Bernard & Jason delivery guys

We had Bernard & Jason deliver our new unit to us. Both of them were very friendly, professional and easy to talk to. The were very attentive to ensure I was happy with the delivery and were happy to discuss any questions I had.
The unit has some damage which they reported on my behalf to which I received an email about the same day.

Great range of furniture and…

Great range of furniture and accessories only let down by having to pay a significant amount to have an armchair delivered upstairs m. We have used Cotswold for many years and purchased quite a few pieces of furniture and accessories m. It was disappointing to be told we had to pay a premium price for delivery upstairs

This is not meant to be a negative…

This is not meant to be a negative review. And nor do I want the company to read it as that. I did just want to point out to people who might have the same experience as I have done this last week, that there could be a problem with the company delivering furniture upstairs. In my case it was a small sofa. Before I explain about that, I will say that the showroom personnel were excellent and the person from customer care whom I contacted, in order to sort out the matter when I was told that it wasn't going to be possible to deliver my item upstairs, was courteous and prompt in her response. My staircase has a bend midway up and then obviously there is a set of spindles with a banister. The delivery team judged that this was a health and safety issue, and could not guarantee that they would agree to deliver the item upstairs on arrival. The same sketch of a set of stairs is on the accompanying paperwork, which the Cotswold company asked bus to fill in prior to delivery, with our measurements added, so I judge that this type of staircase is not unusual in a house. It was made clear that were I to want to go ahead with the order, it might be my responsibility for ensuring that I could take the sofa upstairs, which obviously I was not willing to do. The products are absolutely great, and the quality is sublime. However, if you do buy from this company, bear in mind what I have written. I went in to John Lewis yesterday afternoon, bought a sofa of exactly the same dimensions, discussed the matter with them and was told that there would be absolutely no problem at all delivering it upstairs. I showed them the photographs of the stairway which I've taken for the Cotswold Company. No problem. Anyway, good luck, everybody, and I wish the company well. My money has been refunded promptly and there is no ill will. Marie.

Following our discussions and after speaking with our Transport Manager, we advised that we could attempt the delivery upstairs; however, the risk of it being unsuccessful due to health and safety considerations was extremely high. The safety of our delivery teams is always our top priority when completing deliveries for our customers.

We also made sure to go through the potential pros and cons so you could make a fully informed decision. Based on this, it was agreed that you would prefer to cancel the order, and I can confirm we were able to arrange your refund promptly.

I completely understand your frustration in this situation, and I really appreciate you highlighting this for other customers, as it’s something we continue to review and improve where possible.

Thank you again for your understanding and for your kind comments about our products. I do hope we may have the opportunity to assist you again in the future.

Great quality furniture and received fantastic service from the staff in the Stamford shop and the delivery guys, Danile.p and Ryan. It was a difficult delivery as we are on the first floor and the items were large. They made it look easy and were very polite and professional

Great delivery guys

This was mine and my family’s first…

This was mine and my family’s first visit to one of your stores. We were really impressed with the choice of products. I bought a cushion for my daughter and she bought one for herself. My daughter and partner found a mirror for their new home and decided to order from your store when we got home. The staff in Stamford were very helpful with the order. Will definitely shop in store again

The staff were extremely helpful and…

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The products on offer are of excellent quality. We have put an order in for two oak wardrobes and a chest of drawers and have done this over the phone directly with the Stamford shop rather than on-line in a bid to show our support for the shop and its staff. We feel that it is really important to be able to see and feel the quality of what you are purchasing when investing in large and expensive furniture items. Though the trip to Stamford was about a 100 mile round trip, it was well worth it.

Stamford store is AMAZING 🤩

I don’t often leave reviews, but just have to give a big shout out to the Stamford team, especially Andrea and Mel, who helped me make a decision on the sofa and fabric choice and Andrea, I have to say, I think you knew what I wanted before I did. Excellent customer experience, and despite all of my many questions (trust me, I had a lot), you stuck with me. I have a number of rooms to furnish in our new home, so I will definitely be back, but honestly, you were so helpful. Thank you 😊
