was placed in a flat with all international students who couldn’t speak english so so felt extremely isolated and took 4 months before being offered a room change

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're genuinely sorry to hear that you felt isolated during your time with us. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable and supported in your living environment, and we regret that your initial placement didn’t meet those expectations.
We’d like to clarify that all ensuite room allocations and changes are managed directly by the university. Unfortunately, this means we have no control over where students are placed or who they live with. While we do our best to support residents through any concerns, room changes must be requested and approved through the university’s accommodation team.
