Awful delivery and customer service

I ordered on December 29th.
I received a confirmation, and the next day, I received a tracking number, saying my parcel was on its way.
My parcel got stuck after 3 days, however, I waited patiently, and today (Jan 14th), I saw it was delivered to another city, to who knows whom.
It is impossible to reach customer service

Non-existent customer service

Non-existent customer service.

I've bought a bike in 2022 which has always been parked inside, and I've used it for general small trips to shop or similar. The back break no longer break, and most gears are unusable since they tick over.
I've now tried to get help with my still active warranty since 04.2024.

There's no help to get from their website or my customer account. The phone number they list calls some random private lady who has nothing to do with Decathlon. I used their WhatsApp customer service when I bought the bike (which worked okay back then), but now all I get after getting through their horrible automated bot is a single message from someone asking for an order number and then never answers again.

I'm on the verge of seeking legal help to get my money back from this cheat of a company.

I Can't recommend anyone buying their trash.

Scammed me with a refund de5969321100

I went to visit a friend in Germany so I bought an inflatable mattress to sleep there. The mattress, as soon as I inflated it, started losing air, and I woke up the next day in the floor. I returned it and asked for the money, but they never updated me if they had received the mattress or not. Around 2 weeks later they sent an email saying they would start with the refund, but the money never arrived. It has been 2 months now and I am still waiting for the money.I emailed them about it but they never replied. Supper disappointed.

Amazing sports gear

Amazing sports gear. I used to not buy technical stuff from them, prefering to trust them with the basics like clothes. But the last few expensive pieces of climbing, skiing and sleeping gear I've bought were actually amazing.

Worse Quality and Lies

I purchased 3 sets of gloves from Decathlon for my wife, myself and a friend and guess what, gloves claimed to tolerate -5 degrees at comfort level but they failed within a couple of minutes in +3 degrees. It's a 28 euro glove set which just wasted my money. I trusted Decathlon to be opened in Germany that they would have a good product. but almost 80 euros wasted.

BAD DECATHLON.COM (US) experience.

In June I purchased a bicycle online from decathlon.com (US) and it arrived damaged and unsafe to ride (I have photos, and videos but can not post them here). I informed the retailer (Decathlon) and tried to start a return but was ignored for some time. I called 4 times and sent 6 emails and finally was given the instructions to return it. It is now September 13 and I have not received my refund, and they ignore my calls and emails. I filed a complaint with the BBB, FCC, DCA, and many more agencies.

Bought some bike repair patches

Bought some bike repair patches. When you actually need them which is not often the product is such poor quality it won't even repair a bike tube! Glue won't vulcanise and delaminates soon after fixing. Even tried the glueless patches, that product is a joke!
Very disappointed.

Delivery time

For such a massive company to charge for delivery and then for me to wait for my package(2 pairs of shoes and a bouldering bag)a week is crazy. Ordered and payed with card on the 27.07 order should arrive on Friday 04.08. Other smaller companies offer free shipping and you get your package in 2-3 days. Really disappointed.

Package doesn't arrive, customer support hangs up on us

We selected shipping to Edeka Center, but Edeka Center refused to accept the package and sent it back to Decathlon. We tried calling Decathlon but once we tell them the problem they hang up the phone, after waiting 10 minutes twice this is especially irritating. Don't use their website!

Update: We messaged them on WhatsApp and they didn't respond. We also sent an email and no response after a week. We drove to the store and they said they will refund us in 4 days.

I do not recommend using their website as they virtually have no online or telephone customer service

I had a very bad shopping experience.

I bought an electric bike from Decathlon on March 2nd. It was a bike I was already thinking of buying and I bought it immediately because it was in the campaign. I chose the "Store delivery" option. On March 4, I received the bike from the Wallau store, but it was defective. I returned the bike to the shop within 10 minutes. They apologized and said they would fix the problem right away tomorrow. But for a whole month, my e-mails were not answered. Every time we called on the phone, we were told that "our problem will be solved in 2 days", but this way I lingered for a full month. On April 2, I went back to the store and said that I would not leave without my money or my bike. After 2 hours they gave me my money back. 1 month of time and energy wasted. The employees were very polite, but they could not produce a solution in any way. It was a pretty bad experience for me. Now that the season has come, the products I want to buy have become more expensive.
