My experience with Hyde has been extremely disappointing. Over time, there appears to be a consistent pattern of high charges with limited transparency and insufficient justification.
Significant costs are presented to leaseholders with little meaningful engagement or clear breakdown of how figures are derived. Requests for clarification tend to be met with slow or incomplete responses, which makes it difficult to assess whether charges are reasonable or proportionate.
The overall impression is of an organisation more focused on revenue extraction than on fair and accountable property management. For leaseholders, this creates a sense of being locked into a system where costs escalate without adequate scrutiny or recourse.
I would strongly encourage anyone dealing with Hyde to carefully review all documentation, question all major expenditures, and seek independent advice where necessary.

This company have contracted with UK Car Park Management Ltd who have installed a camera and are now issuing parking fines to anybody entering the land behind some social housing in Elm Grove Southsea with no consideration of others who have a right of way over the land. No way of contacting them by phone and they don's respond to emails.

I am satisfied with the work done and tradesman was a nice guy. Had a few communication problems with Hyde in terms of getting the work done but it happened in the end, it took to long to get sorted and caused a lot of frustration and loss of money from taking time off work to be in for tradesman, O nly for them to not have parts or the trade man's being given wrong info of the works to be done.

I literally cannot comment enough on what an utter disgrace this company is. They do not reply to complaints, their builds are the shoddiest, cowboy new builds in the country and if you buy from them you’ll spend years correcting their mistakes.
They simply DON’T CARE!
Not only that - ANYONE in product quality is too scared to pick up a phone and actually take a phone call from someone - probably because they couldn’t employ enough staff to deal with the volume of complaints they receive!
To list a few of the problems I’ve had…
Leather jacket infestation present in the turf before installation.
Patio cracking and separating
Kitchen units falling apart.
Extractor fans not connected in the loft space
Kitchen extractor fan screwed into the cupboard sides?
Downstairs toilet leaking and fitted so close to the wall it can’t be worked on.
Windows falling apart
No drainage from en quite shower
The list goes on! They take no accountability, and their customer care is non-existent!
Avoid this lot like the plague!

If I could leave no stars I would, I purchased my new home in Novemeber 2025 and up to this point I could find no fault, Then in January 2026 I had a problem Hyde product quality have done everything to get out of fixing the repair. It has been brought to my attention the fault is through materials used not up to standard.
Another review Hyde are trying to get removed, sorry I am also another unhappy customer.
Sill waiting for someone to contact to discuss, but as normal christmas will probably come first.

UPDATE : SPOKE TO SOMEONE TODAY, WOULD CALL ME LATER FOLLOWING HER INVESTIGATION. GUESS WHO DIDN’T CALL. 2 DAYS SINCE HYDE REPLIED TO MY REVIEW AND STILL NO CONTACT. SEEMS ITS NOT JUST PRODUCT QUALITY THAT HAVE BAD SERVICE AND CUSTOMER CARE.
Disgusting service from product quality / repairs team. Deny repairs without seeing or speaking to the homeowner.Do not respond to questions raised, do not provide proof, external inspections take place without prior arrangements and not up to industry standards. Seriously damaging my mental health with the bully boy tactics avoid a Hyde home unless you are sure you have millionaires bank balance to back up all the problems with their builds. Be prepared for double standards between neighbours let alone on the estate. They do not fix mistakes made by their contractors and only listen to the contractors if it matches what they say.
They have now requested more information to try and get the review taken down as fraudulent. TOO BAD - THIS IS A REAL REVIEW FROM A REAL PERSON WHO HAS HAD THIS EXTREMELY REAL EXPERIENCE. Just goes to show HYDE for the cowards they really are, and the cowboy builders they work with.
As you can see I have received a response from Hyde I have been waiting to speak to someone since January so lets see what happens, I don't hold out much hope.

Me and my partner have just completed the purchase of our first family home at Whitstable Heights. Shenka has been absolutely amazing throughout. From the second I enquired about available properties, to even now after completion, nothing has ever been an issue for her and she’s always gone above and beyond.
We had an issue where we were awaiting gifted funds and she held the property for us until we got those funds which she didn’t have to do, and we also had some issues with the Finacial Advisor and Shenka pointed us in the direction of another financial advisor and that made the process so much easier, again which she didn’t have to do.
She’s an absolute asset to Hyde New Homes and I will be forever grateful to her for allowing us to buy our forever home!
