I recommend not using AT&T Cell service…
I recommend not using AT&T Cell service because when you setup your cell service, the price they will tell you will be different and higher than the actual price. It is not correct. Make sure to cancel your service before your payment date.
Customer service and dishonest sales tactics
Customer service and dishonest sales tactics. We left our previous provider of 20+ years for an AT&T promotional package, and we completely regret it. We will definitely be switching back as soon as our two-year contract is up. We live in a rural area with poor cell service, a representative named Tabatha convinced us to try a home Wi-Fi hotspot. She explicitly guaranteed it was a risk-free, 30-day trial with no fees if it didn't work. We tried it for a week but wifi kept lagging, so we returned the router during the 2nd week. Instead of a zero-dollar balance, AT&T billed us for the monthly service and the cost of the returned router. When we called customer support, the first agent hung up on my husband when he asked to escalate the issue. The second agent we spoke with was a tad better and confirmed they received the returned router within the 30-day window, but revealed that the "free trial" we were promised doesn't exist. We were outright lied to just to get us to agree to the device. They also told us that we need to be set up on auto-pay, which we have been for the past year. Trying to get us to switch our auto-pay with an ACH account? This agent also penalized us for not calling more often to get a better rate and that it's our responsibility to get the best rate and to make sure we're not overcharged. Seriously? This is what customer service has evolved to? Avoid AT&T if you value honesty, integrity and reliable customer service.
making things very difficult
Consumer has do more work
It seems as if more work is put on the consumer just to pay the bill. There used to be a very easy option to hit 1 and pay the bill. Now, you hit 1, and it directs you to do it online. Which is more time I have to put out just to pay the bill. Then if you call in, your charged because a human had to assist with the payment. AT&T is so pathetic.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company. They have people on customer service that do no speak English, they bury their lines under a handful of dirt keeping at risk. And they will put you on hold till they close. AVOID this company
I just switched to AT&T
I just switched to AT&T. I've been with them for a week and I'm impressed with the speed and reliability that my former provider didn't have. I'm tech savvy, but I had a lot of trouble with setting up AT&T Air internet. Last Thursday I received the package for AT&T Air and set it up. It was easy to scan the QR code and the network and password were added to my phone. I couldn't add the network and password to the smart home internet app, because I needed another email address to add Air internet. I tried making the new email address att.net and failed. I was up until 2 am trying to figure it out.
The very next day I chatted with tech support and they gave me instructions how to make an email account, and register Air internet, then merge the 2 emails. It took me 2 hours to set it up with the help of tech support. Once set up it ran beautifully.
AT&T should make setup simple. I had to jump through a lot of hoops. There should be a way to add products and services through the website and with one email address, or calling the toll free sales line. That way tech support, billing and customer service can efficiently help with serious issues instead of helping all new activations and overloading their employees.
I just watched a grown ass women cry…
I just watched a grown ass women cry because your customer service is so awful to use. After being on the phone a good 45 minutes and her complaint "being routed up" she was then hung up on to start it all over again. She is now headed to the store again after days earlier being of no help. So we shall see what issue she has that can't be fixed in store. Maybe they do an amazing job and this can go away, but based on recent experiences not a chance in the world of that happening. Also the motorola razr flip phones are pure grabage.
STAY AWAY FROM AT&T
STAY AWAY FROM AT&T — EXTREMELY MISLEADING SALES PRACTICES. AT&T representatives came to our home and repeatedly told us the 14-day trial was completely free, with no fees, and that we could open and test the iPhone and return it if we weren’t satisfied. We returned it within the first week because the service was unacceptable, yet AT&T still charged us a restocking fee and refused to remove it, despite us following exactly what we were told. This feels like FRAUD—promising customers a “free trial” to get them to sign up and then charging fees afterward.
AT&T really has gone a cheater wireless…
AT&T really has gone a cheater wireless company. couple of months back i was lured to bundle my ATT internet service with wireless plan with 2 phone lines and bundle was sold to me for $109.99 + taxes by the customer service agent. after couple of months they are still charging $200 per month as of today to my back account via autopay. Done with this rogue company forever.
At&t sux homeless hooker crotchel area!
At&ts customer service is a good as the quality Learing Center in Minnesota! I can't get a human on the phone as I've been trying for the last 2 hours. They attempted an $800.00 charge on my Amazon credit card & they won't speak to me about it. Straight up criminals!
Shady Service
I came over to AT&T with all of my own equipment paid off. I spoke to a rep on the phone he gave me a quote but he failed to tell me all the fees that were tack on like activation fees that they do not tell you about! Also I was supposed to get a 55+ discount and it was on my bill so I called CSR and of course I talk to someone from China and she wasn't helpful and told me it was added. I received a bill less than a week later for $160 more than what my monthly bill was quoted. This is very shady service and SHAME ON AT&T for scamming new customers. I went into the store fuming and now I had to speak to another person about this and he told me ya that's why you shouldn't to get new service over the phone? Seriously!! Then he told me my 55 discount was never added and if I signed up for the wifi it would be bring my bill down. He also told me I will get a credit after my 2 billing cycles. Beware of this shady carrier when you come over from your old carrier and their activation fees.
AT&T is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
AT&T is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! You can’t get anyone to help you who speaks English. They have completely screwed up my wireless plan and I’m paying for a phone and service that was paid for years ago! No one wants to help they just keep sucking your money! We have been with them over seven years and I cannot wait to be done!
Do NOT get ATT for anything
Do NOT get ATT for anything. Their phone tree sucks. You can never talk to a real person. When you do, they have no idea how to help you. Transfer you multiple times. You spend an hour an a half on the phone to still not have the issue resolved!
Long contracts with prices double the norm.
Long contracts with prices double the promised amount. Left our last phone company and ported our numbers, important business numbers. This has been the most expensive, frustrating 4 years. We're long past the days of comparing who drops calls where in my area. I can't wait to be out of this contract soon. Lies in the original bundle. A service offered that didn't become available for 2 years. OUTRAGEOUS monthly bills. I wish I had seen Trustpilot before. The lengthy customer service conversations that go in circles and last for hours.... I've probably logged 100 phone hours trying to get help, explanations.... Long fruitless frustrating conversations. Credits given for the blatant but never the most blatant - THIS IS DOUBLE THE $$ FROM WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cell reception is trash
I switched phone providers from T Mobile to AT&T and instantly regretted it. AT&T cell coverage is absolutely terrible, I am better off not paying for phone service since I can only use my phone under WiFi most of the time. I get terrible cell reception at home and at my work place which causes my phone battery to drain quickly throughout the day. Aside from work and at home, I’ve also experienced poor cell coverage in a lot of different locations, stay away from their poor service.
Half a star wasn't an option
Half a star wasn't an option. Signed on for a 50 dollar per line contract. I have yet to pay the agreed amount, it's consistently been over 150 ever single bill. Even after multiple times of calling, complaining, and then saying they'll resolve it and I'll see it on my next bill. Never ever happened. When I upgraded my phone after paying it off, they added 2 Xtra lines that I don't have or use, so now I'm paying for 4 phones when I only have 2. They say it was a promo deal but my bill went up and the upgrade wasn't a more expensive upgrade. On top of that, you can't change the name on the account without dragging the customer service reps hand through the process of doing so. Straight brainless idiots on every level of employment and ownership
They allowed my phone number to be…
They allowed my phone number to be illegally ported to another company even after I called them and told them I was not the one requesting the change. This in turn allowed criminals to get into all my accounts and open numerous credit cards under my name. All this after they swore my information would still be safe even after my number was allowed without my permission to be ported out. I am now 6 weeks into dealing with their mistakes and trying to get my accounts back in order. They are useless and do not give a crap that they caused these problems.
AT&T CUSTOMER SERVICE
AT&T CUSTOMER SERVICE: I use autopay with AT&T. Using the App to connect with my account it tells me my payment card has expired, although it continues to collect off it. I updated the card to make sure it had correct information. After a period of time the warning came back, so today I removed the autopay and added it back. Now it tells me it can take up to TWO BILLING CYCLES to activate AND I loose my autopay discount (during the wait time, I assume). I called and fought the AI phone battle, accepted the offer the get a SCHEDULED CALL BACK AT 9:15am. It is now 9:43 and no call has been received. AT&T customer servicing is the worst.
AT&T sucks I would advise anyone not to…
AT&T sucks I would advise anyone not to deal with this provider. They have people in this company that are not honest or maybe that’s the way the co. Is set up. They tell you one thing to get you in and once you’re in it a whole different story. I’m out of over a thousand dollars listening to the lies I hater it ! As soon as I’am able I’m leaving and will never ever deal with with this co. again. So my advise is don’t trust this provider.
Simply AT&T sucks anymore in all…
Simply AT&T sucks anymore in all aspects! Im paying for unlimited everything. Yet I cant watch Disney plus on my brand new phone anymore. The internet is so slow I have to use my T mobile wifi at home to even use the pos phone. They've known about this an dont care at all. Second I can get rid of this phone an service best believe I will be an NEVER looking back!
