I will never buy Braun product again. After finally giving up on a £200 toothbrush needs to be charged every 3 uses I was gifted a £120 beard trimmer. used the trimmer for 3 months, the hair guard sta... See more

Don't buy a Braun series 9 razor !!
Don't buy a Braun series 9 razor !!! I purchased a series 9 razor, which was one of their most expensive razors. During the first 18 months the mesh has become faulty no less than 4 times and needed replacing. Also the motor became faulty and needed a new one fitted. Really disappointed in the quality of this razor, and the problems that I have experienced.
I was happy with my Braun S3 shaver until
I was happy with my Braun S3 shaver until I brought a replacement cassette. After a month shaver head/cassette fell apart after washing it, and now regularly falls apart, it also pulls the hairs when I shave. It is impossible to get in touch with the Braunshop.co.uk from where I brought it, instead you get sent to P&G care (Proctor and Gamble parent company) I was told The cassettes are not covered under warranty as they are wearable parts, they cant send me a replacement, as although they are showing in stock they claim to be out of stock and have sent me a link from where I can buy a new cassette. Awful customer service from a huge multi-national company
Braun shavers frequently malfunction
I have two Braun series 9 shavers -- a 9242S and a 9345S because I split my time between two locations and am loathe to pack a shaver every time I travel from one to the other. I bought them during promotional periods.
While they provide a decent shave, breakdowns are frequent. Both shavers have been repaired twice to-date, due to motherboard and/or battery issues. The 9345S was last repaired less than a month ago, on 9 Dec 2024 (at an authorised service centre), and since 6 Jan 2025 has malfunctioned again. It cannot even last one month! The travel lock feature (which I seldom use anyway) malfunctions, causing the shaver to not be able to be switched on, or it switches on and off by itself erratically. One night, I woke up to the 9345S switching on and off repeatedly by itself at 3am.
One thing is for sure: My next shaver will not be a Braun.
Absolutely Appauled with Braun
I brought a Braun series 7 shaver some years back and was delighted with it, it was superior to most other makes I had bought prior, German engineering at its finest, however, 18 months after my purchase I needed a new foil head for it, which is normal, so I purchased one for about £40 but when I tried it my shaver was totally different and it ripped my beard hair out, I thought I had been ripped off by Amazon who had sold me a counterfeit foil, at this point went back to wet shaving, and didn't bother getting another foil for about a year due to the expense, but then purchased another foil from Boots i thought that i'd be safe with them and get a quality replacement foil, Wrong this foil was also ripping my hair out, I also had bought a cheap one off of ebay which was the same, at this point I wrote to Braun explaining what had been going on and looking for answers as to why I couldn't buy a replacement foil of the same quality as the one they sold me when I first purchased the Series 7 shaver, i received no reply, a few months later i tried again with no reply from Braun customer service, i looked through the foil reviews and Braun feedback and there were many many reviews with the same complaints as mine, it looks like German engineering has gone the same way as British engineering, sold off to the cheapest Chinese knock- off shop, so now my expensive forever shaver is useless and obsolete, perhaps i can frame it as a testament to the once outstanding German engineering (and customer service) that is now no more.
I was a fan of Braun and the epilators…
I was a fan of Braun and the epilators they made prior when i first discovered them. When cleaning, this piece breaks off of the spring. This is the second time i ordered one and the same thing happened. I don’t recommend this product to anyone due to its risk in duration and the warranty is only for a year and it broke after the year’s time from Dec. 2023 to know. The one prior broke the same way prior to a year being up.
I am completely dissatisfied with lack of customer service…
I am completely dissatisfied with Brauns customer service. After filling out a request for replacement parts on their website, I have yet to receive any reply whatsoever. Not even a bot reply to let them me know they received my inquiry. My product experience was actually excellent, getting crickets back has soured my opinion of Braun.
This company has the worst customer service ever!!!!
Ordered a Model 9440 beard trimmer/shaver directly from the company for just over $100.00. It came without an attachment. I called them and they lied to me and said I had to send the entire kit back so that they could send me a new kit with the missing attachment. I questioned this and asked them to just send the missing piece, but they said they could not do this. They had no individual attachments available, that they were all packed with kits. I just got a shipping confirmation for the missing foil shaver attachment and nothing else. THEY OUTRIGHT LIED TO ME. I called and they said they were sending me a similar part, not the one that was missing. They also said they were sending me another complete kit. I could have kept the original kit and waited for the part...but “NOOOOOOOOOO”, this was the way they insisted they had to do it! I just now called them and said that I was done. I wanted my money back. They just sent me a label to return both items. I simply refuse to do business with a company so poorly run with miserable customer service. Thanks Proctor and Gamble for nothing but a waste of time and money. I will boycott your products wherever I can for the rest of my life.
Appalling quality
Do not waste money on this portable shaver,it is only fit for land waste.
It doesn't shave properly and it's almost impossible to replace the batteries.
Boots are selling rubbish with this product as it's unusable.
Totally useless.
Never sent a replacement for faulty…
Never sent a replacement for faulty laser machine
Very poor quality product
Very poor quality product. Blades are not sharp, but the plastic combs are, scratching my face. Do not buy, not worth the money!
On your own
Bought Series 9 shaver and almost immediately it became defective. The motor would stop and not restart even though battery indicator showded plenty of power left.Recharge for short period and shaver would restart and now have discovered if you just leave it for a few hours it will restart.Service address for Ireland is in UK which involves sending out side EU with possible taxation issues both ways.Ring customer service number only to discover that it will not accept calls from ROI. Useless product and non existent customer service option from Ireland. Lesson learned will not be buying from Braun again.OTHERS BEWARE
My beard trimmer stopped working twice
My beard trimmer failed after 6 months and was thankfully repaired under warranty. 1 month after the 2 year warranty ended, the trimmer wouldn't switch on despite being fully charged. Compare this to my 10 year old Philips trimmer which still runs to this day. Braun does not make products that last despite the hefty price tag
Bought a Braun beard trimmer a few months ago…
Bought a series 9 Braun beard trimmer a few months ago direct from Braun.
Also registered for +1 extended guarantee which is valid until summer 2027.
The blade after a few uses stops after 1 second - on then off. Its the blade head interaction with the body as the body stays on if no blade head.
Unbelievable I contacted Braun thinking it would be an apology and replacement head. However told all blade heads are attachments and only the body is covered. I said its not an attachment but the integral item that makes it a shaver. The reply was like the wheels on your car - they may be needed for travel but not the car. I was told to buy a complete new shaver if I wanted the shaver head!
I wished I had read the reviews. They have taken £80 from me for a device that does not work. Surely this is not legal?
Bought a series 9 beard trimmer…
Bought a series 9 beard trimmer a year ago, use it once a week or so. The charger has broken already. Called Braun and they have no replacement charger to purchase as they have not been released yet. No alternative offered. Very disappointing when you have paid £90.00 for a product.
Pulls hairs
Pulls hairs, simply not fit for purpose. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing.
Trying to return the thing is even worse. Rather than sending a return address they are sending instructions on how to shave!!!
This is their response for a shaver that doesn't work.
"Additional shaving tips:
• Shave before washing your face.
• Make sure your face is dry before shaving.
• Hold the shaver at a 90-degree angle.
• Stretch the skin and shave against hair growth; change direction as needed.
• Use a gentle touch and let the shaver do the work.
• Clean shaver after every use.
Tips for Wet Shave usage:
• You may choose to wash your face, but it is not required.
• Wet your skin/beard area.
• Apply foam to your facial hair.
• Shave with a Braun shaver designated as Wet & Dry.
• At all times, hold the shaver at the right angle (90°) to your skin.
• Stretch your skin and shave in the direction of your beard growth.
• Wash your face with cool water.
• Clean shaver under running water:"
Avoid!
Braun series 9 shaver, power button came off again and again and Braun charges out for repair
We bought a series 9 shaver a few years ago. In 2022, the power button suddenly became loose and eventually came off. It happened during normal use. As we were still in warranty back then, it was repaired by Braun in the UK at no cost to us. However to our surprise, 2 years on the exact same problem happened again but now Braun's customer care is refusing to take this issue seriously which we strongly believe given the nature of the problem it must be a design flaw or part quality issue. Because our product is out of warranty, Braun will not repair this problem for free. As a consumer and Braun as a reputable brand, we find this is totally unacceptable. If a manufacturer designed and sold a product with inherent problems which are to be revealed later on, it must repair the product at no cost to consumers even out of warranty.
If anyone is thinking of buying a Braun shaver and if the model has a standalone power button, think twice!
Braun cancelled my order
I ordered a Braun Silk·expert Pro 5 IPL PL5347 from their website when it was on sale.
They ended up canceling my order when the item was no longer on sale, stating that they had an issue with my payment method even though my payment method had a pending charge from Braun.
They told me to contact my bank, so I did, but they said there was no issue with the charge and that Braun could tell me more.
So I believe they deliberately cancelled my order so instead of ~$310, I would have to pay ~$440.
0/10. Shame on you.
Another known fault from Braun but thry do nothing
Another known fault from Brsun, yet they have done absolutely nothing about it
You'll see many people online reporting the on/off button on their 9 series razor just suddenly falling out, for no reason at all
Braun should replace these FOC but as usual their customer service is the worst and could care less
Manufacturing defect (denied by Braun) on Braun multiserve coffee…
I received a Braun multiserve coffee maker by redeeming Air Miles. After 3 months, it would not work anymore, displaying random error codes. Calling customer service was a waste of time, as they asked for pictures and videos of the error codes. Finally, after a month with no coffee, they sent another machine. I asked for another model, even a cheaper one, but they sent the same thing. The exact same thing happened with the 2nd machine! Error codes popping up and nobody at customer service able to help. The only way the machine works is if you leave it unplugged for 1 week, then use it once, then unplug for another week. Horrible product, probably with a manufacturing defect, which Braun will not admit as they would have to recall them. I bought a $20 Walmart coffee maker and it works perfectly.
