I assume that this Review refers to my illness on 1 Sep 13, a Sunday, when I became seriously ill in a very short period of time with what turned out to be pneumonia and sepsis. The 111 Call Centre were fairly efficient and caused a GP to visit me that afternoon without too much of a wait. He was very good indeed, said I needed to quickly go into Southampton General A & E and called an ambulance. According to one of the ICU consultants, and my own GP, the 'out of hours' GP made a very good call for which I am very appreciative. The ambulance took quite a long time to arrive however! After nearly three weeks in hospital and more than six months getting over my illness I now fully realise just how efficient that GP was on that Sunday afternoon.
Just had a complete knee replacement at the Peninsular in Dereford and what a lovely experience.from the first consultation to discharge after my op was a lovely friendly relaxing time..The consultant was friendly polite and cheerful as were all the doctors, nurses and even the tea ladies..A big debate with hospitals are about food..well I could have been eating in a 4* restaurant the food was so good and plenty of it??I also made some very good friends in there as there were only 6 beds to a ward all with the same sort of problem so nearly a one to one treatment...I really would have no hesitation if I had to have another op in this hospital,in fact I would look forward to the pampering..
from the time I went for assessment then came in for my operation the care and attention was excellent a special mention to mr marifko and his team I am now pain free and have a better quality of life I can walk pain free and am looking forward to my holiday in a couple of weeks doing coastal walks which I struggled with for many years a special mention of mandy who was working in ward 17 for the two days I was there if I wanted anything within reason she whould do for me and was very caring not saying any other nurses were not but they were excellent as were the physio team once again for all your care in looking after me would recommend anybody to come here
Entered The Treatment Centre Saturday and discharged Sunday had a replacement hip operation carried out by Mr Flood and his brilliant staff. My operated leg was 1cm shorter than my good leg Mr Flood was able to correct the problem both legs now spot on and hardly no pain. Never been a hospital patient before and found all the staff very kind and understanding would not hesitate to recommend Southampton Treatment Centre to anyone.
Huge thanks to the two gentlemen who helped me through an MRI tonight in Spalding. Incredibly impressed by their professionalism and kindness
I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment received at the Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre.
From initial consultation, treatment through to the follow up appointments I was dealt with courteously and professionally.
The staff are wonderful and perform their respective roles with pride and, I must say, a fantastic sense of humour.
In times when the media seem intent on finding fault with everything our NHS do for us, they could do well to visit this excellent centre and see exactly what we should all be grateful for.
What a wonderful place, no smells, great staff, plenty to do, rooms can be made to feel more like home as you can bring your bits in, no restrictions on times of visits, always get asked would I like a cuppa, staff very nice, meals are wonderful , I have to say that I have not worried about mum's safety in the weeks that she has been there, and I was gobsmacked that they have managed to get her to go on an outing, the first time in year's, can't thank them enough
As an EXTREMELY nervous patient, I cannot recommend the treatment centre enough, I had previously paid to go private and the level of care, cleanliness and friendliness here is second to none.
Everyone from the people I spoke to on the phone before my procedure, to the reception desk staff and the nurses and consultant were all brilliant
Thank you so much ! If only care uk took over every department of the NHS then I would be laughing !
Putting a loved one into care is a very difficult, emotional experience to go through, but I wanted to write a review of Care UK as they made what was a difficult time so much easier.
From the person I spoke to on my initial enquiry to the home manager everyone has been fantastically helpful and incredibly kind over this difficult period.
I'd highly recommend Care UK's care homes to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
Standard of service was very efficient and staff were very friendly and sympathetic .
I had an appointment pre- arranged and was only 15 mins over the agreed time. I had no problem with that at all.
I have nothing but praise for my experience with Care UK and the North East London Treatment Centre. From the start I was kept well informed and letters were sent promptly. I was treated with respect and courtesy throughout my stay in hospital and by all the staff I came into contact with. The service I received in hospital was superb, nothing was too much trouble. I can't rate them highly enough, they made my stay both pleasant and reassuring. The after care I received has also been excellent.
I would not hesitate in recommending - in fact I have been telling everyone what a superb service I have received.
Many thanks for everything
Had some minor treatment at the unit & was impressed by how well I was treated. Can't exactly recall what services were available but I understand that it caters for all minor injuries so will be a major boost for the NHS in the Portsmouth area.
The nurses, one in particular, we're very caring and the minor treatment I had went without a hitch.
Just before & after the treatment I suffered an awful bout of Labrinthitis and anyone who has had this knows how bad it can be. I suffered for well over an hour but one nurse, whose name I didn't know, was a star, assisting me as best she could & giving me the best of care.
I hope I never need treatment again at his unit but know, if it is needed, I will be treated as well again
Throughout the build up to and course of my hip replacement the standards of professionalism, hygiene and care were first class. The qualty of food at Emersons Green was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone with a similar procedure to be undertaken.
Amazing of the volume of care, patient care outstanding, all staff professional
This was the very first operation that I have ever had and as soon as you get to this treatment centre all you get is first class care from all the staff from when you get there to when you leave
Thank you so much
