Website down for weeks

Have used in the past but their website has been down now for weeks, the ordering functionality is listed as ‘under maintenance’! Customer service have no idea when it will be fixed. There is probably more to it than just under maintenance given some of the reviews here.

US company!

The company is US based and ships from there, which is a total mislead. Why would you say Europeans? The Customer Service is horrible. They wrote me saying there was a problem with my card, while my money was already taken. I had to tell them and asked for my order to be shipped. They said it would be in 24hours, days later I still had no confirmation and had to write again. Two weeks later I still do not have the package, when I wrote for help I got an automated response to get in comm with postal service.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service.
After ordering lenses, they emailed me to say the payment had failed. They ignored all my subsequent emails begging for any kind of help over this problem.
I eventually got one reply that was quite irrelevant. The another saying they've shipped them!
So pay up and hope you get the lenses, but don't expect any sort of co-operation or replies!
It's also quite dishonest to have a name "Eurolens.co.uk" but be operating from Missouri, USA!

Great company

Great company. I was initially hesitant to use this company. The Trustpilot reviews were not especially good, and my background checks revealed it wasn't a UK company. Despite this I went ahead and ordered a pair of Boston XO RGP contact lenses for on the 14th October 2020. The lenses were priced in US Dollars (£60.06 in GBP), but they were at least 30% cheaper than the quote from my optician. As the lenses were coming from overseas, I was expecting to pay VAT or a duty charge notification. However, VAT/Duty was not applicable as on the 22nd October the lenses arrived, and upon inspection they are exactly as ordered. I'm especially impressed by the overall time from order to delivery.

Excellent

I had a great experience with this company. I ordered a pair of RGP lenses at a value of around £55 and they arrived within 10 days with no customs duty to pay. I was surprised as I was expecting a 20% VAT charge from UK customs, which I have paid before when ordering lenses direct from the US. It might be because the US supplier listed the value of the parcel at only $10! Thank you!!

I understand other reviewers frustration at extra charges, but I do think it is made clear on the Eurolens website that the lenses come from the USA and Customs/VAT charges will apply at the UK border, depending on the value of the order. These are collected by the Royal Mail when you pick up the lenses at the sorting office.

I am very happy as I think £55 (or even £66 with the correct VAT levy) represents really good value compared to the price you would pay for exactly the same lenses via a high street optician

This company is a scam

This company is a scam

DO NOT buy your lenses here. Overpriced and import fees. I don't even know how it's legal to be called Eurolens if you don't actually operate in Europe. Seems severely dishonest, AT BEST.

Just don't do it.

Add another 50% in import/duty fees

Turns out that "Euro"Lens is based in US which basically means - add another 3-4 weeks of shipping and another 50% to your final order price in import/duty fees. Single most expensive place to buy lenses. Hiding under different domain names to to hide that fact is misleading and feels like a scam in action.

Watch out for Duty Fees

Not a European company. When the package arrives in your country you will be required to pay duty fees, which actually make the lenses no cheaper than if you bought them from a provider in Europe. This company falsely advertises themselves as European. This was not apparent during any step of the ordering process.

Gas permeable lenses ordered, no problems at all.

Ordered gas permeable lenses from eurolens as the last company I used to use stop delivering to the uk.
Bit worried as there were a few bad reviews, however , the lenses turned up within 7 days. Yes , they come from the USA but does that really matter if they turn up that quickly.
Lenses were cheaper and turned up faster than any I’ve ordered before so will definitely be using eurolens again.

EuroLens Needs Improvement

I ordered my lenses from this company before reading a few of the reviews online. Immediately, I had my doubts that I wouldn't see my money or lenses ever. When I checked on my PayPal account, I saw that I had paid another company called Lens.com and they had a phone number.

I called the company and spoke with a very nice lady on the phone. Immediately she told me that the lenses I had ordered were out of stock. I knew right then and there I had a problem. I asked her if I could change the lenses for a different type, and if this one was in stock. She put me on hold and came back on the line.

At this time she said that her supervisor had informed her that the company had just received the material to make my lenses and it would be 3 to 5 days before they'd be ready.

I ordered my lenses on the 8th of December, talked to the company on the 9th and received an email on the 11th that my lenses had shipped. Even with the holidays and international shipping, my lenses arrived to me in 16 days. This was a record for me to receive anything shipped from the United States to French Polynesia Tahiti.

I am very happy with my lens order, and the time frame it took to make them. The only thing I didn't like about the company, was the fact that they are a US based company using a UK website name. This company is just a website based affiliate company that doesn't have an office, a way to call, or even a customer service to talk to.

The only way I found out that this company actually works with another US based company was through my PayPal account when I checked my payment. The company won't allow you to use PayPal to pay and you need a credit card. Lucky for me, I have a PayPal credit card for these types of order.

If you needed lenses again, go direct to the source and contact Lens.com. They can easily tell you what lenses are in stock and how long it will take to receive them. Cut out the middle man and go to the company that is shipping and making your lenses. I had better luck getting the information I needed from the company that makes the lenses. I'll order from the company again. However, next time I'll cut out the middleman and go direct to lens.com to place my order and talk to them on the phone.

Do not buy from Eurolens.com

The company pretends it ships its goods from Europe but it does not. You will end up waiting over a month and paying huge custom taxes for your lenses. I advise not to buy from them if you are based in Europe.

misleading

Don't buy at eurolens.com.
- They pretend to deliver from Europe, but instead the deliver from US, which means high custom charges.
- They refuse to give refunds.
- They don't deliver the items you order.

Company NOT in Europe!!

Ordered contact lenses from this company assuming that it was located within Europe as the name suggests and the fact that it was Free shipping within UK.
2 weeks later - had a rather expensive custom charge as the lenses was shipped from US company - so refused to pay the custom charge and requested PO to return parcel.
2 months and Eurolens claim that they have not received lenses back so have refused refund.
