I am a regular customer and visit this…
I am a regular customer and visit this GDK Gravesend location frequently with my colleagues because it is close to our workplace.
Today (6 June 2026), I ordered a quesadilla and waited for my food while watching the preparation area through the kitchen window. There were two staff members in the kitchen and one female staff member serving customers at the till.
I watched the staff member at the till handle customer payments, touch cards and the card machine, and then come over to finish my order. She cut my quesadilla and placed the pieces into the bag with her bare hands.
I did not see her wash or sanitise her hands before touching my food. I immediately asked, “How is it possible that you are touching my food after handling payments without washing your hands?”
I was shocked and disgusted by what I had just seen. For me, this is a basic food hygiene issue. As a result, I left without taking the food because I no longer felt comfortable eating it.
I have been a regular customer for a long time, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. I hope management takes food hygiene standards seriously and ensures staff follow proper hand-washing procedures before handling ready-to-eat food.

Just nipping in to grab a bite to eat!
Spent 30min slavering at the menu lol
Decided on the chicken tikka rice box with the option to get a delicious chocolate milkshake for £2 rather than £4!
Absolutely delicious 👌🏽🥰
Don't bother
A lady refused to serve me. I ask for no salad and just certain sauces etc and like to order at the counter as whenever I've done it on the machine and just asked for amendments, it's always wrong. I've also never had an issue with an employee taking my order at the counter until today. We were stood for a good few minutes before she even realized we were there and acknowledged my existence and clearly the boxes she was putting together were way more important to her than customers. I explained why I wanted to order at the counter and the lady told me if I was paying card to use the machines. I asked if I could be served at the counter and again she just pointed me to the machines so I just left without ordering. I'm SO disappointed. I'd been looking forward to it all day and specifically stopped back in Newcastle for a GDK which was a total waste of time and money. Tonight you lost two meals + extras, sides and drinks worth of revenue as I was with my boyfriend. I worked in hospitality for years and I've never been refused service at a till, nor would I ever do that to a customer. It's made me really think about going back to GDK in the future to be honest. It's not the first time I've had issues at the Newcastle branch as they never get the order right hence why I like to order at a till with a person. I know it's something pretty minor but it's put a dampner on my day, especially when you out an online complaint in and customer services are absolutely USELESS
Honestly one of the worst customer…
Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had at GDK Hounslow. I simply asked if a small amendment could be made to my order and the staff member immediately became rude and dismissive, speaking to me with attitude instead of trying to help. There was no professionalism at all. I even had to politely correct her and ask her not to speak to me in that manner. She repeatedly said “listen” in a very rude tone, saying “listen, I’m not making any changes,” even though the food was supposedly packed but still sitting at the restaurant. A simple “excuse me” or a polite explanation would have been far more appropriate.
What makes this even worse is the behaviour of this particular staff member. They were unnecessarily confrontational from the start, made me feel like I was being a problem for asking a simple question, and showed absolutely no respect or basic customer service skills. Instead of handling the situation calmly and professionally, they chose to be argumentative and dismissive, which completely ruined the experience.
I decided to give this branch another chance, but after today I genuinely won’t be ordering from here ever again. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or spoken to disrespectfully just for asking a simple question. Really disappointing experience.
Very disappointed- I cannot describe…
Very disappointed- I cannot describe the content of my kebab as meat. It was more like mush. If it had been heated it would have helped. No pitta - just a supermarket wrap. At least half the filling was raw cabbage.
The portion size
The portion size, large in particular, is ridiculous. No kidding, the box was smaller than the palm of my hand!
Such a good meal!!

IT WAS JST GREAT
IT WAS JST GREAT. ORDERED A DONER BOX AND BEST FOOD EVER 5 /5
Their food is cheap and basic
Their food is cheap and basic, fries are like the £1 bag from freezer place, the kebabs are basic chicken or beef donner and their so called tikka masala kebab is just plain meat filling with some sort of horrendous cold sauce on that doesnt resemble tikka masala at all went straight in bin!
The foods are vastly over priced for what it is and always seem to get orders wrong with no sauce added yet the ploughed it with sauce.
2 visits and 2 big disappointments, wont ever use them again.
Great service when we needed it most
It had been a long day, everyone on our team was exhausted and running late, so we headed down to GDK Canary Wharf for a quick dinner — not something we usually do.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, generous smiles, and excellent customer service. We had a few people in our group with special requests, and the team adjusted options promptly and without hesitation.
We chose to dine in and were pleasantly surprised by the level of care — table service, attention to detail, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. I wasn’t expecting that level of hospitality from a quick dinner stop, which is exactly why I felt compelled to leave this review.
Mushahida and the team were fantastic: welcoming, professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout.
And to top it all off, the kebab was lovely too.
A tired team left happy — all round, a win.
Meat is nice
Meat is nice, chips was weak. Soggy and cold. Not sure why the overall review is that the portions are generous, the portion I got for £10 was tiny tbh. 50p for a tiny pot of sauce
the most AMAZING food ive ever tried.
customer service
The food is good and absolute amazing customer service from Misbah she is always polite and helpful girl in the store.overall everything is well maintained.
German Doner Kebab is the kind of place…
German Doner Kebab is the kind of place that looks amazing in ads but somehow disappoints and terrible place the second you actually eat there. The meat tastes overly processed, the sauces are way too sweet, and everything feels engineered for Instagram instead of flavor. They charge premium prices for what is basically a glorified fast-food kebab wrapped in flashy branding and neon lights. The portions aren’t even that generous, and somehow every location manages to feel both overcrowded and soulless at the same time. It’s like they took a proper late-night kebab and replaced all the personality with corporate marketing.
As soon as my son ait his food he started to vomit so make sure you keep them away
Recommend you go to your local kebab shop. At least doesn't taste like rat meat
Great customer service and the kebabs…
Great customer service and the kebabs are delicious
