Bad experience from this company
Bought a Corsa for my son's first car and on the day of delivery an engine management fault came on. They collected the following day and rectified but returned the vehicle covered in mud and both footwellls dirty. On contact they claimed it was as they had recieved it which was untrue. The delivery driver managed to damage the front bumper by recklessly driving too fast off the delivery vehicle. This was clipped back in but the following day I had it thoroughly inspected by my local garage who advised the front crash bar was badly damaged and needed replacing. In addition the front headligh bracket was snapped and therefore the light was out of alignment and rear high level brake light wasnt working. I advised all of these faults and was told they weren't covered under warranty. It will now cost me £300 to get fixed which is something I would have expected to have been picked up in the service they claimed to have undertaken just before I bought the vehicle. Not a good experience and a level of dishonesty. Be very careful when buying from this place as they are misleading in their descriptions.
do not buy from this place
do not buy from this place - they sell you a car which is damaged and will not fix it. We bought a car for my partners sons 17th so meant to be a special occasion, and they damaged the car on delivery, it had an engine management fault, and on further inspection they have damaged the underneath, and the light fitting is broken, they refuse to repair (apart from the engine light) and offered £150 to remove reviews but wont cover the cost of repairs of damage they caused. They even returned the car absolutely dirty inside, its appalling.
Avoid!
Avoid. Bought a car from here that had issues from the start. After their 'fix' didn't work we asked for a refund or exchange on the car. They asked for another opportunity to fix it and promised a refund if they couldn't. After taking it back three times (it might have even been four!), we told them we weren't confident in their 'fixes' as we were still having issues and wanted a refund. At this point, we were still in our warranty period, yet they flat out refused a refund and told us the car was 'fine'. We took it to get a diagnosis from two different garages who both immediately knew what the issue was. It cost us £2100 to fix, which unfortunately we had to pay as we now couldn't sell the car on without making a massive loss. Will be taking this company to court.
Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time. Despite a conversation and agreeing I'd go see the car that day, 1.5 hour trip later they had already sold it when I got there. No thought to have common courtesy and contact me to avoid a 3 hour round trip. They even denied calling me after my online enquiry via Autotrader despite having the evidence of the call on my phone. The rave about award winning customer service, yeah award for the worst customer service. Avoid, avoid.
Utterly disgusted
I am utterly disgusted with the experience I’ve had at Affordable Car Centre. I bought a vehicle on finance from them, and within DAYS of driving it off the lot, it started losing 1 litre of coolant every two days. A major fault like that makes the car completely unsafe and unreliable. I returned it under my legal right to reject within 30 days as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, expecting a straightforward resolution. Instead, I’ve been met with nothing but unethical behavior and financial bullying.
They promised to repair the car and provide a courtesy vehicle, but even after rejecting it due to the severity of the issue, they’ve refused to properly unwind the finance agreement. The finance company took a payment of £450 from me despite the rejection, and Affordable Car Centre had the audacity to demand £1,000 to cancel the agreement—a fee that has ZERO legal basis. This is outright extortion. I’ve made it clear I won’t pay a penny of their unlawful demands, and I’ve already raised this with the finance provider under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
This dealership’s conduct is predatory and shameful. They’re banking on customers not knowing their rights and are willing to exploit people financially over faulty vehicles. I’ve given them a chance to resolve this professionally, but if they don’t, I’m fully prepared to escalate this to the Financial Ombudsman Service, report them to the Financial Conduct Authority, and pursue legal action to recover my money.
To anyone considering buying from Affordable Car Centre: RUN. Don’t risk your money or safety with a dealership that sells defective cars and then tries to strong-arm you into paying unlawful fees when you exercise your legal rights. I’m sharing my story to warn others—steer clear of this place unless you want a nightmare on your hands.
Avoid at all costs I bought a car here…
Avoid at all costs I bought a car here and it was a cat s this was not told was not in the description, only found out when I received the log book, after that it was all down hill from that point, battery went, it had a massive oil leak then the turbo went, all in all a waste of money and I need a car for work... had to then buy another car from a reputable dealer! Dodgy mot, trading standards were contacted and they were well known to them, they were called in told off.... and still continue to trade despite ripping people off! Stay well away!

Even after numerous emails enquiring the return of my deposit i had no response from the owner!

Dont buy a car from this garrage they sell damaged cars and pass them off as undamaged buyer be very aware!
Do not buy from here if you value your safety.
Unfortunately i have to urge others to steer clear of this dealership if you value your safety - these cars are not roadworthy. I purchased a car in september and noticed faults the SAME DAY of buying, and on the journey home the car went into limp mode on a very busy roundabout. I had the car inspected by a local dealership who notified me that the car had sooo many issues (engine rattling needing further investigation, DPF filter completely clogged, top strut mounts completely corroded, glow plugs gone) and that the car had been mapped to prevent the EML light showing with SIX permanent engine faults! Dealership wouldn’t take it back despite owning the car less than 3 weeks and notifying them of the issues within such a short time frame. Had to raise a case with my finance company as this dealership completely stopped responding to any messages or calls. The finance company found the dealership at fault after further investigation and took the car away, refunded me my deposit and any payments i had made. They do not comply with consumer rights, AA standards and i do not believe they even checked the car before selling it to me even though they ‘MOT,d’ & serviced it before collection - these faults would’ve been picked up immediately yet the MOT was all clear….
Quality used car company
We were looking for a car and affordable cars had the best reviews so we went to have a look. They had a good selection of cars and Dave was friendly and talked us through a few cars we liked. We ended up buying one that day and when we went back to pick it up, we had a good chat with Paul who was very friendly and also took our old car off us. We would certainly recommend this company as they never put us under pressure and the cars they had were very good quality and we feel confident that we have been sold a quality car. Thank you for your help and the car is running great
Extremely Unprofessional Experience
I recently had a very disappointing experience with this dealership, specifically with the salesperson named Ali. I viewed a car on their website and agreed to purchase it. Within two hours, we were exchanging invoices and preparing to transfer funds.
However, just minutes after I authorized the payment, I received a text saying the car was “now sold.” This was after an agreement had clearly been reached.
This experience was a complete waste of time and felt extremely unprofessional. I would caution others dealing with this dealership, as their handling of sales is careless and disrespectful to potential buyers.
This company is not worth dealing with ,Con People
This company states its a very good company and is backed by the AA. They are terrible,do not reply to inquires ,do not contact you ,do not reply to values of part exchanges ,in fact not interested in selling vehicles, they have on their website, they are interested in collecting DATA, waisted my time three times .and as for the AA why do you support this company, you are as bad. All con companies
Faulty cars and poor service
It took 2 months to get the car from when it was bought with excuses and lies about servicing.
When I eventually got the car, it had an engine warning light which took another hassle to get fixed.
Very poor service, cannot be trusted selling faulty cars that I had to take to another garage to fully service and fix.

Lovely dealership good setup highly recomend to check their stock and purchase from them
Do not buy from this garage
Do not buy from this garage! I totally agree with the other bad reviews. Initially on purchase they were so helpful however we drove the car just 45 mins up the road it developed a fault. It was returned to the garage for repair however the fault was not rectified. Since then, the car has broken down twice and cost us a substantial amount of money to repair and get road worthy. The condition of the brakes were described as "neglectful" by our own garage.
We never wish to go through this experience again. Please think very carefully before buying a car from them.

Excellent garage
Excellent garage, excellent service, good communication! I bought a Mercedes from them with a three-month warranty. There were one or two small things to fix and everything was done qualitatively and on time. I give five stars with pleasure. Thank you!

Shut this garage down
“My son purchased a car from this garage on May 16th 2024 Despite the car being overpriced and having high mileage, he and his father, who aren’t car experts, trusted the company’s reputation.
Unfortunately, just two weeks later, the car broke down. The garage identified the issue as a faulty sensor. We returned it to the company, who claimed to have repaired it, but they did not. Another two weeks later, it broke down again.
An independent mechanic found petrol in the coolant tank, which is extremely dangerous. The mechanic reported that a sealant had been added to prevent the car from seizing up, but it eventually did. If my son had been driving on a motorway, the car could have caught fire.
When we returned the car, the company promised to replace the engine but didn’t follow through. We found the same engine in pieces on the floor. The mechanic was extremely rude and disrespectful, even making a point that if I was present, they’d charge for the car, but if I wasn’t, they wouldn’t.
We didn’t want the car back, just a refund, but because they accused me of scratching their car and had me wrongfully arrested, they refused. Instead, they decided to put my son’s car into storage at £10 a day and charge my son, then insisted we fix the car that they accused me off scratching even though I did nothing wrong.
After the false accusation and refusal to refund us, the company dragged out the process as long as possible, clinging to every penny. When we finally went to mediation, they agreed to pay only £1,500 and kept the car. Even then, they breached the mediation agreement and tried to delay payment further, making false claims that we had the logbook, when it was actually in the car. Ultimately, they got the amount down to £1,300, coming out better off while causing us immense stress for nearly a year. This company is dangerous and should be shut down immediately.
I have given this review five stars so it appears at the top.”
