Absolutely Fantastic Experience at GDK – Cardigan Fields Branch!
I had a wonderful experience at the German Doner Kebab (GDK) in Cardigan Fields. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, polite, and attentive. The service was prompt and friendly, and the whole team seemed genuinely committed to delivering a great customer experience.
The food was outstanding—fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared. I ordered the [insert your order here, e.g., "Original German Doner Kebab with chicken and a side of flaming fries"], and it was honestly one of the best kebabs I've had. Everything tasted fresh, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out.
The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a comfortable atmosphere—perfect whether you're dining in or grabbing a quick bite.
Overall, the Cardigan Fields GDK team deserves recognition for their top-notch food and service. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this location to anyone craving a proper doner done right!

Amazing food and great customer service

Went and had a great doner wrap meal today . I was served by Kate she was just great will definitely be back again

No issues with the food, but outside the Aylesbury Store there are 2 Blue Badge Bays. Being a Blue Badge Holder, I wanted to use one of them and was prevented due to their Sub Contract Delivery Driver, parking is motorbike sideways on, in the Yellow Hatched lines between both the bays, thus making it so both of them could not be used. There was loads of parking spaces on the line directly behind, what is not restricted parking bays. For a sake of 1 road width they made both bays no useable.

Ordered a £5 "Munch" wrap. Didn't expect a full on Friday night donner wrap, but was absolutely speechless when it was handed to me. The bag it was in weighed more than the wrap. The paper it was wrapped in, weighed more than the wrap. It wasn't even two bites big. I even had to pay 49p for some spicy sauce? That I'm not even sure was on it? Never really left reviews. This is more a warning. Don't go there, I did, so you don't have to. They won't be around long. Plus, it was tasteless and dry.

Utter disgrace!
Food is ahammy and cold. All greesy and theyir attitude is appalling. Not give a s..t and have what you ger and be happy. Its disgusting business. Do not order from this crap and food is only mediocre. Plus they band me from review on their own website on just eat. Speaks for it self.

I recommend for best food

I wouldn't use GDK again. Twice we have placed an order and both times items have been missing. Phoned up and spoke to someone who lied to me saying she was a manager when she had already said she had to go and speak to manager. Customer service is non existent. Staff don't know how to get orders correct and make sure everything is in the bag. When we actually spoke to a manager he told us to order something else and then phone up and ask for something free. Why would I do that when they have already missed things off the order. Wouldn't use these again. The manager is rude and arrogant

Was served by Atif in Sutton Coldfield, he was absolutely excellent and made our visit much lore than just a fast food kebab experience. Table service with a smile, and checks to be sure we were happy with our service. Great guy! Thank you Atif!

Me and my partner visited the PRESTON GDK after 2 and half years. We got the doner box and fries, looking forward to it as we were very hungry but the doner was fully burnt and very hard. The food was tasteless and i felt sick having it. I had to throw it all away. I went to the counter to complain to the staff member who's name I do not know was very rude and didn't quiet help. She said I can get a refund for my food but speaking to someone higher she said I couldn't a refund and she couldn't do anything at all to help. We spent £16.38 on the food which was not worth it. I wouldnt recommend the food or place to anyone. I won't be going there again. I told the staff I don't want anything else and I won't be returning. Is ot possible if I coul have a full refund but she didn't agree. I said to the staff member I don't want to put up a review on Trustpilot explaining about my food but she still didn't think to do anything as a good will gesture.

ordered from this German Doner branch on October 4th, 2025, at around 7:40. When I got home, I realized that part of my order was missing. The next day, I went back to the restaurant to explain the situation, but instead of helping me, the staff were extremely rude and aggressive. They refused to resolve the issue and made me feel very uncomfortable until I had to leave. This experience caused me great emotional distress, and I’m very disappointed with how the situation was handled.

Regularly get GDK however the last two times haven't been good. Last time we recieved a small portion and today, no box for the kebab just wrapped up, I'm not too bothered about that but the portion was even smaller than the last time with hardly any meat in the kebab. If it wasn't delivered, I would of returned it. Going to stop getting GDK now.

Terrible service – never again

I placed an order through Uber Eats (order #8BE73) and when the driver arrived, it was the wrong food. He only realised when we pointed it out at the door and said the restaurant must have given him the wrong order. He then took it back to the store, saying he would return with the correct meal, but he never came back.

When I phoned the restaurant directly, they were rude, unhelpful, and refused to send out the correct food even though they admitted the mistake. Instead, they told me to take it up with Uber.

This left me completely out of pocket (£22.41) and with no food. The attitude on the phone was awful – dismissive and unprofessional.

After this experience I will never order from German Doner Kebab again. If you value your money and expect even the most basic level of customer service, avoid this branch.

For two customers before and after she bring their food and mine she call me to collect .

The OG beef kebab was tasty, I admit. Although it was heavy on the salt and I did not like the sauce much. It would have been better without. My gripe is with the misleading nutritional information in the in store menu. It states that a beef OG kebab has only 450 Calories. It did not make it clear, that the 450 Calories, referred only to the beef filling and not to the total calorie count of the kebab. Which I only found out later (on line) was 1058 Calories! I take care of my health (exercising regularly and eating healthy). I aim to eat no more then 2500 Calories per day, even on days I train (such as today). This misleading information has resulted in me eating 2800 Calories today- 300 Calories over my set limit. I would never have purchased a GDK kebab, had the nutritional information been clear. This turned out to be a poor choice, and will never be made again. I shall never again purchase food from GDK . Shame on the company for the misleading information. And shame on them for selling such high calorie content food. A single kebab (which frankly speaking is not very big nor filling), appears to have more calories then a standard order of fish and chips from a British chippie! Terrible!!!

Was served by Ilma, in Shepherd’s Bush. Amazing service. Polite and friendly. Totally allergy friendly. Was very understanding to my multiple allergies and requests. Great customer service. Definitely will visit again
