DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE - LIES ABOUT STOCK AND RUDE EMPLOYEES

Told me they had my gearbox in stock and available. They were charging more than elsewhere but i was okay with that because the gearboxes are hard to come by. I called them up to check that it was a 6 speed manual out of a v6 car and they assured me it was. I then asked about shipping, to which i was told that it was 2-3 working days after payment is made. I paid on a Sunday and by the following Friday the box had not arrived. I called them and asked what was going on and they told me they had issues removing it from the car.
They then promised me it would be out and shipped withing 48 hours.
i then waited till the following Wednesday to see if the box was going to turn up and it did not. I called them back to ask what was happening and they told me it had been shipped and was on the way to me and I should receive it on Friday. I called the garage on Saturday where the box was due to be delivered to and they told me it still had not arrived. I then called the breaker's yard back to which i was told again it had been shipped but the guy couldn't give me any tracking details till Monday.
I then called at 9am on Monday and was told that they would look into it and call me back in 10 mins. 45 mins later i had to call them back to which i then found out that not only had the box not been shipped but they had completely mis-sold me and the box was the completely wrong one. They asked me to wait until lunch time and they would call me back and let me know what was happening as they were looking into it. I ended up calling them back again at lunch time (as it seems they cannot follow up on what they say) to which the guy was extremely aggressive and rude, telling me to be patient and to wait for their call.
I have waited 2 weeks for a gearbox that i was told was being shipped but never was and never exited.
Overall awful service, making promises they can't keep and selling parts they don't have and cant get. And I will be pursuing a full refund through my bank.

A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

I've had a very bad experience with this company and concluded that they are conmen. I paid for a fuel tank through 1st Choice spares online but they never delivered the item on time. When I asked for a refund they said they would do so but deduct 25 percent. Nearly 3 weeks have passed and they haven't refunded me yet.

But when fitted it proved to be faulty because the cylinder head gasket had gone. I really wish I had read the reviews for this company and stayed well clear

Avoid

Avoid ! Bought a gearbox off them in July. They sent the wrong one despite numerous phone calls and sent photos. Still waiting for replacement/ refund at the end of Sept. They have had 3 sets of photos, they have told me twice it has been sent out but never did. They are are now refusing return and refund. They want me to pay to return it despite it being their fault, they also want a 25% cancellation few claiming special order. They have made promise after promise but it is all lies. AVOID at all cost !

Title Title: Wrong Parts, No Refund, Endless Excuses

Title: Wrong Parts, No Refund, Endless Excuses

I ordered a Honda Jazz tailgate and bumper (2019 new model) from Foreign Car Spares after sending them pictures of my vehicle. They confirmed they had the correct parts, so I paid. Delivery was promised in 3 working days but took over 2 weeks.

When the parts finally arrived, they sent me an older model that didn’t match my car. They insisted I “could still use it,” even trying to convince my garage to fit it, but the mechanic refused.

Since June, I’ve called almost daily. I was promised collection labels that never arrived, told repeatedly that the new parts had been sent (they hadn’t), and given constant excuses. When I asked for a refund, they said it was processed and would arrive in 3–5 working days weeks later, still nothing.

They ignore my emails, waste my time, and keep my money. I also had to buy the correct parts elsewhere at extra cost. In my experience, they are completely untrustworthy. Avoid at all costs.

Fraudulent company

Fraudulent company – avoid at all costs
I ordered a gearbox for £1,300 from Foreign Car Spares Ltd and it’s been an absolute nightmare. First they sent a faulty part, then a completely wrong one. Despite clear confirmation from Nissan main dealer and an independent garage that the gearbox was the issue, they have refused to take responsibility or issue a refund.

I’ve spent weeks chasing them — countless phone calls, emails, and excuses. They even had the nerve to suggest I send my whole car to Birmingham at my own expense! They’re now ignoring me completely, leaving me out of pocket for the gearbox, labour, and storage costs.

This business is deceptive and dishonest. Just look at their Google reviews — 2.3 stars and dozens of complaints saying the same thing.

DO NOT trust this company with your money. Report them, avoid them, warn others.

RIP OFF COMPANY - ROGUE TRADER

COMPLAINT - FOREIGN CAR SPARES LTD, BIRMINGHAM

I am completely dissatisfied with FCS.
I ordered a second hand car door. Fine, but FCS did NOT state that they were supplying what they called a "bare door" - I and the firm to fit my replacement door expected to receive a car door ready for fitting.
They supplied a door with the innards ripped off, windows removed, window frames damaged - all totally not fit for purpose. FCS - I feel completely ripped off by them.

On complaining I got this extremely dismissive answer - "hi there can you send me of the photos of the door that you received and also it was sold as a bare door. you can imagine coming from a used scrap yard it may have some scratches and scuffs nothing polish cant sort out".

Photos were sent and I requested refund of payment and a return of door - all within specified 14 days.
I am dissatisfied with their provided door, the information received [a "bare door" is no use to us] and unsatisfied at being brushed off and ignored when I wanted a refund.

My impression of FCS, Birmingham from my experience - this is a money grubbing, ripoff company and a rogue trader.
DO NOT GO THERE!

Rip off merchants

I dont even want to give this shambles of a company 1 star but i have to do to send the review i also went through 1st choice and was given there details for a nissan note automatic front subframe i called them they said they had one and it would be delivered within 4 days.
Well a week and half later and 3 phone calls it arrived at a price of £198 which i paid by card.
The car went into the garage to have the subframe fitted once the old one was removed guess what the new one from foreign car spares was the wrong one it was for a manual not an auto i called to explain the car was stuck on the garage ramp they just said they would try and find the correct subfame for me with no time scale explain that to the garage owner not who needed his ramp for other customers car repairs.
my only option was to go to the dealers at a price of £634 the garage fitted it on thats over £1000 now this company then said send the wrong subframe back to them for a refund at my cost
And that the refund payment would be minus 25% i asked were it states if the parts are returned i loose 25% they could not explain and as they sent me the wrong part i should expect a full refund.
So out of all of the phone calls and weeks passing i finally got a refund for my £198.00 of £137.25 that is not minus 25% when i went to school so all i can say is i should have read there fantastic rubbish
reviews first myself and good look if you dare to order anything from this pathetic run company they are just a joke.
And were is states reviews are not verified above believe me this one is very true.

Stay away from!

The most horrific customer service experience ever. Rude on nearly every exchange and tried to charge 25% cancellation charge after non delivery of goods. Can't believe places like this remain in business. Do not go near.

I strongly advise against purchasing…

I strongly advise against purchasing from this company. I bought a gearbox from them on 23rd November 2023, with the understanding it would be delivered within 5 days. However, it took them two weeks to deliver the item. Their unprofessional behavior raised suspicions.

After installing the gearbox, my car ran for only a month before developing faults. Despite supplying evidence of the faults and numerous attempts to contact them, I received no response.

I had to engage a third-party company, 1st Choice, to assist with lodging a complaint. After four weeks of waiting, the gearbox was collected, and it took an additional week to assess it. I requested a refund due to lack of trust in their workmanship, but it was denied. They insisted the gearbox had no faults and blamed my car.

Unwilling to be a victim, I informed them of my intention to take legal action. Regardless of the costs involved, I am determined to pursue this matter. My legal team will be in touch in due course. Further updates will be available in due course.

Bunch on ignorant clowns and conmen

Bunch on ignorant clowns and conmen, purchased an engine from them checked it with them over the phone, before I paid to confirm it was the correct one for my car which they said it was, turns out it wasn’t correct and the one I needed they wanted an extra over £1000 for. I said I didn’t want it and just have a refund of £660 for original engine I bought, I was told 3-5 days I’d have money back, fast forward two weeks later still no money, they just lie, I had to chase daily, the staff are arrogant and rude especially the manager called ‘Dave’, who thinks he knows it all but clearly hasn’t got a clue, telling me I can’t get an engine when I already have one patronising and laughing over the phone, also spoke to a ‘Gaz’ who promised on two occasions my money would be refunded immediately and it wasn’t. Clearly they think they can take advantage of females, withhold customers money and speak to people like rubbish. It’s took a threatening email to the managing director Mr Khan stating they have breached contract and under consumer rights act didn’t refund my money within 14 days, for me to finally get my money back. Reported to trading standards!! Doesn’t seem like it’s the first incident of them trying to rip people off!! Scumbags!!!
