Helpful staff team and good for bypassing VPN blocks, but also slow and confusing software

I made subsfription of 3 years for 50 euros.
I was charged immediately of 50 spound sterling ( GB) which means 58,28 euros.
I canceled the subscription, the support team that they will refund only 50 euros in 14 days.
How to say that their business practices is not legal?
Need to contact easygov.swiss to relate their behaviour .

I paid 28 april and there are major problems for new customors. Customers who signed up for service are unable to log into the VyprVPN application. No solution yet.

Price:
The price of the service is good. I paid €50,- for 3 years.
Registration process:
I used SEPA as payment method. I was not warned about the impact of that choice on how long it would take for the vyprvpn service to be available. The confirmation emails I received suggested that vyprvpn would be immediately available.
When I contacted the service desk, I received a scripted answer twice which showed that the service desk did not investigate what the problem was. Only after several times of insistence on my part did I receive an answer to my question whether it was perhaps due to the payment method.
In addition, it is very annoying that you keep getting an automated email that your call will be closed while your problem has not been solved.
Connection:
Since a few days I’m connected. So far the VPN (connection / speed) looks good.
App:
Looks fine at first sight.
The android app has the option to disable the VPN per application. I have not (yet?) been able to find this on the windows app
Suggested improvements:
- Support 'ideal' as a payment method in the Netherlands.
- When choosing SEPA payment, clearly indicate that the vyprvpn service is only available when the payment has been received and verified by your company.
- Include an automatic check in the helpdesk process (based on the user account) whether it concerns a new customer and whether the payment has already been received.
- Add the ‘connection by app’ functionality to the windows app fast (if it is not there yet).

Vypr works & great after sales service
I installed Vypr VPN and it worked fine. For some reason it had a flaw one day, this can happen.
The after sales service on an email basis turned out to be effective, the bug was fixed by following a multi step installations of an adjunctive app plus re-installation of the VyprVPN app itself. Result: Bug has been removed, app is back to normal and running.
Bottom line: Great after service with close follow up by the service team on an email basis. This requires meticulous reading an following the provided instructions which was fine for me, but may be a challenge for people with even less tech affinity.
So I give full 5 stars, the 6th star when...
Can only be beaten by an instant phone based service which leads one through all necessary steps by taking you by hand.
Thank you.

The Vpn is keep disconnecting every 4 hours, on another computer I get the message You appear to be offline even if I turn off my antivirus, and firewall. I don't recommend. For my next subscription I will look for another Vpn company

Charged multiple times without written notice or any written contract.
Overpriced VPN offering poor customer service and little support for Ubuntu users, who are charged the same as Windows and Mac users, but can't use wireguard or VyprVPN private DNS service.Their Android kills switch also doesn't work properly. They threatened to cut off my service a week after I paid for another year because I had (apparently) made a mistake or their control panel and changed my plan. It took a lot of time and effort on my part to get this fixed and their customer service wasn't very helpful in this instance (nor in fact at any other time I had dealing with them). I like their no log policy, but there are other, cheaper and more reliable VPN provider who offer this too. After a few years with them, I have moved to Express VPN. I honeslty can't recommend them.
Extremely bad VPN, disconnects everytime after 6 hours which makes the whole VPN pointless servers are decent but this makes it unusable.

Vypr VPN performance was degrading and intermittent/ unusable in China, so I elected to go to Express VPN which has been flawless. Been with about 5 companies over the years and I highly recommend Express VPN.
In 2019, I tried to cancel the Vypr service and auto pay. I could not find the online cancellation method; it was buried somewhere on their "two different website shell game" platforms (how convenient). So I sent a cancellation email to support. Two days later they sent me an "aw come on, do you really want to cancel" email. I was infuriated at this point and demanded immediate cancellation without further dialogue and a refund. I assumed at that point that my demand would be met but---Two more days passed and they sent another email asking me for the last four numbers of my credit card (which they obviously had on file because they were still billing for a service that was not functional). I found that third 2019 email in 2020 when they charged my credit card AGAIN! They billed to an old credit card that I put in the dormant card file, and I was notified by my credit card company that their $99.99 charge to my old card had acquired two months of late fees (now $172).
Back and forth with Vypr customer support again 10 times, trying to get them to do the right thing and refund both 2019 and 2020. For the 2019 refund, they tried peddling some crap about how their card processor could not process a refund, they have limited resources to answer support questions in a timely fashion, their third request for my credit card number was for verification and my protection. In fact, they were doing all they could to avoid processing the cancellation and continue their fraudulent charging policy (for my protection, yeah right). I went back to the credit card company and filed a fraudulent charge report for the 2020 charge, and after it was honored, I contacted them again and said "hey, by the way they also charged me in 2019". The credit card company refunded a total of $272- two years of unauthorized Vypr charges and late fees. They also changed my card number so I don't ever have to worry about Vypr again. DON'T DO IT!!
Interesting that there are other reviews that report the same issue as I have. Also interesting that the credit card company refunded my money immediately without going through an extended dispute review process. Also interesting the the credit card company immediately recommended that I change my card number. Vypr must have quite the history of auto pay fraud for my credit card company to react so quickly.

Excellent service,
Most of the servers will max out your connection, no issues.
There support is awesome.
Highly recommend!

Abysmal, this company is a SCAM, Avoid at all costs.
They lock your account even if you have remaining time, if there is any problem with your payment.
I have 11 months remaining and they blocked my account because they couldn't charge my card.
*UPDATE: I have a prepaid 12 month program active in my account, which they blocked, and after contacting support they claim "i changed my plan" which i never did and they are trying to charge more money.
Your support is also terrible. What i was really expecting?

I'm very happy to use VyprVPN.
It's provided me a very fast and stable connection (with P2P supported). Although a bit sad that Thailand's location is a virtual server (it looks like they are using Singapore IDC for Thailand location).
Anyway, it's still great as the speed and latency is still low :)
I also love their application that looks the same and modern across all devices I had. (macOS, iOS, and Android TV).
Sad again that "Connection Per App" feature is only available on macOS and Android. I don't know why they not going to implement it across the platform too.
Their customer supports are nice, I try to talk with them often with many questions in mind and they handle them nicely no one looks angry to me :P
Overall experience is great (until now), let me put 5/5 for this review and will be back to update if I've experienced bad things that they could not resolved.

Total scam.
In March of 2016 I signed up for VyprVPN's service on a "risk-free trial" basis; I had three days to cancel for any reason. A few minutes after subscribing, I realized the service did not meet my needs so I immediately cancelled. Three days later my credit card was charged $79.99. I brought the error to their attention and received multiple dodges, hedges, excuses, etc, like "tell us what the problem is", "why do you wish to cancel?...." around and around for FIVE MONTHS and they never did give me a straight answer. Or a refund.
Just this month (April 2020!), I realized they have continued to charge me annually for the subscription I had cancelled! They never sent an automatic renewal notice and I did not use that particular card often so I was not alerted to these charges. Now I am trying to get a refund for the $399.95 in unauthorized charges, but they are stonewalling with red herring arguments that do not respond to the points I am making, despite the email evidence from 2016 that I had (i) cancelled the service and (ii) repeatedly requested a refund. To date, they have only agreed to refund the most recent charge of 79.99, leaving me $320 in the hole.
At the very least, Golden Frog is a sloppy company that does not take responsibility for their errors. More likely - given the lack of automatic renewal notifications and their refusal to respond to clear evidence or own up to their mistakes - they operate on a scam business model. Steer clear!

Best VPN protocol but the software is complete garbage. It straight up belongs in the trash.
You have to reinstall it like every week because it get stuck at disconnecting. Support told thats normal and i just need to reinstall it. I reinstalled it 5 times today and I still encounter different problems. I'm mad f this im gonna use NordVPN again.
EDIT:
Their marketing is also kinda scam. They say you have like 18h left for this SPECIAL SUPER AWESOME AMAZING CHEAP offer. Fact is though that you have unlimited time. I know a lot of VPN providers do that but its still scam in my eyes. I did not pay a penny for this garbage software. I received it in a Humble Bundle.
EDIT2:
The android app doesn't even work on my Samsung S9 and the support couldn't help me.............

We have had Vypr for several years now.
Having used Vypr in the UK, Greece, Portugal, Spain and Sweden we can confirm it works from many locations, watching uk tv abroad, no problem.
No problems, have had to switch to their Chameleon protocol in recent times due to what appears to be internet service provider deep packet inspection use throttling vpn use when streaming - works a treat 😀
Contacted support over an issue - quick response received.
I have a family member who uses a top rated (normally number 1 rated in reviews) vpn provider looking to switch to vypr having used vypr on one of our devices.
Vypr seems to lose points for not accepting crypto currency, no issue to us.
My renewal will be due soon, not looking to switch, is that a good enough recommendation?
Negatives:
Speeds may not reach headline figures and do slow our connection but sometimes speeds it up - not headline speeds but always usable for streaming in our experience.
Windows interface which I rarely use seems less slick than android.
Not a negative:
Cat and mouse seems to be the game in vpn v website vpn bocking - make sure you turn off your device location as some apps use this not the vypr ip address - check app permissions, use chameleon and problems connecting should be limited.

Do NOT deal with this company. Bought it - it never did work to properly to mask my IP when out of country, despite numerous attempts to get support. Support is purposely evasive - no one gives you straight answer - which is that the TV services I use obviously know the VPN IPs and therefore block them.
Canceled the service well before the renewal date - but nonetheless they billed me anyway - claimed they couldn't see request to cancel - even though they emailed me back repeatedly after I canceled asking 'what could they do to make it work for me?' etc. Then when I asked for refund they also played the 'what problem are you having? we can help.... etc.' - when my only problem was wanting to get a refund. After 3-4 emails and threats to write bad reviews, which I'm doing anyway - I did finally get the refund, however I lost money on it, due to the credit card foreign exchange rates (I'm in Canada).
Stay away from this company and their service. I don't think they'll be around long anyway.

My term with Golden Frog's VyprVPN was due for renewal July 31, 2020 but today, 9 months early, they charged my paypal account the renewal fee with no warning and no justification. They are stalling me in terms of a refund despite me giving all the appropriate documentation. One uses a VPN to protect yourself, but who knew that you need to protect yourself from the VPN company improperly charging your Paypal account.
Unacceptable and slimy behavior.
Be Wary!
Their communication is almost non-existent - they did not disclose the duration of the service and when they would be billing - they claimed to invoice but no invoice was received and I checked my spam folder. Just really poor communication for a company supposed to be about security. They handled this terribly!

Had the best customer service ever.
The customer service employee at the live chat was really helpful and tried hard to help me. I have not seen such dedication in a long time with servicedesk people, great job! VPN was also good, with good steady connections around the globe.

Good service, just wish some sites wouldn't block their IPs. Support is helpful but not really personable. I foolishly enacted my 30 day refund months back to try another provider that ended up having more issues with blocked IPs and poor Netflix streams. My refund was fast, but they've got my money again. The 2nd times the charm right?
