Good restaurant

Good restaurant, we were delighted! A very pleasant atmosphere, stylish interior and attentive staff - you can feel the good level of service. The dishes were beautifully presented, and everything was delicious and fresh

COYA LONDON MAYFAIR

COYA LONDON MAYFAIR - Shambolic.
Arrived on time for our 1030pm post theatre booking - to be told table not ready - please go to the bar and have a drink..that old chestnut to get you to buy a drink we didn't want. After 15 mins asked when table would be ready..told 2 mins...nothing - wife asked after 25 mins - 2 mins - another lie..eventually after seeing others couple who arrived after us getting seated i complained - and amazingly we were given a table 30 mins late. We ordered and waited. Starters arrived - the portions are tiny and hugely over priced for what the culinary effort it is. Anyway they were delicious. Then told did we want anything else other than our mains as the kitchen was shutting in 5 mins. No we didn't. Bottle of over priced wine was kept in cooler miles away from table so sat there with empty glasses until i told them to stop returning it to the ice bucket and leave it with me. Wifes main course then arrived...mine didnt appear - she ate rather than stare at it getting cold. Mine arrived when she had finished - and wasn't what i ordered...i accepted it as by now i had been told kitchen was shut and it was now 11.30pm Waiter eventually appeared..i explained what i ate wasn't what i ordered and it came 10 mins after my wife had finished. They checked..yes they screwed up - and amazingly said they would get me what i ordered...despite the kitchen being closed ..even though people were arriving and giving their orders and being served food 30 mins after we were told it was shut. Main course i ordered eventually arrived - unbelievably over priced for what is essentially a poached egg in potato broth with rice. Very bland. Asked for the bill we were now leaving..took 10 mins, until i stood up and said we were leaving and headed out the restaurant - funnily enough they appeared with the bill quickly. I called over the head waiter/manager explained the shocking service - late to table, food not brought at same time and wrong when it was. Thankfully, and the only decent thing about the place was her perfect response - bar drinks and main course were removed from the bill and no i was not paying any service charge or tip. Poor her having to clear up after such a bunch of useless staff.
Coya Mayfair is not a place to have dinner if you wish to talk. The music is loud throughout and looking around all you can see is peoples faces glowing in the dark as they sit there with their phones open. If you like taking pictures of your food and posting it on social media and think the world wants to know or cares you are in Mayfair at Coya then this is for you. If you like decent food, impeccable service for the prices you are paying and punctual helpful staff who dont lie to your face then i suggest you try plenty of other places to eat at nearby. Sadly this is next door to my club so would have been great to go again for a change from the clubs menu - wish I asked the doorman at the club what members thought of it..he told me he was yet to meet one who had had a positive thing to say about the place.

Excellent if a little overpriced even for its class

Excellent, inventive, delicious, interesting food. Plenty of staff offering excellent service. Great atmosphere and decor inside. Wine list VERY expensive with an unreasonable mark-up - there needs to be a few more affordable options. Either side of us (a couple) we had 2 couples of complete chavs who were only there to show they had money too. The bar area was full of those... This restaurant is a bit of a magnet for them. However the food, service and atmostphere are generally excellent. Only 4 stars because the clientele can be a bit vulgar...

Favorite Peruvian restaurant in Dubai…

Favorite Peruvian restaurant in Dubai and London.
Food and cocktails are delicious, love their ceviche and seabass casuela. But my personal favorite is corn ice cream with salted caramel popcorn, delish! Always great ambiance and music as well as attentive service. Definitely recommend to visit.

SATURDAY BRUNCH LONDON

SATURDAY BRUNCH LONDON
Saturday Brunch London - 75 per head - fantastic food and setting - spoilt by over crowding and inability to get served with drinks - seated late and then couldn't sit at table due to other diners dancing and falling on us - then refused back in bar area.
Written to management on 3 occasions and completely ignored!
