Very poor experience as a seller

Very poor experience as a seller. Not only did I send the product and did everything correctly. I was scammed and lost the sale and the product was damaged. They sided with the buyer although it was clear it was a scam and refunded them. I lost the product and sale and to add injury they charged me a fee for everything. Never working with them again.

Support call ended before my questions were answered

I contacted eBay support regarding my permanently suspended account. I received a phone call at around 09:17 Lithuanian time from +371 2940 4140 and spoke with a female support agent. I tried to ask a few questions to understand the situation better, but the call was ended abruptly before my questions were answered.
I understand that my English may not be perfect, but I was genuinely trying to speak clearly and understand the explanation. Ending the call like that felt very disrespectful and unprofessional.

I am very disappointed with eBay’s…

I am very disappointed with eBay’s service and seller tools. Recently I sold an item, and although the package has been confirmed as delivered, my funds are still being held much longer than they should be. The tracking clearly shows delivery, but eBay has failed to update the order status properly. This delay is frustrating and unfair, especially for sellers who rely on timely access to their money. Customer support and payment processing need significant improvement. Based on this experience, the platform feels unreliable and stressful to use.

Knowingly supply fakes then make up lies to oust you from website ? Was offered a free selling option, which supplied a couple of adds but never sold anything. For them to say I owe seller fees.

Does using the worst UK courier service make you the worst vendor? Probably.

I wouldn’t buy from eBay unless really pushed to. They use EVRi as their courier in the UK and EVRi are terrible, by design. They leave packages on the ground by flooding drains and in the rain. They don’t bother knocking. Oh, and these examples are if you are lucky. Generally, they don’t show up at all or, in two instances, send the wrong items. On more occasions than I can count they say ‘attempted delivery’ and provide a photo of a black screen as “evidence” they tried. Goes without saying, it’s just a blatant lie and their management do nothing about the couriers who do this. I have heard it said that they don’t have enough drivers and they take too many obligations on (which is profit over service). So, if it all goes wrong, then what? Well, you’re losing your money because they also have virtually non-existent customer services and eBay seem utterly unfazed about the predictably poor level of service. After all, they did actively choose to contract this 1* firm.

I guess EVRi aren’t the only company willing to shaft their customers.

Avoid eBay like the plague (2026 review)

I sold one item on eBay ever.
Because the tracking wasn't updated outside Ireland, I lost the item, with no way of proving it was sent.
To add insult to injury, eBay charged me almost 50 euro for a refund to the buyer for the postage costs, even though I only charged them 25 euro!
(The irony being that even though I charged them 25 euro, I paid 45) so I lost not only the item I sold, but 95 euro as well!
eBay have gone down the toilet in recent years, not only for sellers, but for purchases too.
The taxes keep conveniently not getting added when you purchase so you think you're getting a bargain, only to have customs send you large bills now with an added 7.50 "admin fee" no matter how small the customs / tax amount is.
Finally, the delivery inside Ireland has gotten very bad with zero oversight. DPD are worse than incompetent and if you complain, they send a generic apology, which is often more infuriating than their ineptitude in the first place!

Have been on ebay for 20 years with only good reviews. I just got a message saying my account had been suspended for violating their terms and conditions. I rang them to see what had happened and just got a very un helpful Customer service rep who said their by account had been flagged but wouldn't give me any details of what happened. Crazy after 20 years they are literally trying to loose customers. No wonder their share price is in free fall. Fine ill buy and sell my stuff on amazon.

Unprofessional customer service

As an eBay seller we have found eBay's customer service to be very unprofessional. Very often we get stuck in a loop where the issue can not be resolved. The agents that can provide customer service are often poorly trained without authority and the issue does not6 get resolved or more complicated.

Hidden fees being applied on products…

Hidden fees being applied on products and only coming to light on the very last page of check out are taking addional costs from consumers under false pretences. I looked at an item £178, on check out i was nearly stung for US $343. So beware and how the consumer watch dog has catch this yet is beyond me. Im closing my ebay account.

Ebay's performance has reached an all-time low, plummeting to a depth that is more disappointing than ever before. The standards have dropped significantly, leading to a decline that is both alarming and unprecedented.
The fact that there are 0 views on ads placed by sellers several months ago is a clear indication that Ebay has shifted away from its core focus of being a platform for selling. It's more like a money laundering machine.

Refund for cancelled order never arrived

An order I made was cancelled and the money should have been refunded over a week ago. After speaking with the customer service, they said that eBay has no responsibility while from two different sellers I was informed that it's eBay that has to authorise the payment. Never had issues with PayPal for other refunds. And it doesn't seem that they care. Never again business with them

I’d give no star for customer service

I’d give no star for customer service. My son bought an item which he did not receive. An email was sent to eBay within 30dayw asking where his item was but got no reply. We sent in a report but was “outside” their 30 days money back guarantee so they won’t issue a refund. We’ve sent numerous messages to them to which we get the same reply as though the customer services representatives don’t read prior messages. We have an email from when we ordered from them them saying that they’ll let us know when the item was dispatched. We didn’t receive any dispatch email so you’d have to wonder why they would release the funds to the seller when they have to have known the item wasn’t sent.

Ordered Kreain joint gel from JOSYCES on ebay and after several emails and even more excuses i never received my Kreain, also contacted the company and they said they would resend the items but never did, so no help from either.
BEST ADVICE KEEP WELL CLEAR OF EBAY and JOSYCES.

EBay told me I am threat and hung up on me …

I have been an eBay customer for years and tonight I went onto eBay to sell a necklace and this would be the first time selling an item. They emailed me and said they permanently suspended my account. This is for no reason at all. I requested a call back and omg, this was the most rudest, unfriendliest and unhelpful person I have ever come across. She took my details and then said your account has been permanently blocked and she said I was a threat to their community. How am I threat when all I was wanting to do is a list a necklace to sell. She told me I am threat and then hung up. She spoke to me as if I was a criminal or something. I’m sorry but if you are going to permanently block a persons account then have the decency to at least tell your long term customer why. The way you speak your customers is disgusting and the way she made me feel accusing me of being something I’m not. I was very polite and friendly with her and she treated me like I was some shite on her shoe. I’m shocked 😳 looking through the other reviews I noticed nobody from EBay replies to any of the reviews. Just shows they really don’t give a hoot about any of their customers.

lip service


I’ve been a loyal eBay customer for many years and have never had reason to complain—until now. I have always received good service in the past and have purchased quite a number of items through your platform.

However, I am extremely disappointed with a recent experience.

I ordered two watches from the same seller, which were intended as keepsakes in memory of two deceased relatives. Unfortunately, these items never arrived.

The seller chose to use Fastway Couriers (also known as "Aramex"), a delivery service that is widely regarded as unreliable in Ireland. They are known for having no customer service, no working landline, and no way to track parcels effectively. I have tried contacting them multiple times with no success.

It has now been over four weeks, and despite repeated requests, I have not received a refund, nor the items.

I am writing to ask once again:

Please issue a full refund immediately.

If the watches can be located, they should be delivered via An Post or another reliable courier.

Otherwise, your Money Back Guarantee should apply without delay.

Right now, it feels like I am only being given lip service with no resolution. If the Money Back Guarantee is genuine, then please demonstrate it by resolving this issue.

Thank you in advance, and I hope this can be resolved promptly and professionally.

Ebay TOTAL SCAMMERS

I cant believe this is not closed yet!
I sold item for 365eur, they robbing scammers ebay charged their fees and my total i get 290eur plus i need to make a shipping international around 35eur.
I cant believe humanity gone completely. Wow.
DO NOT use ebay at all if you dont want to be scammed sneaky way.
