The only thing we where not happy about was windsor castle.
You where not allowed to make foto's.
If we had know that we would not have vised there.
That is the reason we would Never reconmend going there.
Stonehege was very nice olso was Bath.

The bus stopp was not easy to find, there was no „welcome on board“ or anything that made it feel special,
when everyone got on their seat, the front row upstairs was reserved but no one sat there, my monitor did not work, there was no air conditioning so we couldn’t see anything through the windows, 4 h timeslot for visiting the studio tour was too short. And because of these reasons it was way to expensive.
I was very disappointed and should have taken the tube + free shuttle.

We booked the New Year's Eve on the Celestial Cruise through Golden Tours for our family (including our 12-year-old son), excited for his dream of seeing the London fireworks from a boat on the Thames. The voucher and promotions promised a deluxe individual basket (with champagne/Prosecco, bagels, and snacks), live music, smart casual dress code (no jeans/trainers), comfortable seating, boarding from 9:00 PM, and return around 1:00 AM.
Unfortunately, none of that matched the reality:
No deluxe baskets or meals were provided (staff were confused when asked and dismissed it).
No soft drinks for our child.
We waited over an hour in the cold outside (arrived on time but boarding delayed until nearly 10:00 PM).
Dress code ignored (lots of jeans/trainers), no proper seating/tables available, and some inappropriate staff behavior/music by the end.
Returned late (~1:30 AM).
It ruined what should have been a special family night. Golden Tours apologised for the missing basket and other issues, and after several emails, they agreed to a 50% refund—which we've accepted to close the matter. However, the experience was far from what was sold, and the whole process was frustrating.
I hope sharing this helps other families avoid similar disappointment or get fair resolution if things go wrong.

Unfortunately there were protests around Trafalgar Square, so diversions were in place. We were not advised when we booked (the same day) buses did not run at correct times, there was no commentary, & we constantly were told by the drivers to get on another bus, & then had to wait whilst the new bus driver had a break (35 minutes, twice) considering we paid almost £110 for 4 tickets it was not worth it at all.

We booked the Harry Potter studio tour with bus service from King’s Cross. Communication was clear, the bus staff were friendly and the bus was clean and comfortable. Our tickets were waiting for us on arrival and we had clear instructions how to get our coach back into London. Excellent organisation.

As a special treat for my son,we booked premium seats. This was described as sitting upstairs at the front with wonderful views of London as we travelled to Harry Potter studios.The reality was not good. The bus is clearly used for tour guide tours. We were sat upstairs at the front, but at eye level were 2 screens very large blocking any view that was possible.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!! We are from Australia and travelling to Europe is a 24 hour journey, we have a lot to see and Golden Tours has tainted our trip. We are in London for 10 nights and booked the tour to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Oxford and we only got to see Stonehenge. The bus had a mechanical issue shortly after leaving Stonehenge at 11:30am and we were taken back to the visitor centre there. We were told we would get on the other bus waiting next to us, half an hour later that bus leaves. So we then proceeded to spend until 1pm on the bus being gaslit that “another bus” from Windsor Castle with people on it was going to be our tour bus for the rest of the day. Really it was just a cover for them to waste time until a replacement bus from London could come up to pick us up. Come 1pm there’s still no bus and won’t be at Stonehenge until 2:20pm. We had to then spent almost 2 hours in the shi**y visitor centre waiting for this “imaginary bus” which proceeded to rock up at 3pm (ANOTHER 40 MINS LATER). Meanwhile, the tour guide was gaslighting all the passengers making it seem like this wasn’t a big inconvenience, sorry what? We were STRANDED for over 3 hours and wasted our day, and they are making it incredibly difficult to get a refund. They only want to refund for the Windsor and Oxford portion of the tour, but we have now wasted a WHOLE DAY of our precious trip here in London because of their mismanagement and their incompetence to ensure their buses are fit for the service they are offering. I would not recommend this to ANYONE (even my worst enemy) and I’m incredibly angry as it was not cheap either.

Bus was advertised as branded with individual screens ( when available ) in small print but branded bus splashed over details. Very misleading and disappointing as neither of the buses we travelled in had either. In the details at the pickup stop it is described as branded !! Very disappointed children it did spoil the experience. Warner Bros was not disappointing

The Stonehenge, Bath and Windsor Castle day tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Bruce was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor, making history come alive at every stop. He brilliantly connected each site’s unique architecture and stories to popular movies and TV shows, which made everything even more engaging. The driver Armando was also excellent, very smooth and steady throughout the journey. A truly wonderful day trip experience!

I’m very disappointed with this experience and with how the complaint was handled afterwards.
The tour itself ran, but the advertised “Christmas singalong” was misleading. There was no host, no guided or participatory singalong of any kind — just recorded Christmas music playing on the bus. Had this been described plainly as an unguided bus tour with background music, I would not have booked.
What’s more frustrating is what followed. I raised this directly with Golden Tours and attempted to resolve it reasonably and in good faith, allowing extended time for responses due to the festive period. They refused a refund and offered only a token 10% “goodwill” gesture.
I then escalated via PayPal, only for PayPal to close the case automatically on a strict time limit, without any human review of the facts, because more than 30 days had passed since the date of the tour — despite ongoing communication with the seller.
⚠️ Important warning to others: if you book an experience like this and have any issue, log a PayPal dispute immediately, even if you’re trying to resolve it directly. Waiting — even reasonably — means PayPal will refuse to review it at all.
Overall, the experience did not match its description, and the lack of flexibility or accountability afterwards was deeply disappointing.
