Absolute nightmare from December 2025 to April 2026 – Refund stolen, line sabotaged, and support useless

I am writing this review to express my extreme and ongoing dissatisfaction with Home-Connect. I have been dealing with continuous, disruptive service failures since 15 December 2025, and the way this company has handled the situation is nothing short of disgraceful.

The initial problem was with streaming services. After weeks of pointless troubleshooting, it was discovered my IP address needed reconfiguring. While that fixed the streaming, it triggered a cascade of new issues: I cannot send or receive pictures/videos on WhatsApp, messages take an eternity to send, I cannot view reels on Facebook/Instagram, and pages don’t load fully. To make matters worse, working from home this week revealed that WhatsApp on my laptop is completely non-functional.

Here is the biggest red flag: When I use my mobile phone as a router, EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY. This proves the fault lies squarely with Home-Connect. Yet after spending over an hour on the phone with an agent named Nomvula, I was told, with apparent disregard, that there was “nothing to resolve.”

I was ignored until I lodged a complaint with the ISPA. Only then did Home-Connect respond. When I requested to cancel my account due to this ongoing nightmare, they refused. Then, on 17 March, they released my line without notifying me – sabotaging my service entirely.

They promised to refund me for the extensive downtime. After numerous follow-ups, they assured me the refund would reflect last week. Today is Tuesday, 7 April 2026, and I am still fighting daily to get my money back.

This company has zero regard for customers. They refuse to fix issues, ignore legitimate cancellation requests, secretly deactivate lines, and lie about refunds. Do not sign up with Home-Connect unless you enjoy months of frustration and financial theft.

I would like to take a moment to…

I would like to take a moment to commend Khulekani for the outstanding service I received. From the very beginning, he was cool, calm and incredibly patient as I have already lost my cool because of no connection over the entire weekend. He guided me clearly through all the necessary steps to get my internet connection set up.
Thanks to bes professionalism and support my internet was up and running in no time. His friendly and efficient service made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Well done to Khulekani and thank you for such a kind and excellent customer service.

Exceptional Customer Care Experience with Khule

I had a wonderful experience with Khule! From the very beginning, service was professional, friendly, and attentive. Khule went above and beyond to assist me, making sure all my questions were answered as we we were busy troubleshooting. I felt supported throughout the process,he kept calling me through out the day until my router was delivered. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about delivering excellent service, and Khule truly stands out. I highly recommend mentioning Khule when leaving feedback—his dedication and kindness made my experience outstanding.

Christinah

I want to give specific recognition to Christinah at Home Connect, because she is the only reason I have any faith left in this company.

After dealing with seven different agents over a span of two weeks and getting absolutely nowhere, Christinah resolved more in five minutes than all of them combined. She was efficient, knowledgeable, decisive, and actually understood the issue instead of passing me around or giving scripted responses.

To be completely honest, Home Connect has the worst service I have ever experienced, slow, unhelpful, and incredibly frustrating. However, Christinah was a complete exception. She restored my faith in the company through pure competence and professionalism.

Christinah deserves a raise, and frankly, the other agents should be trained to her standard. If Home Connect had more people like her, their reputation would be entirely different.

Outstanding service from Christinah, she is an asset to the company.

Princess handled my matter with professionalism, respect and teansparency

Princess handled my matter with professionalism, integrity and trust. At no stage was i treated like an "idiot". When I explained the steps I took to test my issue, she immediately went to level 2 support so that I didn't have to redo anything.

She is a great employee and home connect has a gem. This is why I've trusted home connect for 10 years.

I also want to thank Innocent for acting in urgency in the matter. I received a call from Princess within 5 minutes of asking him for assistance.

These 2 employees are the star if the show.
