As a wheelchair user, I cannot recommend Glenmore enough! They fix my chairs and get me back on the road in no time at all. Really appreciate their skills and knowledge!

Much gratitude to the staff of Glenmore Mobility Bathgate.…
Desperate to quickly source a quality recliner chair for my beloved dad, I phoned Glenmore Mobility in Bathgate on Monday. A lovely, lady called Anne patiently listened to what I felt I needed for dad and after taking a few key details about dad's height and weight she explained that she would do her best to find a comfortable and appropriate chair to meet his needs. Thinking I would have to wait several weeks I was utterly delighted when she said that she would arrange for three possible models of chair to arrive two days later. I spoke with her again yesterday afternoon and she confirmed that she had, indeed, found three chairs which she believed would match my requirements. This afternoon, exactly at the time Anne had intimated I received a call from their salesman Michael to say that they were on their way.
Michael and James who arrived were without question, true gentlemen. They treated my parents with the utmost respect and consideration. Michael clearly and patiently explained the workings of the chair to us several times and he and James helped us rearrange the room. Both these gentlemen were exemplary: they were warm and compassionate in their dealings with my parents but never patronising nor condescending. When they left I was overwhelmed with gratitude when I saw how perfect the chair was for dad and how very comfortable he felt at long last. I feel compelled to write this review to express my heartfelt thanks to Anne, Michael and James for the magnificent service they provided. In my opinion, Glenmore Mobility is a superb Scottish company with a caring and professional team of workers. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending them to others .

84 Yr old sleeps on floor, they charge £500 for that and now WE WON OUR COURT CASE AGAINST THEM and that cost them £648 for refusing to return our £500
My wife purchased a bed from the Bathgate shop for her mother who is in a care home, this was after she was assured that "any hoist would fit under the bed" therefore the care home's hoist would fit under the bed. However after the bed was delivered it was tested by the staff who informed my wife that their hoist would not fit under the bed and as a result her mum would have to sleep on the floor. We contacted Glenmore to have the bed uplifted and after a week or so it was duly uplifted. When we contacted them about a refund of the £2,000, we were advised that this would be subject to the £500 deduction as stated on the invoice, this despite the fact that the goods were not fit for purpose. Michael called my wife to ask to come in to process the refund, she was presented with a document stating this would be for £1,500 and was "full and final settlement" needless to say we scored those words out before signing the document. He later phoned threatening to deliver the bed to the care home as we'd signed a contract for it, despite the fact that it was a stock item. Along with other reviews here, if everything goes well great, but if you have a problem then they are not interested and in fact result to threatening and devious means to keep some of your money. It's a lottery dealing with this company and I would avoid them at all costs. I will never forget me 84 year old mum suffering from dementia sleeping on the floor and them wanting to keep £500 of her money for nothing, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, they have zero customer care.
27/4/22 - Reading their response, which says we got an electric bed from the care home is just lies, my mum is back in her old bed as we've been put off getting her a new one after the really bad experience from this company with lies, threats and blackmail. It doesn't even address the fact that the bed was returned because the lifting hoist wouldn't fit under it. I would not trust anyone from this company as far as I could throw them.
7/8/22; We managed to get 75% of the cost back from our bank but the lies these people told to the bank beggars belief, e.g they said my mum soiled the bed, despite the fact that my mum had never slept in the bed and this was corroborated by the care home manager. I've never came across such untrustworthy people in all my life, they shouldn't be working in a business dealing with aged and infirm Customers.
We eventually got the balance of the purchase price via the small claims court plus costs.
They now have a county court judgement against them.

Highly recommended
The staff at Glenmore Mobility have all been most helpful when we have needed various aids over the last couple of years.
Most recently we hired a riser/recliner chair for two weeks for my husband to try, it was delivered very promptly and taken upstairs, moving another chair to make room for it. As it was difficult for him to get to the showroom, when we considered buying one, they brought a couple of chairs to see which best suited his needs and offered to take the hire charge off the price of the chair we decided to buy. It is British made, has a 5-year guarantee, and he is very pleased with it. We would certainly recommend this company.
Wheel chair hire
Took a wheelchair to Edinburgh 26 Sept ,to help my wife get around, the wheelchair front wheels came off the rim so needed to hire a wheelchair at a moments notice.
Did a Google search to find a place to hire a wheelchair and came across Glenmore Mobility, gave them a call and arranged to pick up a chair in 1 hour at a very reasonable price for a 3 day hire.
Spoke to Steve and went to pick up the wheelchair from their Edinburgh shop.
The service was excellent from Glenmore, without their help we would have had to do very little as my wife has problems walking.
Thank you Glenmore for making our break a lot more enjoyable.
Keep up the good work.

I needed to hire a wheelchair at very short notice and the staff at Glenmore Mobility, Edinburgh were very helpful in arranging this for me. They also provided a good demo on how to use/fold the wheelchair.
I wish I had heard of these guys…
I wish I had heard of these guys before. My mother lives 150 miles away and is housebound but I was able to take a wheelchair on approval so we could check it fitted her. They did such a good job assessing her needs from afar that it was just great....and I simply returned unneeded cushion.
My Experience in the Edinburgh Shop
Yesterday I went to the Edinburgh shop to decide on a mobility scooter for myself. I explained that I would not commit to a purchase that day. I was trying to say that that was because I wanted 24 hours to think over what for me would be a major financial purchase, but the aggressive loud-mouthed saleswoman interrupted me and told me that I was in no way ready to buy a mobility scooter, and that when I was ready I should come back, SHE would do an assessment of my needs and SHE would tell me what scooter I should test drive and buy. I said that I needed to discuss the financial set-up before I got as far as test-driving anything - eg is it full payment upfront or is there a monthly payment scheme, if so over how many years, what is the rate of interest etc. These are all questions which can be answered generally without reference to a particular scooter, but using an average guideline figure which can then be refined when a scooter is chosen. But the aggressive loud-mouthed saleswoman said she would not discuss the financial side of things with me until I had test driven a scooter. By now I had decided that this was a company with which I wanted no dealings, and so I left the shop.
When I used to train sales staff I always tried to impress on them the importance of listening to the customer. Not only did this aggressive loud-mouthed saleswoman not listen to what I said was important to me, I suspect she barely listened to me at all, as I never got to finish a sentence without her interrupting me. Provided the finances were manageable, I was ready to decide on a scooter, and merely wanted 24 hours to think it over to avoid being pressured into an instant commitment. Instead I have taken 24 hours to think about whether to post a public review, as I would not like anyone to lose their job because of me - even aggressive loud-mouthed salespeople can have nice people in their lives who are dependent on their earnings. But I have read the other reviews on Trustpilot, and there is a consistent thread running through them of people finding Glenmore an unpleasantly arrogant company to deal with. So I am sure that this review will not affect the career prospects of the staff member concerned. It seems that Glenmore have chosen to adopt a business model of behaving in a bullying manner to disabled people, and I shall be giving my business to another company.

Service from GLENMORE was excellent
Service from GLENMORE was excellent, they advised on a riser recliner chair , found suitable chair and delivered options to care home . Had the chair we needed in the carehome within 3 days. Staff could not have been more helpful.
Chair Parts
I required a specific handset to try and fix my grandmother's mobility chair. I contacted the Dalry shop in Edinburgh and Keith was extremely helpful and polite. Whilst not a chair they supply, he went above and beyond to find a replacement part and at a reasonable price. Outstanding service and would highly recommend.
My husband has difficulty walking far
My husband has difficulty walking far. So Edinburgh was going to be a challenge. We called Glenmore on the morning and Steve was very helpful and arranged to have a scooter charged and ready to go when we arrived at Haymarket in Edinburgh. As rhis was the first time of using one they gave him a quick lesson so that he felt happy and secure in using the scooter. You made my husband's day. We even made it up to the castle. Thank You for all your help. I would recommend Glenmore and there team. 29th Sept 2020
Great service from Glenmore
Great service from Glenmore. Bought a bed for my gran for coming out hospital. Everything was set up for us. Hassle free and kept their word. Would definitely recommend.
Very happy with the service and advice
Very happy with the service and advice. As a worker in social care environment I am always happy to reccomend Genmore to my clients.
Outstanding service in a difficult time
I contacted Glenmore at their Bathgate shop regarding the urgent purchase of an electric rise and recline bed for my father who was due to be released from hospital
We spoke to girl who took some details regarding my dad and said she would call us back
2 hours later the Manager from the Edinburgh shop called to say they would manage to have the bed delivered and set up the following day at a time to suit us , we decided to go ahead as it was urgent
The following day the 2 delivery guys arrived wearing protective attire and delivered the bed and we didn't have to do a thing, they removed the old bed and to my astoishment they asked for the hoover to clean before installing the new bed
My father who is now at home and our family can only thank all the staff at Glenmore for their patience, advice and concern shown
Especially at this unusual time
Regards to you all and stay safe
Unacceptable Customer Service
Early January my dad purchased a reclining chair for himself and a chair for my mum costing a substantial amount of money. The chairs were to take 12 weeks .My dads chair arrived and he was pleased with it however there was a problem with my mums chair something about material out of stock.Covid hit and lockdown followed but no communication was received from Glenmore as to how this would effect the order. My mum became ill on 27th April with Kidney Failure and i contacted Keith at Dalry road Edinburgh to advise him of the situation and that my mum was unlikely to recover. I spoke with the Dalry shop on a couple of occasions regarding this on behalf of my dad i relayed that the chair was really no longer required and was offered £400 refund on a £795 chair.we decided not to accept this offer as would rather have the chair than loose nearly £400.We heard nothing further until a letter came dated 22/5/20 the day after my mum passed away thanking us for our patience and offering us a loan item until furniture was delivered! Whilst i appreciate that the current circumstances surrounding covid is outwith the companies control and whilst i appreciate that it was a bestoke chair i find it unacceptable that it took 5 months for a letter to be sent ,5 months for an offer of a loan chair which i might add would have benefited my mum greatly in her final three weeks and unacceptable that an 83 year old man would loose £400 to cancel .
I am not sure how my father will react when this chair finally arrives but i can only imagine he will be devastated.

I cannot speak more highly of Glenmore…
I cannot speak more highly of Glenmore Mobility. After a rapid deterioration in my mother's health which meant that other services couldn't keep pace, I was able to hire a hospital bed and riser-recliner chair at extremely short notice from Glenmore Mobility. They were able to deliver it in record time and then made sure to collect it on the day that the more permanent equipment was arriving so that my house wasn't too full of furniture. The guys could not have been more kind or helpful. I strongly recommend them to anyone finding themselves in a similar position.
All staff very Arrogant to deal with.
This is an edited review of Glenmore Mobility and is truthful and factual. We had major issues with this company who wanted to charge us £500 more than what the item cost actually was and would not listen to reason. I was spoken to like a piece of dirt by the manager of Bathgate branch who called me a liar and was the cause of the whole problem in the first place, no apology from her ever received, a very arrogant opinionated woman that i would advise not to deal with.
Then theres Keith Laing, not a lot i can say about this "man" apart from someone who really needs to learn to listen to a customer rather than trying to intimidate people in there own home. For the owner of a company who all in all deals with disabled people, he has an arrogant manner and believes wrongly that him and his "staff" are always right. We eventually got this matter resolved by the finance manager who admitted in writing that this was there mistake and apologised. No compensation or goodwill gesture for all the threats that were made by there staff and the embarassment of 3 men coming to my door in my opinion with one intention, to intimidate. We were put through hell with this company and want to warn other users, beware of buying from this crowd without getting the price upfront in writing and when you get your goods check that what you have is what your paying for. Most importantly if things go wrong, dont be intimidated by there small minded senior staff. I had the cheek to be asked to take this review down!
Wheelchair hire.
i needed a wheelchair for a weekend in Edinburgh (for a wedding) with my mother with mobility problems. Glenmore resolved all my problems. A discussion on the phone resulted in a comfortable wheelchair being delivered to the hotel before us. It was easy to fold for taxi journeys and took all the stress out of a potentially tricky visit. I can highly recommend Glenmore for hire of wheelchairs!
Thank you
I visited the Bathgate showroom last week with my elderly mother, was recommended to me by a friend. My mother had recently been released from hospital and still feeling quite poorly, the staff in Glenmore were very considerate and helpful, we needed a riser recliner chair to help her recover were amazed to get delivery of chair next morning thought we would have to wait a few weeks, cannot thank the ladies enough

I purchased an adjustable bed for myself as a disabled person. I had difficulties using it as the mattress wouldn't stop moving during the night resulting in me being trapped underneath. As someone who has breathing and mobility issues this was frightening. I found their aftercare service to be very uninterested and despite several calls and letters my difficulties are unresolved and I'm unable to use the bed
