks ago that was meant to be delivered by the 18th June, it’s now the 20th and my item hasn’t even been shipped and they still haven’t replied to my email asking for an update on the status of my order. I’m going to try and claw my money back from my bank, savings not worth the stress! Shop somewhere else.
Update: got an email saying they would ship my order if I delete my review and threatened me with legal action for leaving this review! Bizarre.

STOLE MY MONEY AND DIDN'T FULFIL ORDER. NO REPLY FROM CS

Like so many other reviews here - money was charged and the items never delivered. Have sent many, many emails to customer service only to receive no reply. Had bought from this company in the past, and like other reviewers found them OK previously (though delivery was always slow and packaging often damaged). They delivered a box weeks ago with a list of missing items, no refund was sent and they're not responding to emails (I've sent loads). Have had to get my bank involved and have reported them to Trading Standards. Am guessing they'll go bust soon anyway. Total scammers. Avoid at all costs.

Good company that with just a few small tweaks could be fabulous

I’ve used this site for several years and overall my experience has been fab.
I’ve had some ridiculously cheap bargains at times, sometimes so low priced I’ve felt a bit guilty!
I’d say 9/10 orders have been great which I think is pretty good considering all the different types of items they are posting out.
I have had a small number of parcels with leaked contents, in fact my last order had an exploded dried jackfruit curry pot (similar to a pot noodle) covering it.
Everything in the parcel was covered in a fine dust which smelt of curry powder and took ages to clean!
However the majority of items I’d ordered were such an incredible price that I really wasn’t too bothered and didn’t even feel the need to let the company know! Shame I didn’t get to try the jackfruit curry though!
It’s clear better packaging of items would be a welcome thing by many!
I’ve found overall that postage times are extremely quick and usually the parcel arrives before the expected date. I’ve seen some people complain about this, but others complain that it’s taken too long. Hard for a company to get it bang in the middle and please everyone!
I’d definitely recommend them to others, in fact I already have and for the most part you’ll be very pleased with your orders.
Just to add, I personally feel that customer service has improved vastly with LHHW.
I was contacted some time ago by them regarding stock damage which meant an order couldn’t be fulfilled. I kept that contact safe and have always had responses back on queries when using it, with a maximum reply time of 24 hours but often much quicker.
Overall very pleased with this company.

I was so put off by some of the reviews…

I was so put off by some of the reviews but I had a really great experience and everything was packaged really well. Ordered 17th, came on the 24th so not bad at all! I do have to say that I was a little disappointed that a product I was going to buy went from being less than £8 to £34 from the time I ordered to the time it my order arrived and I wanted to place another order, but apart from that it was a great experience and I hope to find many more bargains in the near future :)

Love this little website!

I order regularly from this website, there are some tremendous bargains to be had, and some amazing products to try out!
Delivery can take a little while, but this is made clear from the get go. Any issues I have had have been sorted out very promptly and personally, really happy to recommend this website to anybody and everybody!

Shortbread shortage swiftly sorted

I first came across LHHW at the end of July 2021 and was delighted with my first purchase. It cost a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere, everything was in good condition and came before the expected date. In fact over the years I think probably half the orders have been delivered well before I expected.

Since then, LHHW has become my favourite company despite a few issues now and then which, happily, have always been satisfactorily resolved. Before I mention those occasions I want to emphasise that these were rare. In a review it takes more time to write about the few occasions when everything did not go to plan. On all other orders that were fulfilled perfectly it just takes one short sentence.

The reason to give some details about when matters took time to be resolved is to a) give confidence to other customers that LHHW will sort things out in the end, and b) to give constructive feedback to LHHW where their excellent work can be improved.

Looking at my order history I see that my second order was cancelled by LHHW, presumably because stock had run out. I had waited a few days after the due date and was going to contact them when I happened to glance at recent activity on my credit card and saw that there had been a refund under the name of Vitalife. I realised that if an order was late, in future I should look first to see if I had already been refunded. Perhaps it would have been better to email me about the refund but nonetheless I appreciated that they had refunded without being asked.

At some stage, the first occasion occurred when I had not received the order a few days past the expected by date, and I could see no refund to my card. I emailed LHHW a couple of times at the address beginning with ‘info’ without a response. Subsequently, I noticed the address beginning with ‘customerservice’, and I forwarded the previous emails to that one.This time there was an immediate reply and a very pleasant exchange of emails followed. There had been delays picking the goods ordered, packing, etc. This was no problem for me-the problem was not being informed.

I deduced that LHHW must have quite a small number of employees; valuing their service and mission highly I decided that in future I would wait longer before emailing if the ‘expected by’ date had passed.

After this everything went well; usually, deliveries came well before or by the due date, and occasionally a few days later. The items always cost a fraction of their original value, saving me hundreds of pounds during a year.

The most recent orders (made on November 30 and December 1, 2023), received finally in the middle of January 2024, have been the only difficult ones, and if by chance they had been first ever orders I would have had great doubts about LHHW; fortunately, I had built up great confidence in LHHW over the previous years and felt that everything would be ok eventually.

The fault was 90% with Parcelforce; twice they had tried to deliver in January but left no ‘missed delivery’ note and I had no tracking code ; I had never paid attention to who sent me a tracking code in the past; now looking at the Parcelforce site, it clearly states that this is forwarded by the sender, which makes sense.

For the first time I had not received an email of despatch from LHHW (I had received the emails of ordering). And, after waiting patiently, when I emailed LHHW, there was no immediate response. Eventually there was. Only after I received (from LHHW) a printout of the missed deliveries I saw the tracking code at the bottom. This enabled me to rearrange a redelivery from Parcelforce; I asked Parcelforce why they hadn’t sent me an email before delivery, and they said that the sender hadn’t selected for that (I have that in writing -but that doesn’t ensure accuracy).

When the delivery came, there was, for the first time, one item missing (the tins of shortbread had run out); I was immediately refunded for this when I emailed LHHW.

I have never written such a long review before but in this case I felt it was important to write more extensively. Since I admire and value the service LHHW are doing a great deal I would be very sorry if they lost customers because of a bad experience. And I would like to help their customers to realise that the difficult experiences are far outweighed by the positive ones.

To customers, I would like to say please give LHHW the credit it highly deserves, and if you have had (like me) one or two difficult episodes do consider giving them another chance (after, of course, the resolution of any existing matter)—since in the long term it will benefit you. Please give them as much leeway as you can since just a few people provide us with a great service. We are humans and issues are bound to arise now and then-the important thing is that they are resolved asap. I give them five stars without hesitation.

No need to cry over spilt milk!

I've made a few orders with this company and have always been satisfied.
However in the most recent order a 1L carton of potato milk had offloaded its entire contents into the rest of the packaged box, damaging many of the other contents. After a lot of cleaning I was able to rescue much of the remaining packaged contents.
I let them know by email about the issue including photos of the damage and requested compensation which, to be absolutely fair, they responded positively and offered me a fair compensation by way of refund which I accepted.
Problems occur - I accept that - but it's how a company deals with a problem that is important to me and I can honestly say that they handled the situation professionally and fairly and so I shall be more than happy to order again - probably not milk though!

AVOID - NO delivery and NO replies

I thought a nearly 2-week delivery was long, but NO delivery and NO response despite chasing 3 times (allowing them time to reply).. this is either rude, incompetent or dishonest.

UPDATE: Since posting this - which Love Health tried to claim as invalid through Trustpilot, despite having my order number in the original post (!).. they have actually emailed and said they'll refund me and blamed their customer service person who they have fired. I'm not sure how you can blame all your incompetence on ONE person who is in customer service? But it just reinforces the unethical way that this company operates.

I'm going to speak with my bank and then approach trading standards because I don't have time to be sending any more emails only for them to be ignored.

I will also be getting as much of my friends, family and social media followers to report to trading standards because this is absolutely abhorrent business practices and we are a vulnerable household.

Still waiting for completion of order made on 16 Dec

I placed an order on 16 Dec. 1 of 2 boxes arrived on 21 Dec with damaged bottle leaking contents. The order should have been completed by 27 Dec. I am still waiting on delivery or a refund in relation to the bulk of my order contained in the 2nd box. I received notification from ParcelForce with a photograph of a damaged box deposited outside the garage door of a residential property on Wed 27 Dec at 14:05, informing me that the parcel had been returned to the Sender. I contacted ParcelForce who confirmed that the box was damaged and they had therefore returned it to the sender at the address photographed. I contacted LoveHealthHateWaste on 28 Dec via the only contact information available for them, i.e by email listed on their website, requesting a refund (the order is showing as having been completed in my account with the company). I have had no acknowledgement or response from them. My email seems to have disappeared into a black hole and the reviews about contacting this company are appalling. So now I have to contact my credit card company to raise a dispute to see if I can get my money back.

These lot are unprofessional

These lot are unprofessional. I've emailed them so many times as I placed an order which they've done god knows what with. A month has gone by. They have IGNORE emails and have KEPT my money.

They keep your money probably in the hope you will forget about it, thieves.

So if you actually deal with this issue and respond to emails, I will equally change my review, but as it stands, there has been 0 communication after 2 emails where I was simply asked to send a photo of the online description/image.

I believe Danielle - our customer service manager - has been communicating with you.

You purchased 1 box of spaghetti, with free shipping - we delivered this to you promptly, you refused the delivery and asked us to clarify what the product that you ordered was - before you would agree to collect this from the courier's depot. We provided this to you, but the parcel still was not collected.

We cannot refund your order until the goods have arrived back with us - this has not taken place yet given you refused the delivery and have not collected it from the delivery depot.

I hope this gives better insight into the situation for other readers.

I'm very sorry you feel disappointed but unfortunately we cannot do much more than promptly deliver the items you have ordered, and we can only refund returns when they have arrived back with us. This is common practice.

Took my money and have heard nothing since AVOID

Placed order 4 December and got an acknowledgment saying it would be delivered by 12th December. I’ve heard absolutely nothing from them since and they have failed to acknowledge or reply to three chase up emails. No phone number on web site. Going to ask credit card company to reverse the charge. Avoid this company

I totally love the Love Health Hate…

I totally love the Love Health Hate Waste concept and discovered a range of wonderful goodies along the way.
The only drawback is that delivery times can be fairly long, but the wait is worth the wait as the goodies are great and the savings are tremendous. I'm regularly checking the website to see what's on offer and would encourage you to do the same.
Also their customer service is really helpful.
