16panels 10kw battery installed in Wicklow

Had installed earlier this week 16 panels and a 10kw battery (external) - and just like to say great service - all internal wires hidden to the fuse box and the system just works :-)
Meghan was awesome and managed all the paperwork for us and asked us all the right questions before progessing.
I have been looking for years for the right installer and this just felt right.
thanks GoKonnext and I would 100% recommend to anyone considering solar.

I recently had a 16‑panel solar system with an inverter and a 10 kW battery installed by GoKonnect, and I am absolutely delighted with the results. The installation was completed in just one day, and Rob and his team were extremely professional, friendly, and thorough in explaining how everything worked. The workmanship was exceptionally tidy and completed to a very high standard.
Meghan, the GoKonnect secretary, was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Her communication, guidance, and support made the entire process smooth and completely stress‑free.
Their after‑sales support has been equally impressive. They helped me set up the system so I can charge the battery on the night rate when needed, and they also assisted me in connecting everything to my phone. I can now easily monitor my solar production and battery performance day‑by‑day through the SolisCloud app, which has been incredibly useful. The system is already performing brilliantly.
From beginning to end, GoKonnect delivered a seamless, efficient, and exceptionally well‑supported experience. I am thrilled with my system and would highly recommend GoKonnect to anyone considering solar panels.

Predatory: Demanded €250 for a 2-minute software fix

UPDATE (Response to Owner):
The owner’s response confirms exactly what I said: they demand €250 for a software sync that they admit could be done "remotely for a small fee."

To clarify:

* Technical Access: The owner claims they have "no access," yet says they could fix it remotely if I paid a subscription. You can't have it both ways. This is a deliberate "software lock" on hardware I own.

* The "2-hour drive": We are located in the same region. Claiming a 2-hour drive to justify €250 is a transparent exaggeration.

* Professionalism: Instead of solving a 2-minute technical glitch, the owner resorts to name-calling ("Abusive") for the second time.

I have the emails showing I was polite and simply asked for my equipment to function. Potential customers: look at the owner's tone here and decide if this is the "support" you want for your home security.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but after stopping my subscription, GoKonnect showed their true colors. When a system error appeared due to **them **disabling the cellular signal, I asked for a simple 2-minute remote sync to clear it. Instead of helping, they demanded €250 for a technician visit.

When I shared my experience on Google, the owner responded with personal attacks, calling me 'abusive' instead of addressing the issue. I have full email screenshots proving their unprofessionalism and the €250 demand—you can see these proofs on my Google Maps review. >
A company that holds your hardware hostage for extortionate fees is not a company you can trust with your home security.

We responded to this lady on Google with full details - Please read below, we stand by it fully - €250 was for an enginner to drive to her home which included time onsite - this could have been handled remotely for a small monthly fee had she not opted out of that service months before - Read the full break down below

"Litl had an alarm system with us it’s not related to a solar system.. she advised us she did not want to pay to have the app control control & any services related to being able to support her remotely which was a small monthly fee… she was very abusive to Our Team then… and extremely unreasonable… also she was never in a contract with us for support either

we terminated her acccount with Alarm.com meaning we don’t have any technical access to her account remote.. she was told this when we deactivated the account hence why she was paying to have that support as well as the functionality of the app


—- months later she had a tech issue and emailed support DEMANDING, we be able to fix this remotely.. when advised we don’t have access and she can pay her monthly subscription or pay for an enginner to drive 2 hours to her and help the fee was €250 which she mentioned.. we would be happy to help as advised, we got more demands that we should be able to help and demanding that she should not pay for anything!!!!

we pride ourselves on our remotelsupport but if someone doesn’t not want to pay for a system to provide that service there is very little anyone can do for them - alarm.com is a paid service and she knew that signing up we didn’t turn of her cellular data either as we had no access to the system for months - this review is not a true reflection

Borderline fraud

I used this company due to a low monthly price on alarm and an ability to switch “monitored” option on and off. It was good in price. Their “monitored” option was terrible as they would call you 30 minutes after alarm went off to ask if it was you, but it existed. For comparison. They were selling the equipment at 3X its market price. So it was an “investment”.

Than one day a company raised a price twice for some absurd reason of “we were giving some of additional services to all customers without verifying, this is not sustainable, now you all are going to pay for these optional services”.

That's the most disgusting behaviour you can see in an EU company.

Full Support

Delighted I decided to go with GoKonnect. I started of with alarm and smart lock system and have now recently had a full solar system with batteries installed. Their solar school emails provided excellent information. Everyone in the team has been very supportive in assisting me in calibrating it to my needs. Tech support response has been fast and effective. Would happily recommend GoKonnect👍

Energy safe alternative

I decided to avail of their services after reviewing fellow competitors and got the full pkg of panels battery and invertor fitted with minimium fuss and in and out within 5 hrs very helpful all questions answered and queries after wards all sorted especially the APP on your phone

Quick, tidy installation, good support.

Solar panels were installed in a day, very tidy work.

A comms cable was faulty, and GoKonnect helped me find the problem and fix it myself.

I got lots of support via email to allow me to charge the battery at night rate when I want to, or not when thrre is enough sunshine.

Disappointing

The customer service of this company is appalling. The email responses are poorly written and, moreover, rude and dismissive (as evidenced in the reply below). In my case, they did not install their equipment properly in the first instance but refused to take responsibility for this, instead passing on the cost of shoddy workmanship to the customer. Nothing worked properly right from the beginning of my contract and I reported this is a timely manner which, of course, they refuted.

Thank you for the review.. We can mention that the developer of your home purchased your smart home security system as part of your build, we installed the system along wth a high number of homes across multiple sites for that developer over the course of 5 years, without any concern for workmanship.

You are not and were never in any maintenance or monitoring contract with us, you did however pay only for your app control and cloud storage. You did not sign up to any support, professional monitoring, warranty cover any any stage.

We installed your system in your home, and to say none of it works is not true our back-data can confirm on installation the system was fully operational.. the topic of hand here is of a doorbell camera that was working and for whatever reason lost power. it continues to work intermittently, we asked to check the wiring on itself, which we didn't do, we only integrated to it, We advised that this is not covered under any maintenance plan or contract as you did not avil of one, and we advised we could specifically book an engineer to drive 3 hours to your home but it would have a very low modest call out charge you refused to pay this, after some over and back we said in jan 2025 we would send an engineer around free of charge when we have him in the area which you accepted, we have not had an engineer yet in your area and as you didn't want to pay for call out you where on the waiting list.

we heard from you again this week, we advised the same and you didnt like that once again. our team advised this was final and you decided to leave a review which we are fine with. we offered you the option to help, our team was never rude but firm on the options and we do apologize our support team who have fantastic customer relations skills haven't got PHD's in writing as you mentioned

Unresolved Issues, Unprofessional Attitude: Not Recommended

We received their services for many years; despite ongoing issues with the app, we were generally satisfied. However, after a recent device malfunction and no satisfactory solution, we decided to end our contract—something that can happen with any provider. To my surprise, their response was highly unprofessional, focusing on justifying their own costs and even bad-mouthing competitors instead of addressing our concerns. Rather than understanding of our experience, at the very least, the message was dismissive and critical of our expectations as customers. This response only confirmed that moving on was the right choice.

To add some context to your review, The issue was your smart lock had malfunctioned after 5 years, we did offer a solution of sending an engineer out to look at it and potentially replace it, as this was not covered under a warranty or service plan, there was a charge to call to your home, this, unfortunately, was something you where not willing to pay, when we explained costs attached and why we had to charge, you proceed to advise you where not all of a sudden not happy with our service, Unfortunately, then you mentioned other companies offering new customers sign up promotions of no costs and we explained potential issues with that, which you did not like.... the issue here is you didn't want to pay the small fee to have an expert call to your home and you where unhappy that we wouldn't do it for free and explained it as it was, we accepted your termination request and we are happy to move forward.

They know...Security. However

I usually shop around for a while before I buy or use any service. I stumbled on GoKonnect on instagram and kept it bookmarked. Eventually I decided to pull the trigger on a security system and seeing that other places were just not doing it for me, I settled on GoKonnect.
They catered a system for me and I added a few features I wanted myself. I got a remote door lock which means I can open my door from anywhere in the world for people and lock it too. The reason why I gave 4 stars was my own mistake because I only got the door sensors fitted I wanted windows sensors too but they quoted me like 75€ each which, is a bit......you know. steep.
There is a limit on the amount of uploads from your doorbell cam, and if the wind activates it it records.
Now even though you delete the videos to keep the space (you are paying for) they still tell you, you are over the limit. This is annoying considering i delete the videos to keep the space that I am paying 5Euro for. Ahh well I will see down the line how this irons out. But all in all 3-4 stars does the job.
