When they say sizes are approximate that’s an understatement. Supposed to be 70x90cm and the cushion I received when filled is 63cm by 82cm meaning it’s too small for the space. Far too expensive for something that is In total almost 20cm too small.

Doesn’t even come filled. Bag split in box and massively overpriced

Great customer service, prompt delivery and lovely product - beanbag sofa ordered for my grandchildren. I was surprised to read some negative reviews as my experience doesn’t reflect this. Yes I had to fill the sofa with the filling and a few polystyrene beads were spilled but this was not difficult and nobody got hurt. If that is considered the quickest and most effective way to get the product out and looking its best when finished, I have no issue with that.
Thank you for giving me what I needed, I would certainly recommend BugBertbaOriginal to others.

Complete scam. Very high price for a product of low quality.
Beware you have to fill the beanbags yourself and that they don't supply anywhere near enough filling!

Absolute garbage. Nightmare to fill and nowhere near enough filling supplied. Looks nothing like the picture and stupidly overpriced. Will try to return.

Oh how I wish I had read these reviews before ordering myself a footstool from this company. It arrived but when I opened the box expecting to take a footstool out all there was was a fabric cover and a bag of thousands upon thousands of polystyrene beads which had spilled inside the box and then on removing the bag my nail caught it and caused a hole then all the beads spilled out over the garage floor. Me and my husband have just spent the best part of two hours trying to clear them up and salvage as many as possible but all I am left with is a saggy cushion on the floor rather than a footstool. Complete and utter waste of money.

pay 170 $ for a 5$ piece of fabric and a 10$ bag of plastic balls. wich you need to assamble yourself LOL

when you want to return the item they will do everything possible to not pay you back.

If only I'd checked here first - what a joke - you have to put the polystyrene beads in yourself, which takes TWO people.

Don't think they'd sell so many if this was clear when you order them.

What a nightmare. Paid £389 for a 3 seater sofa and footstool that came with clips as zippers which were bent already, smelled like fish as well, my entire living room smelled like fish for days until i decided to get rid of it because it was just making me sick. First attempt to get a refund i get ignored and when i emailed the second time after weeks i get a reply back but they won’t issue a refund or send a new one because they can’t see the first email and I’m outside their policy for returns. Pictures are not enough etc. What doesn’t go against their policy is sending people sofas that look nothing like what’s advertised on their website, not even the colour matches, I’ve used all the foam they sent and the sofa was more like a dog bed what a nightmare. So now I’m sat with only a footstool in my living room while I’m waiting for a sofa from Ikea to get delivered because the one they sent was so so smelly but according to them it’s alright and I should’ve kept it until they decided to do something about it. They can have their footstool back. What a present for Christmas! Save your money and buy something else instead from a different company that actually cares.

Appalling spending this much money on a bean bag chair for it to arrive as a piece of material and massive bag of tiny static foam balls. Instructions quite clearly state the balls are toxic and to keep children and pets away from them…. The product should be filled in a factory, not in customer’s homes. Mess everywhere. Nightmare.

I have had a really good experience with my purchase super quick delivery! cannot believe how quick it arrived - ;0) it came in 3 different boxes which was amazing super light. I purchased the 3 seater sofa bean bag I am only 5ft and I live alone in a really tiny flat and have struggled to find a sofa that will fit through my front door and through the hallway so this is ideal for me, I found it really easy to assemble and the liner that comes with it was really helpful for funnelling the beans into the sofa. overall I am extremely happy with my purchase so thank you ;0)

This is an updated review and I have deleted the original. The background is not so much of an issue. More important is the lovely, extremely kind emails I have received from the company. A very big thank you to Beth for her care and TLC - she does the Big Bertha Original Bean Bag Company very proud. This review is about the "Classic Sofa Beanbag" in their giant beanbag section in the Pom Pom colour. So here is my view of these bean bags. Sadly Trust Pilot does not allow me to send a photo, but the material used is a perfect match for our DFS furniture. It is the most beautiful shady of pink. The bean bag itself is very well made and unusually it has a base, which clearly would provide for the ability to use this outdoors in the Summer, although ours is for our living room. The company provides beans separately. As others have said, this is not at all easy to grapple with. However, it is in part to help customers as we are all different and everyone needs different amounts of the beans to feel comfy. They provide so many beans - the thought is there, although we used only 2/3rds of those provided. Key tip is to add slowly and keep testing... you will definitely not need all the beans. We would have liked a handle, and an inner bag for the beans. These the company has in R&D - they aim to add these, but want them to be perfect before doing so. Whilst I cannot show a photo sadly, what I can say is the beanbag is a) beautiful, b) comfy (the thing that is most important to them), c) clearly hard wearing and d) there is attention to detail evident everywhere. Delivery too was next day. Finally though it is the TLC and care of Beth and her team that makes this a company that I can recommend so highly and without qualification. Yes, the phone lines can be busy - but do email. I received responses within two hours on the same day. They are there for you. 5 Stars PLUS PLUS. * VERY * highly recommended.

I wish I'd read the reviews before purchasing a setee bean bag.
At first look i thought it's a lot of money for a bag and bag of polystyrene beads.
Filled it up it looked nothing like the pictures on website,I had to ask for more beads which they sent no problem.
It's now five months of use,and the setee has just collapsed completely out of shape and is unusable.
I contacted big bertha but have got nowhere at all with them

Arrived in a box with a bag full of polystyrene balls, yes, DIY. Fill the bean bag up yourself. What an absolute pain in the a**e. Paid £90 for the pleasure and deep joy of spilling polystyrene balls all over my kitchen, no doubt be finding them for years to come.

If you want a hassle free, straight out the box ready to use bean bag, don't purchase from this place.

Absolutely awful product, what a faff putting this £189 bean bag together yourself! Ended up with my living room and kitchen covered in beans. To top it off the bean bag is not even that comfy, Dunelm had a much cheaper and more comfortable option. Reading the reviews on here, I don't hold my breath to return it and get a refund!

Well what a faff Beanbags do not come pre filled it's an absolute nightmare to do and there is no liner so impossible to wash DONT BOTHER expensive mistake

Horrifying! Horrifying!! If you are tempted to indulge in what looks like a luxurious sofa mark my words those looks are deceiving you. NEVER in 45 years have I say on anything as uncomfortable. Firstly you slide right off it, when you do finally get on you struggle to get back up. Elderly cannot sit on it, people with health conditions cannot sit on it, there’s not even space for a medium sized adult to sit on it. A child to teen maybe. It is the settee from absolute hell, the best place for it and its millions of toxic little polystyrene balls is on a bonfire. Absolutely repulsed. That’s not even the worst of it there the diy sofa fill to contend with, I can’t even begin to tell you what a traumatic experience that is. I ended up inhaling that polystyrene and do wander is this is why I’m now extremely ill. It gets worse, the zip at the back is stuck so far inside the material that the actual zip is burst that keeps everything in! I have had no response to my refund request that I sent two days ago which to some dosen’t seem long but that is very long when I paid the product was sent immediately.
I want this vile thing out my house away from my disabled child!
It’s not child safe as deceived, again false advertising. “Comfort as a standard” more false advertising. This is deception and fraud. I will be compensated no matter what it takes..Show less

Ok, so initially after finding it impossible to get through to anyone via phone or email with a request for a change to my order (straight after making it)
I, like many people on here, was left feeling very angry and frustrated. Making me want to leave a one star review.
However, once they did contact me within 48 hrs…by which time my original order had arrived (so prompt delivery!)…they went out of their way to rectify the situation. They were polite and helpful via email. Within another 24hrs the product was exchanged. No fuss. No hold ups. So I really can’t complain. Yes, the bean bag chair needed to be filled which would be a problem if you have no one to help you. But all in all I am very happy with the product and so glad they were able to fulfil my request to get the order swapped before my grandsons birthday. So thank you….

There is absolutely ZERO customer support with this business.They DO NOT answer phones OR respond to emails.
Considering that I paid almost 150 euro for a bean bag and footstool you would expect some feedback with any queries.
I will never order from them again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone to do so.
The product itself is definitely not representative of the price I paid. Way over priced!
You also have to fill the beanbag yourself with the bag of beans provided.
Messy and time consuming and for the cost this should have been already done in store. Very disappointed and annoyed at the lack of any feedback.
