Ok so first and foremost know that this is a third party service. What that means is basically you pay more then u need to for the same service. So yes you would get your birth certificate will it be faster if u pay more no. This company gets hired by you then puts in an order with vital check . So you can eliminate the entire extra charge by either going to vital check yourself .
Now this company still changes a pretty high fee anywhere between 50 and 80 bucks when if you called the county clerks office where you were born for the vital records you can have an application emailed to you fill it out send it back in email then pay 10 bucks and have it shipped out the next day free.
I know all of this because I just went through the entire process.
So ill explain..
So first I went on Vital check to get my birth certificate from westchester new York vital check said the turn around for processing was 140 to 150 days . So for me that was not going to work . So I looked on the web to find a place that could get it faster and found that BirthCertificateState.com could expedite it within 2 weeks . So I placed an order that was $124. Bucks mind u . With in 2 days i got an email from vital check that my payment and ordered was processed. This very much confused me as I did not go through vital check. So I had to call and find out whats going on . I was told I placed an order. We'll I didn't So I canceled that order just to find out later it was birth certificate state that put in the order . So right off the bat was was pretty pissed off one that it was not the 79 bucks but 125. And it still would have been the same delivery time of 140 days so I would have been out 125 and would not get it in time. However when I called vital check I was very happy to find out that I could just call the local clerk of courts in white plans so I did not only was I told they could get me the copy but it was 10 dollars no shipping cost. Getting a hold of BirthCertificateState.com was a joke the phone number only said to email them . Then when u have an issue they wanted u to contact vital check . Crazy so obviously I requested my money back as it was not entirely a scam but mis reputation for sure as fast shipping was not possible and its not the company doing your request . So make your life easier call your local county office have them email the application you can fill this out on computer email it back or by hand take a Pic and email it back with the reply send you ID and pay the 10 dollar fee and I was sent the same day that it was in the mail . Unbelievable..
