Greatest Scam Network in Existence

Airtel is the worst telecom company I have ever used.
The network is terrible, their advertising is completely misleading, and their customer service is almost non-existent. I bought ₦30,000 worth of data for "unlimited" use, only to be told afterwards that my router is not compatible. The funny thing is, their website clearly shows that the device is supported.
I complained to customer support multiple times, but nothing was done about it. This is pure daylight robbery. Airtel is scamming Nigerians with false promises and poor service. It's really unfortunate that we don't have a competent regulatory body to hold them accountable.
I strongly advise anyone thinking of using Airtel to look for better alternatives. Terrible experience!
Avoid Airtel.

Airtel is more or less a fraud

Airtel is more or less a fraud, my airtime always disappears even without using it. I had tried several times recharging without using it but it will disappeared. All effort to speak to customer support is zero.
Another fraudulent activities of Airtel is their YouTube night data bonus, once it is 12:00 am, your YouTube will cease to load while you are using Airtel network.

Slow network

For a company that has been in service for over a decade, i am gutted at the speed of the network service even when in areas that display good signals, often times, the data seems to not work even when there is data in my balance. Airtel needs to step up, even at night, data speeds are very poor

Airtel Nigeria is something of a fraud.

Airtel Nigeria is something of a fraud.
I have on several occasions paid for data for my mifi and yet it wouldn't reflect on my net data balance. Their customer service whether in their physical offices or online are basically the same full of men and women who only takes multiple compliments without resolving a single one. In a sane clime this company ought to have been grounded by now owing to numerous lawsuits against them resulting from sharp practices.

Smartbox router and general worst support

Airtel as number one worst network. I bought their smart box router. At first I have issue and their is no customer support. I got it in Ibadan and traveled to ilorin. I reached to the lady that I thought it from. Only to tell me I'll need to come back to Ibadan from ilorin. And later chat then on Facebook they redirect me to harmony in ilorin when I get there, I was told to go back to where I got it without even any explanation. Later I start using my other airtel and the router sim card for little sub like 2gb, 3gb and the network will be okay. When there is spike in data I chat the lady and fortunately she replied me. I chat her with another number and she replied. I ask if there will be increased in the smart box data price and she said no. When I want to do it I saw 30k. And I still do it. Now since I do it. Their network is not okay. I nearly cried. WTF is this. 30k sub have on flight mode like 8 times. If you're reading this And you want to get any of there service just choose MTN that'll be okay.

Honest Review: My Frustrating Experience with Airtel Smartbox After 3 Months

Since I bought the Airtel Smartbox, it has been one frustration after the other. I've been using it for over 3 months now, and the experience has been nothing short of disappointing.

They promised 1 month of free browsing after purchase, but I couldn’t do much with it until I got frustrated and made a payment for a subscription. At first, the WiFi seemed to work fine, but after just 5 days, I experienced prolonged downtime that lasted over a week.

When the connection finally returned, it lasted only 3 days before the same issue happened again. I assumed it might be due to using the "unlimited" data plan, so I decided to switch after my 1-month plan expired. This time, I paid ₦20,000 for 200GB, thinking a capped plan would be better.

To my surprise, this plan was even worse! It’s been a week now in my third month of using the Airtel Smartbox, and I’ve had nothing but regrets. I feel like smashing the device out of sheer frustration.

I wish I could sue Airtel for fraud and false promises, but in Nigeria, justice is often reserved for the highest bidder. I’ve left this fight to God.

If you’re thinking of buying the Airtel Smartbox, save yourself the trouble and invest that money in something worthwhile. Manage the struggles you already face with Airtel's mobile network—it’s still better than this.

FAKE 4G ROUTER

At this point I want to declare that the new airtel unlimited router device is fake,a way of scamming people every month,it doesn't last up to 2 weeks before the so called unlimited monthly subscription stop working or cannot connect
To think that I subscribed not even up to 2 weeks and it is not connecting again only for it to keep popping up incorrect password, surprisingly I found another new password on it, yet still not connecting
No reasonable customer service to contact

Bullshit

Extremely disappointed with Airtel…

Extremely disappointed with Airtel internet services! The connectivity is absolutely terrible - constant drops and slow speeds. And to make matters worse, the customer service is non-existent. No live support available, and the team doesn't respond to emails or calls. Avoid Airtel internet at all costs! 🚫💔
